V&A 150 Celebration Regatta 10th May 2014 1. Venue: V&A Waterfront, Cape Town. 2. Date: Saturday the 10th of May 2014 starting at 8h00. Coxes briefing is at 7h30. 3. Course: The Regatta Course is a 500m straight course in the Victoria Basin. 4. Entries: All entries must be sent to Marleen Potgieter strictly before the 5th of March 2012, to marleen@equityworks.co.za Clubs may only enter their A crews. Entrants may only enter 2 events each. Boat classes: Quads; Single sculls, Coxed and Coxless Fours and Eights, Sea-going rowing Singles, Doubles and Quads. Boats will be provided by the host club, otherwise each club is limited to bringing 2 boats per class to the venue. Cost per entry: (R40.00) per competitor per event excluding coxes. Any club not having paid by the closing date will not be entered into the final draw. Refreshments: Food, snacks and cool drinks will be available for sale at the venue. 6. Rules and Regulations: The Regatta will be run by WESPRO in terms of rules and laws published in the RowSA rules, available on the website: www.rowsa.co.za. All rowers entering the Regatta must be registered with RowSA, or the concomitant rowing body of the country of origin. By entering this regatta both the club and rower acknowledge that the entered rower has undergone and passed a sculling test. A compulsory traffic rules and safety briefing for all coaches (or delegated person), coxes and rowers will be held at 7h30. The course is in a working harbour and roll call will be taken and absence will result in disqualification. Regatta Start: 8h00. All boats are to be fitted with heel straps, bow balls and lane numbers, and failure to comply with this rule will result in disqualification. The two minute rule will be strictly applied for the duration of the regatta. All issues relating to the programme are to be addressed with the regatta organisers before Thursday of the regatta. Proper dress code is required and failure to comply with this rule will result in disqualification.

Trophies will also be awarded to certain classes. 8. Adverse Weather Conditions: Regatta Control reserves the right to make changes to the racing programme to accommodate for shipping movements, or if the weather creates unfair or unrowable conditions. 9. Indemnity: The, RowSA, WESPRO or the emergency medical services provided do not take responsibility for any damage to property or any bodily injury during the V&A Regatta. The entering of your club members serves as an acceptance of INDEMNITY in this regatta (see below *): * We declare that we accept the rules of entry and that we shall participate in the V&A Regatta at our own risk and indemnify the organisers, sponsors and officials of this rowing regatta against any claim of whatsoever nature and howsoever arising; which may result from our club s participation.

Course: The Regatta Course is a 1000-1500m straight rowing course from Pelican Point. 4. Entries: All entries must be sent to Marleen Potgieter strictly before the 5th of March 2012, to marleen@equityworks.co.za. Clubs may enter any crews. Entrants may race an unlimited number of races. Boat classes: Single Sculls, Double Sculls, Pairs, Quads; Coxed and Coxless Fours and Eights. Cost per entry: (R35.00) per competitor per event including coxes.
