The Miche Bag Story On the way home from work in the fall of 2004, Michelle Romero did something most women have done-she spilled on her favourite handbag. Frustrated by the thought of hunting for a replacement bag and then transferring all the contents, she wished there were a way to change just the outside of the bag. Basic Care Instructions: The original concept of the Miche Bag was inspired by a spill. If your bag ever needs a facelift or is no longer up to par, you can replace your Shell with ease. The Miche Bag was created so that consumers could not only change the look of their bag, but could also switch out their Shell if it became dirty. We realize that not all spills require the purchase of a new Shell, so if your Shell becomes slightly soiled, you may wipe the bag or Shells with a damp cloth. Petite & Classic Storage: You will want to fold them once (as they were in original packaging). Do not fold them in thirds as this will cause the material to ripple and create a gap at the bottom edge of the base. Alternate the direction of the metal feet when stacking your Shells to avoid any indentations on the adjacent Shell. Demi and Prima Storage: Store by stacking flat. All Miche Shells: For material Shells, a spray-on fabric protector may be used. Some of Miche s highest fashion Shells are made with a material that can transfer colour. These Shells may also be affected by heat. Place a protective barrier in between Shells such as tissue paper or store in original packaging.
