Junior Golf Camps & Schools Junior Golf Camp (ages 5-8) July 16-20 July 30 - August 3 Monday thru Friday 9:00 AM-11:00 AM Tuition: $120 Student-to-instructor ratio 8:1 Limited to 24 per session A fun-filled week of golf, our Junior Golf Camps are designed to develop basic golf fundamentals and skills. Camp participants will learn full swing, rules and etiquette, and short game skills. Time will be spent learning basic fundamentals and playing a few holes. Participants learn the fundamentals of the full swing with video analysis. Short game skills and rules and etiquette of the game are also taught. Instructors will go out on course with students as space allows to teach golf skills. Each class is grouped according to skill level, age and experience. Junior Tennis Clinics & Schools Mini Stars (ages 3 and 4) Mondays and Wednesdays 2:15-2:45 Session 1 April 2-April 23 $48.00 per child or $8.00 drop-in rate Session 2 April 30-May 21 $48.00 per child or $8.00 drop-in rate Our goal with this introductory clinic is to make the court a fun place to be! We will focus on tossing and catching drills, hand/eye coordination and moving our feet. We will practice listening to our coaches and introduce the idea of score keeping by catching the red foam balls. The juniors in this clinic will need a 19 racquet in order to participate. Bright Stars (ages 5 and 6) Mondays and Wednesdays 3:15-3:45 Session 1 April 2-April 23 $48.00 per child or $8.00 drop-in rate Session 2 April 30-May 21 $48.00 per child or $8.00 drop-in rate In this clinic the juniors will start to develop basic forehands, backhands, volleys and serves while using the correct grips. They will continue to work on movement, balance, agility and hand eye coordination while beginning to understand about the flight of the ball. The learning in this session is made easier and more fun by continuing to use a variety of games while ensuring each child s success. The children will be using a red foam ball and will be on a 36 court and must have a 21 racquet to participate. Future Stars (ages 7-8) Mondays and Wednesdays 3:45-4:30 Session 1 April 2-April 23 $64.00 per child or $10.00 drop-in rate Session 2 April 30-May 21 $64.00 per child or $10.00 drop-in rate Juniors in this clinic will be continuing to develop their forehands, backhands, volleys and serves and learning to execute simple tactics. The development at this level allows for an allcourt game style with net play, but with a smaller size court. Full tennis rules begin to apply with no-ad games and shorter sets. This group will be using the red quick start ball on the 36 court and they must have a 23 racquet in order to participate. Shooting Stars (ages 9-10) Mondays and Wednesdays 4:30-5:30 Session 1 April 2-April 23 $80.00 per child or $12.00 drop-in rate Session 2 April 30-May 21 $80.00 per child or $12.00 drop-in rate In theses sessions, we are learning athletic skills required in tennis combined with learning how to think quickly, listen and work in a group. This level moves up to the orange ball and the 60 size court and would use a 25 racquet in order to participate. Page 3

Page 4 Shining Stars (ages 11-12) Tuesdays and Thursdays 3:45-5:00 Session 1 April 3-April 24 $ 96.00 per child or $14.00 drop-in rate Session 2 May 1-May 22 $96.00 per child or $14.00 drop-in rate This is the perfect clinic for adolescents who have not previously been introduced or exposed to the game of tennis. By combining exercises that emphasize general skill development with stroke development, your child will be rallying in no time! This clinic will be on a full size court while hitting a green dot ball and the child would use either a 25 racquet or a 27 racquet depending on their size. Super Stars (ages 12 and up) Tuesdays and Thursdays 5:00-6:30 Session 1 April 3-April 24 $120.00 per child or $17.00 drop-in rate Session 2 May 1-May 22 $120.00 per child or $17.00 drop-in rate After graduating from the progressive tennis, the children in this clinic will be fully developed to successfully use regular balls and play on full size courts. Focus is primarily on tactical aspects of the game mixed with technical development. Footwork, agility and strength development will also be incorporated. Dress Code for Tennis NO denim shorts, flip flops, crocs, keens, toms, sperrys, sandals or running shoes. t-shirts with gym shorts and any kind of court shoe are permitted. Summer Tennis Camps (AGES 7 & UP) Monday-Friday Session Dates: June 18-22 July 2-6 July 16-20 July 30- Aug 3 Time: 9:00- NOON Cost: $180 Student-to-instructor ratio 8:1; Limited to 24 per session; 8 spots per age division (7-8) (9-10) (11-12) (7-8) year olds This group will be using the red quick start ball on the 36 court and they must have a 23 racquet. (9-10) year olds The orange quick start ball is used in this group and the kids will be on the 60 court with a 25 racquet. (11-12) year olds We will be using a regular size tennis court and the green dot tennis balls with this group of players. They can hit with either a 25 or 27 racquet. This summer camp is designed to strengthen all aspects of the tennis game for players of all ability. Each day will include footwork, agility, stroke development, general rules and sportsmanship. The pros will focus on a different skill Monday through Thursday and all of the drills and play will be centered on that particular stroke. Daily, there will be round robin play, both singles and doubles, encouraging students to play points and matches preparing them for eventual team tennis at Carmel Country Club. Throughout the week, each child will have the opportunity to have his or her strokes filmed and analyzed. Every day will consist of footwork, live ball drills, singles and doubles strategy and a lot of match play. Spend the week sharpening your skills and building your confidence as you enter the fall tennis season.

Carmel Combo Camp Is your young one swinging a racket really well but hasn t yet picked up a club? Can your child out-putt the rest of the family but could also use more time on the courts? Whether your child is a beginner or already great at both tennis and golf, Carmel has the perfect camp option this summer. Carmel Combo Camp offering tennis and golf five days a week. We want all Carmel kids to enjoy our exceptional tennis and golf facilities and have fun improving their games at all levels. This is a step up from the golf and tennis combo camp of the past, adding an additional daily activity and available Monday through Friday. That s right, this weekly camp is available to your child each weekday, and leaves the afternoon open for swimming or other summer fun! 45 mins. Golf 45 mins. Tennis 45 mins. Activity*** Carmel Combo Camp Details Open to Ages 4-12; All Skill Levels Monday-Friday; 9am-12pm 4 Weeks: June 11-15, June 25-29 July 9-13, July 23-27 $165 per week for/members; $195 per week for/guests This fee is all-inclusive for the week! Registration is separate for each week. Sign up for all four weeks, or work in whatever weeks fit will with the rest of your summer fun! Camps are limited to 48 campers per week. The Camper-to-Instructor ratio is 8:1 and whether your child is a beginner or already great at either tennis or golf, they will have lots of fun and have the plenty of opportunities to improve their games while they make new friends at Carmel! Campers will be broken into groups based on their ages (4-6 year old, 7-9 year olds, 10+). Each camper will receive a Carmel Combo Camp t-shirt. Daily snacks and drinks are provided. Camps will be broken up every day to include 45 minutes of Golf, Tennis, and an Extra-Activity. ***Extra-Activities will include kickball, croquet, bocce ball, tie-dying T-shirts, a weekly personalized art creation, and more!

Carmel Combo Camp The Golf portion of camp will blend FUN and golf instruction together in a seamless way. Contests, Challenges, Games and Expert Instruction are the keys to our Camps. Check out some of the fun filled activities: Putting Contests Up and Down Challenges Velcro Golf Targets Baseball-Golf Games Hit the Sweet-Spot Long Drive Contests Water Balloon Relay Races and many more fun-filled golf activities! Campers 7 and older can bring their own golf clubs or they will be provided. The Tennis portion of camp will provide your child a fun learning environment and opportunity to build and enhance skills. Using a variety of games and drills, we ll improve your child s existing game or simply introduce them to the basics. We ll enjoy the new tennis facility to the fullest and have plenty of fun on the courts! This hands-on camp will allow the children to prepare tra ditional meals from countries like Italy, France and Japan, in addition to home-style favorites from the USA! Each chef to be will have his/her own apron and chef s hat, which they can where at Carmel and at home in their own kitchen. The camp will end with a Next Great Chef Challenge to test their skills and capture the attention of our influential judges. Swim Swim Instruction & Swim Team Small Group Instruction Lessons are taught Monday through Thursday with Fridays for makeups or rain days. Swim lessons are taught in 2 week sessions. Lessons are scheduled from a waiting list, as group lessons with a minimum of 3 students and a maximum of 5 students. Classes are held whenever the minimum number of students express interest and register. Level 1: Introduction to Water Skills Helps students increase their comfort in the water. Three year old minimum. Level 2: Fundamental Aquatic Skills Give students success with fundamental skills. Level 3: Stroke Development Builds on skills in Level 2 through additional guided practice. Level 4: Stroke Improvement Develops confidence in the skills learned in previous levels and improves technique for strokes. Level 5: Stroke Refinement Provides further coordination and refinement of strokes Adult Designed for adults of all ages and swimming abilities. Competitive Refine your swimming skills for High School, Masters Programs, and Triathlons or to improve your swimming techniques. Level 1-2 Minnows 30 minute lessons $80.00 / 2 week session Introduction to Water & Fundamentals Level 3-4 Dolphins 45 minute lessons $110.00 / 2 week session Stroke Development & Improvement Private and Semi-Private Lessons $30.00 for a half hour for 1 student $40.00 for a half hour for 2 students $45.00 for a half hour for 3 students ***$200.00 for Eight (8) Single Lessons ***(does not apply towards Mike Dellinger) Parent-Child Aquatics Parent-Child lessons are taught in 2 week sessions. These lessons are designed for children between 6 month and 5 years old (swim diapers and plastic pants required). These children will develop swimming readiness by instructors teaching children to have fun in the water. Children learn skills such as water entry, bubble blowing, front kicking, back floating, underwater exploration and more. Parents are required to be in the water with the child during all parent and child lessons. Parent-Child 30 minute lessons $40.00/ 2 week session Stroke Clinic Mondays & Wednesdays 9am - 10am, $55 Stroke clinics can be done in addition to Swim Team Practice, and will continue after the swimteam season concludes. These will start May 30 and run throughout the summer, (every three (3) weeks). Focus will be on the four competitive strokes, dives, turns, and whatever else the swimmers need. Space is limited! To sign up for Swim Team please log on to the website, go to the Swim Page located under the Youth tab and click Swim Team Sign at the top of the page. Cost is $45 per child to join, includes league registration, awards, team party and swimmer gift. Swim Team Suits This year we will be using the same suits as in 2011. Suits, goggles, hoodies and practice suits will be available for purchase in the Carmel Tennis Shop. Deadline for placing suit order is April 20. Swim Suit Sizing/Orders: Suit sizing samples are available during pro shop hours. Deadline for orders is April 20. Swim Evaluation May 10 5:45-6:15pm at Marion Diehl Pool Please note: If your child cannot successfully complete the required 25 yard swim during the evaluation, private lessons are available to bring your skills up to par prior to swim team season. Camp Rules & Guidelines Enrollment Information and Guardian Releases At time of enrollment, a parent/ guardian release must be completed for each child. Drop-off and Pick-up Procedures Camp drop off will begin at 8:45am 9am in front of the pool/tennis entrance. Any child arriving after 9am will be the parent s responsibility to escort to the appropriate camp area. Please notify us at drop-off if your child is going home with someone else, will be picked up by someone other than you, or if there are any other arrangements varying from the routine that we should be made aware of. There will be a sign-in and sign-out sheet for parents/guardians to sign each day. Pick up at the end of the day will always be at the same location as the drop off. Please be prompt in picking up your child. An additional fee of $20 per half hour will be applied for late pickups or failure to sign their camper out with a counselor! Summer Youth Camp Counselors Your children will be supervised by an enthusiastic, funloving group of counselors who are dedicated to providing your child with a memorable camp experience. All of the counselors are certified in American Red Cross First Aid, Lifeguard, and CPR. We are all committed to a fun, active, educational and safe program for all participants. Clothing and Valuables Please send your child to Camp dressed in comfortable clothing and sneakers for active play. Please pack sun screen. Please label ALL your child s belongings. Please do not send your child with any valuables (toys, game boys, ipods, jewelry, etc.). We cannot be held responsible for any lost items, but will be cooperative in recovering these items. Inclement Weather Conditions Camp will be held regardless of weather conditions. Camp location is subject to change and parents will be notified prior to drop-off time. Scheduled agenda will be modified based on location for indoor activities. Accidents and Injuries All counselors are trained in basic CPR and first aid and will administer treatment for minor injuries. Should a child require medical attention, the counselor will contact 911 and parent/guardian. Any minor injury that occurs during the day will be ad dressed at time of pick up with parent/guardian. Safety and Behavior Campers will be expected to follow camp rules and instruction from their counselors at all times. Campers are expected to be po lite and respectful to each other and the camp counselors. Carmel Country Club reserves the right to dismiss any camper whose behavior interferes with the program, endangers him/herself, or others. Our policy follows the Red Book rules and regulations. Miscellaneous It is your responsibility to inform us of any allergies, medical conditions, or specific dietary needs or limitations at time of registra tion. The parent/guardian is responsible for sending any and all items your child may require throughout the camp day. Reservations To make reservations for ALL camps/clinics/lessons/ schools, please SIGN UP ONLINE. Cancellations All cancellations must be made at least 2 weeks in advance of the week that the camper is signed up for or charges will still apply. ALL cancellations MUST be made through the Front Office exclusively by phone at 704-945-9630 or via email at reservations@carmelcountryclub.org Late Pick up Parents who do not pick up their camper within 30 minutes of camp ending or fail to sign their camper out with a counselor will be assessed a $20.00 fee.
