Golf in Jasper National Park The Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge is located in Jasper National Park - a designated UNESCO site. It is here, in the largest Canadian Rocky Mountain National Park, that the Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge dedicates itself to the preservation of its pristine wilderness surroundings. Our golf course is no exception. In 94, it took 00 men and 50 teams of horses the entire summer to clear timber and rocks from the site of the Jasper Park Lodge golf course. Just one year later, renowned Canadian golf course designer, Stanley Thompson, had fashioned what would become an overnight classic. Over 90 years later, golfers from all over the world still gather together in this secluded mountain locale to immerse themselves in the definitive, Rocky Mountain Golf Experience. Complete with the occasional wildlife spectator, guests can experience the lush rolling fairways that Thompson once crafted from the outstanding elements of the National Park landscape. Forever showcased is Thompson s brilliance as it extends beyond the individual holes to encompass the entire nature of the course from wide fairways, to bunkers patterned after the snow formations on surrounding mountains, and holes aligned with dominant peaks. More of an artist than an architect, Stanley Thompson created a course to challenge and delight players of every level. We hope that you enjoy your golf experience here in the luxurious surroundings of the Jasper Park Lodge Golf Club a classic course that combines the best of what golf is all about...a love of history and of the game itself. We are pleased that you have chosen to experience Canada s # Golf Resort.
39 38 368 36 First PAR 4 This hole requires a straight tee shot. Right or left will make it difficult to get to 3 the green in two. Longer hitters may choose a fairway wood off the tee to avoid the large bunker. Approach shot is uphill, use an extra club. 66 35 70 0 36 54 87 4 55-9 - 83 3-34 - 79-70 3 - DEPTH = 38

If laying up, be sure to try and avoid the bunker short of the green. If going for it, balls hit right of the green will kick left.

Longer hitters can carry the trees. 0 Difficult approach to an elevated green. One extra club, 5 avoid grenade bunkers. 60 5 4 3 DEPTH = 7
4 PAR 3 40 0 04 58 Cavell DEPTH = 35 Tough par 3 that usually plays into the wind. It is rare that balls are ever hit over this green. Shots hit slightly left of the green will bounce down off the bank and onto the putting surface.

The approach shot is slightly uphill to a large three-tiered green. DEPTH = 33

A long drive may reach this bunker, although it usually plays into the wind. The second shot plays much longer than it looks. 4 3 DEPTH = 3
78 56 39 6 Colin s Clout 7 PAR 3 A mid-length par 3 in which missing a shot left of the green is trouble. Missing the green slightly short or right leaves a relatively easy chip. The green is very elevated, so choose at least one extra club, maybe more. DEPTH = 9
8 PAR 4 47 409 395 34 Tekarra s Cut 70 0 83 3 36-54 - 50 3-33 4-36 83 0 0 4 4 3 Tee shots should be hit at the right mound as the fairway slopes severely from right to left. This will leave you a long, blind shot into a deep green. The approach shot should favor the right side of the green. DEPTH = 3
9 PAR3 3 4 8 70 Cleopatra DEPTH = 9 Picturesque, but intimidating; both are fitting ways to describe this par 3. The ideal shot for this hole is to land short and towards the right of the green and allow it to roll on. Missing the green right, left or long is sure disaster into deep bunkers.

PAR 4 403 39 377 349 Pyramid 0 35 Pyramid 68 Mountain is the target from the tee. If you have been able to keep your tee shot away from 7 the trees, you should be left with a mid- to short iron into this well-bunkered and undulating green. 84 6 50 85 7 5 4-94 - 80 3-69 4-39 - 83-68 3-57 4-8 3 DEPTH = 3
PAR 3 8 68 57 35 Tête Jaune This par 3 can be deceptively difficult. Club selection is imperative as shots that are hit over the green will be hard to get up and down. DEPTH = 8

Your target approach on this blind approach is the birdhouse behind the green (wait for the bell before hitting onto the green). Putting can be difficult on this three-tiered green. 4 3 DEPTH = 34
36 355 39 3 Lac Beauvert 4 PAR 4 66 3 98 6 54 65 03 0 38 77 Ideal tee shot should be towards the 50 stake or just right of it. This will leave you a middle to short iron at a small elevated green. Missing the green right, left or long will make getting up and down difficult. DEPTH = 3
38 30 0 4 The Bad Baby 5 PAR 3 Termed The Bad Baby for good reason. Ignore the flag and aim for the centre of the green. Anywhere on the green will leave you a relatively short putt. Missing the green to any side will make getting up and down very difficult. DEPTH = 6
The Bay 380 370 358 345 6 PAR 4 64 8-56 - 39 3-8 98 30 58 98 4 3 0 49 Target for the tee shot is the right centre of the fairway. Errant left could end up in the water, and too far right may be blocked by trees. Make sure your approach is long enough as Lac Beauvert guards the left front of the green. DEPTH =
360 349 338 38 The Climber 7 PAR 4 50 - - 37 4 A good tee shot here will travel up the right side of the fairway and bounce toward the centre. Your approach shot must avoid the bunkers right and left of the green. If flag is back, ensure you use more club. 00 3 47 64 8 98 30 DEPTH = 35
Home 463 435 49 34 8 PAR 4-308 - 78 3-63 4-8 An ideal tee shot should be hit over the right side of the bunkers directly in front of you. Keep in mind, there is out-ofbounds on the left. The green is extremely deep, so club selection into the green is very important. 87 80 0 43 5 74 83 05 4 44-84 - 53 3-38 4-56 4 3 DEPTH = 39
