Petite all purpose saddles Everyone knows that for a piece of equipment to work effectively it needs to fit. No matter what your shape and size your saddle needs to fit and work for you and your horse... At we have designed a range of all purpose saddles for the petite adult rider typically 5 3 tall and under. There is no longer a need to struggle with a saddle that is too big, or squeeze ones self into a pony saddle. Sizematters... Finding a suitable saddle to accommodate your size isn t always easy have a specialist range of saddles designed to cater for teenagers and small adult riders. The precedent for the petite range was set with the development of the Tweenager. The Tweenager addresses the fact that typically teenagers have a relatively long hip to knee measurement, yet their body shape is very slim and unlike a full adult. The problem with finding the ideal saddle, therefore, is that the flap size needed to accommodate the longer femur is found on an adult sized saddle; however, such a saddle would have an overly large seat. Following intensive research, design and testing the Tweenager was born as the ultimate compromise: an appropriately sized seat paired with a longer flap. Longer legs are taken care of without the rider s bottom being in a seat that is far too big! The Tweenager offers the confidence that comes with comfort and contact. Leather loses a percentage of its fat content every day of its life, and just as we need food to replace our energy, so leather needs constant replenishment if it is to continue to lead a useful life. (Hartley Edwards, E., 1963 Saddlery) Proper leather care is crucial to maximise the life of a saddle and bridle. Leather is a natural product and if it is allowed to dry out it will eventually peel and crack. Spending a little time cleaning and caring for your tack will pay dividends in the future. Cleaning and Care: CLEAN leather by removing dirt with a damp cloth. TAKE steps to replenish the lost moisture and fat content in your leather. NEVER use hot water and do not soak your tack. ALWAYS allow wet leather to dry naturally. Products: Traditional glycerine based saddle soap can be used to clean your tack. However, apply sparingly and do not use in isolation as saddle soap does not replace any fat content. Hide foods should be used occasionally to replace lost moisture and fat content. Always allow three hours for hide food to soak in. Oil must be used sparingly as over saturation will result in limpness. PESSOA Training Aid When developing the Training Aid, Nelson Pessoa acknowledged that a horse s all important back muscles need to be free when working to achieve that all desired balance and impulsion. The Pessoa Training Aid promotes this philosophy and, therefore, supports the development of back muscles in all horses. Ideally, work with the Pessoa Training Aid should begin when the horse is young. Regular use of the Pessoa Training Aid as part of a horse s training routine will help develop the free forward flowing paces required to succeed in all competitive spheres. The Pessoa Training Aid should be gradually introduced into a work regime, starting in walk, then trot and finally when the horse is settled, canter. The Pessoa Training Aid works at its best when used regularly for short periods of time. The Pessoa Training Aid offers a range of settings. The lower positions work the horse s back muscles in isolation. Once the horse is relaxed and working freely at the lower positions, higher positions can be introduced, which work the back muscles and the muscles at the base of the neck in conjunction. The system of ropes and pulleys used encourages the horse to take weight off the forehand and work through his back, bringing his hindquarters underneath him and consequently finding balance and flexibility. Ballistic Nylon A ballistic nylon is a very tightly woven and therefore strong and durable fabric. Breathable The materials and coatings used in all and Pessoa rugs put the horse's comfort first. The skin and coat are allowed to breathe through a combination of hydrophilic, water loving linings and outer fabrics that allow moisture to pass. The horse stays dry not clammy and chilled! Quick Dry Nylon Quick dry nylon linings actively wick moisture away from the horse and dispel it through breathable outer shells, helping the horse regulate its own body temperature. Wicking Properties To dry your horse and keep it warm or cool dependent on environment our cooler rugs feature wicking fabrics. These hydrophilic, water loving materials draw moisture away from the horses' coat and allow it to evaporate into the atmosphere. 1000 denier Denier A denier figure expresses the thickness of the yard used to make a fabric. Follow these instructions to ensure the best life for your product... 1. Before washing, remove excess dirt and mud with a hose or stiff brush. Fasten all Velcro tabs, otherwise this will reduce their effectiveness. 2. Either hand wash or machine wash your rug/blanket (front-load machines only, please!) on a gentle cycle. 3. Use only cool wash temps. (max 30 C, 85 F) and mild, non biological detergents otherwise you risk damaging the unique waterproof, breathable coating. 4. Line or drip dry (never tumble/machine dry!). Do not iron or dry clean. 5. Store your rug/blanket in a cool, dry area.

This type of panel is very low maintenance. Extra Deep Gusset An extra deep gusset is used to re-balance the seat ensuring that the rider sits in balance and is commonly used to avoid that riding downhill look. Balance Strap Tab A nylon web tab is fitted towards the rear of the tree: this enables the saddler to stitch on a leather girth strap if required. This balance strap will then inhibit the saddle from moving on the horse s back. Standard Knee Roll A standard knee roll offers the rider security in the saddle and assistance with their leg position up against the block making the rider more secure. Extended Girth Webs An accessible length of nylon webbing is left to allow easy repair or replacement of girth straps. Velcro Adjustable Large Jumping Knee Blocks Secured with Velcro these large jumping blocks are easily adjusted to accommodate rider leg length and preferred position. A larger block offers maximum security in the saddle. 72 Point Strap Tab A nylon web tab is fitted to the point of the tree; this enables a saddler to stitch on a leather girth strap if required. This point strap will then inhibit the saddle slipping onto the horses shoulder area. Standard Knee Jumping Blocks A standard jumping knee block supports the knee when the rider has taken up jumping position. The top part of the knee will rest up against the block making the rider more secure. Shallow Gusset A shallow gusset helps prevent that perched on top look, as the rider will sit closer to the horse. Pencil Knee Rolls A pencil knee roll lends support to the rider, but allows more freedom through the leg than a standard knee roll.
