GENERAL CAMP INFORMATION REGISTER EARLY Space is limited to facilitate individual attention. Four-person suites will be assigned on a first-registered, first-accommodated basis. WHAT TO BRING: A certificate of health must be presented by each participant at the camp s registration. A standard form will be sent upon acceptance. This form does not require a physician s examination or signature. Shorts, shirts, sweat pants, volleyball sneakers, socks, knee pads, and swimsuit. Water bottles will be provided. RECREATIONAL FACILITIES INCLUDE: Indoor swimming, indoor and outdoor basketball courts (if available), outdoor volleyball courts, tennis courts, and handball courts. HOUSING Campers will be housed in suite-style residence halls. Amenities include: air conditioning and a bathroom for every two campers. A pillow, one pillowcase, and two sheets will be provided. You will need to bring towels, blankets, and washcloths with you. Coinoperated washers and dryers are available on each floor in the residence hall. HEALTH SERVICES The Etter Health Center at Shippensburg University is available for first aid treatment of minor illnesses and injuries. Hours of operation vary throughout the year and are listed on the health center website www.ship.edu/health_center. If an illness or injury requires additional medical care, with consent of parent or legal guardian of child under the age of 18, arrangements may be made for an appointment with the campus physician during physician hours. If there is a medical emergency the camper will be transported via ambulance to an emergency room. DISABILITY SERVICES Requests for accommodations, auxiliary aids, or services must be made in writing to the Office of Disability Services at least fifteen (15) days before the camp begins. SKILLS CAMP OBJECTIVES 1. All phases of the game of volleyball will be instructed during the camp by a professional staff. 2. Each camper will be evaluated according to physical ability and level of playing experience at the beginning of the camp. Campers will be put into squads of equal level and ability for practices. The final decision for level of play will be determined by the coaches. Some players will have better athletic ability regardless of their volleyball experience and may be moved to a higher court. 3. Players will participate in physical conditioning exercises. TEAM CAMP OBJECTIVES 1. Provide varsity and junior varsity teams the opportunity to train as a team with the assistance of our coaching staff. 2. Individual skills, as well as offensive and defensive systems, will be demonstrated. Teams will participate in practices, competitive drill sessions, and scrimmages. 3. Coaches who will be attending should contact SU camps at sucamps@ship.edu or (717) 477-1256.. APPLICATION INFORMATION Applications will be accepted up to one week prior to the start of camp. Applications submitted after that day will not be accepted. If paying with a credit card, full payment is required. If paying by check or money order, you have the option of paying the entire amount or submitting at least a $75 deposit with the balance due one week prior to start of camp. An administrative fee of $75 will be deducted from all refunds. No refunds will be given after on-campus check-in. The Conference Office reserves the right to cancel any camp which has insufficient enrollment up to two weeks before the opening of camp. A full refund will be given if the camp is canceled. ABOUT THE DIRECTOR LEANNE PISCOTTY, SU Head Women s Volleyball Coach, enters her 15th season as the head volleyball coach at Shippensburg University after having another great season with a record of 21-12. Her 2017 squad qualified for the PSAC conference championship for the eleventh consecutive season and made their third consecutive appearance in the NCAA Atlantic Region tournament for its sixth appearance in school history. This 2017 squad earned several individual accolades including All Conference selections Samantha Webber, Morgan DeFloria, and Emily Hangen, who was also named PSAC Rookie of the Year, the program s 4th. Samantha Webber was also named to the AVCA All Region team and Emily Hangen received honorable mentions. Piscotty s 2015 squad won the PSAC Conference Championship and tied the school record for most wins in a season finishing 30-9. Her squad also qualified for the NCAA tournament earning the third seed which is the highest NCAA seed to date. Coach Piscotty was also named the 2015 AVCA Atlantic region Coach of the Year. Morgan DeFloria was named the PSAC Championship tournament Most Valuable Player which is the program s first. A four-time PSAC Eastern Division Coach of the Year and SU s all-time volleyball coaching wins leader, Piscotty has a career record of 320-196 dating back to the start of the 2004 season. Her squads have reached the PSAC Tournament 12 times in 14 seasons, including 11-in-a-row. Piscotty has compiled 1 All- American, 12 All-Region, and 41 All-PSAC performances from her players. A native of Shippensburg, Piscotty began her coaching career an assistant for two seasons at Bradley University. In her first season with the Braves, Piscotty was a part of a staff that produced the best single-season turnaround in Missouri Valley Conference (MVC) history, improving the team from a 9-19 record in 1998 to a 20-6 record in 1999. Following her graduation from Shippensburg

Area Senior High School, Piscotty played for Penn State from 1989-92 and was selected as an American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) First-Team All-American in 1991 and 1992. A two-time All-Big Ten First-Team selection, Piscotty was named Big Ten Player of the Year as a senior in 1992 and was elected to the Pennsylvania Volleyball Coaches Association (PVCA) Hall of Fame in 1993. She is currently ranked in the Top 10 in five career statistical categories including solo blocks (117), block assists (354) and total blocks (471). Her 1,274 total kills, 1.22 blocks per game and 3.31 kills per game all rank among the Top 15 in Penn State volleyball history. The Lady Lions 44-1 record in 1990 still stands as the school record for wins in a season during which they set the then-ncaa record for consecutive matches won. Following her playing career, Piscotty spent two seasons as a student assistant coach from 1993-94 under her former coach, AVCA Hall of Famer Russ Rose. While there, she assisted in producing Penn State s first two national semifinal appearances in the NCAA Division I Women s Volleyball Championship, including the program s first-ever national championship appearance in 1993. A member of the U.S. Olympic Festival team in 1990 and the 1993 U.S. National Team, Piscotty also played for the United States in the World University Games in 1993 and in the Italian Professional Volleyball League in 1994 and has played in the Chesapeake Bay Region in the Women s United States Volleyball Association (USVA). She was elected into the Shippensburg Area Senior High School Athletic Hall of Fame in 2007. Piscotty earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology from Penn State in 1997. She resides in Carlisle with her husband Dan and their rottweilers, Eva and Lexi. STAFF The staff will include a variety of college and high school coaches as well as collegiate players.
