Section Champion Information Congratulations on winning your District and Sectional Little League Tournaments and welcome to the Pennsylvania State Intermediate Tournament. District 28 and KAU Little League salutes you on your accomplishment and looks forward to hosting you this week. Sunday July 8th: 4:30-5:45 - Managers and Coaches Meeting 6:00-8:00 - Welcome Dinner for Players and Families All scheduled activities on Sunday, July 8th are @ Italian American Club 30 Ways Lane, Kennett Square, PA 19348 There will be a mandatory meeting with tournament officials at 4:30p.m. for all Managers and Coaches to discuss tournament procedures, practice and batting cage scheduling, and to answer any questions. We will do a random drawing to assign initial scheduling at the managers meeting KAU Little League will be hosting a pre-tournament picnic dinner on Sunday, July 8 th at 6:00 p.m. Players/Coaches/Mgrs/Umpires eat for free. Children 5 and under will eat for free. Guests are also invited to attend at a cost of $15.00 for adults and $10.00 for children ages 12 and under. Teams will be recognized at this time. Guest tickets will be available for purchase at the welcome dinner (cash or check please). Please RSVP by Friday July 6th with an estimate of the number of guests for your teams. Dinner is not mandatory but all teams are encouraged to attend to celebrate the Little League spirit and camaraderie and their successful seasons. Tournament games will begin on Monday, July 9 th, 2018 and run through Saturday, July 14 th, 2018. Game Field Location @ Sinton Field 100 Leslie Road Kennett Square, PA Field is located just behind the cemetery on Leslie Road. Please do not park in cemetery or on neighbor's property Tournament Shirts: We will have Tournament Tee Shirts available for purchase at the Welcome Dinner and tournament games. You can also pre-order to guarantee your players get a shirt. Please pre-order by sending an email to renamurphy1@gmail.com with the number of tee shirts needed and the names of the players ordering. No Team will be permitted to compete without first submitting all documentation (properly completed ELECTRONIC affidavit, ELECTRONIC boundary map with each LL player plotted through league finder, residency documentation and any necessary waivers). All participating teams should have all documentation in a binder at the tournament for review and approval by the Tournament Director. Please see your District Administrator immediately if you are unclear on any matters relating to the required documentation. Pennsylvania District 28 believes that all games are to be decided on by the field by the players according to the Little League Official Regulations and Playing Rules. In Particular, rule XIV (a) - Field Decorum will be strictly enforced. The actions of players, managers, coaches, umpires, and league officials must be above reproach, Any player, manager, coach, umpire or league official who is involved in a verbal or physical altercation or an incident of unsportsmanlike conduct at the game site or any other Little League Activity is subject to disciplinary action by the local league board, directors, and LL International. Any unsportsmanlike action by players, managers, coaches or fans from the opposing team to disrupt the play of any player, especially the pitcher, will be dealt with immediately. Tournament Rules The Pennsylvania State Tournament will be a double elimination tournament. Playing rules will be per Little League Intermediate Division Baseball Tournament Rules. All rules will be strictly enforced by the Tournament staff and Umpires. All teams will submit their eligibility affidavits to the Tournament Director prior to the start of each game. These affidavits must be verified (and signed) immediately following each game and will be returned to each team at the end of the tournament. The tournament director and staff reserve the right to change game dates and starting times due to inclement weather. The home team for each game will be determined by the toss of a coin 60 minutes prior to game time. The home team for each game will have 15 minutes of fielding practice 45 minutes prior to the start time of the game. The visiting team for each game will have 15 minutes of fielding 30 minutes prior to the start time of the games. These times may be shortened in order to stay with the scheduled game times. The team Manager is responsible for uniforms and equipment and all Players must be in uniform with the Little League approved patch. Players, Managers, and Coaches that become involved in any misconduct, on or off the field, or at their lodging, may be dismissed from the tournament. The activity and person will be reported to Little League Headquarters Tournament committee, the parent league District Administrator, and the League President. Only Managers, Coaches, and Players listed on the official tournament eligibility affidavit are permitted in the dugout or playing field. Under no circumstances will Coaching (or assistance to Coaches) be permitted from anyone outside of the dugout area during games. Game balls will be supplied by the Host District. First Base Dugout will be assigned to the team that travels the furthest. Equipment Checks; Equipment will be checked by the lead umpire prior to the start of each game. Once Equipment is checked no other equipment will be permitted in the dugout. Any equipment deemed unacceptable will be removed and retained by the host until the conclusion of the game, at which point it will be returned to the team. Both teams will line up as directed by the tournament director when introduced and remain there for the National Anthem and Little League Pledge. Both teams will meet at the home plate area immediately at the conclusion of the game and shake hands. At the conclusion of a team s final game in the tournament both teams will line up for presentation of pins to the losing team At the conclusion of the tournament, the State Winning Team will be awarded the Pennsylvania State Championship Flag. Sinton Field (game field) and Lower Field (practice field) location information Directions from Route 1: Get off on Route 82 headed south towards Kennett Square. Field complex is on the left just after you get off Route 1, behind the cemetery. If you hit the main Kennett Square intersection you have gone too far. Parking: Please do NOT park in the neighbors' yards or in the cemetery. Designated parking and no parking zones will be marked. There is a grass parking lot just before Sinton field. Parking is also allowed along the trees on the left side of Leslie Road, just not in the first section which is the cemetery. There is a gravel lot at the end of Leslie Road as well by the Lower Field.

Turn a sharp right onto Ways Lane - You will see an old sign for the Italian American Club. If you see Walmart/Applebees you have gone too far. Coming South on Route 1 After you pass Applebees/Walmart, take the exit for Kennett Square. Turn left before Waywood Beverages on Ways Lane. If you get to downtown Kennett you have gone too far.
