01-FEB-2008 2007-8012 PLANT-FUME D.D.V.P. SMOKE FUMIGATOR TREATS 300 CUBIC METRES GUARANTEE: Dichlorvos 4.5% HORTICULTURAL FOR USE ON GREENHOUSE ORNAMENTALS ONLY RECOMMENDED TO CONTROL APHIDS, RED SPIDER, THRIPS, MEALY BUGS AND WHITEFLY. NET CONTENTS 150 g REGISTRATION No. 8775 PEST CONTROL PRODUCTS ACT POISON... DANGER... FLAMMABLE READ THE LABEL BEFORE USING PLANT PRODUCTS CO. LTD. 314 ORENDA ROAD BRAMPTON, ONTARIO, L6T 1G1 CAUTION - Place cans at least 3 metres from combustible material such as straw, paper, etc. NOTICE TO USER: This pest control product is to be used only in accordance with the directions on the label. It is an offence under the Pest Control Products Act to use this product in a way that is inconsistent with the directions on the label. The user assumes the risk to persons or property that arises from any such use of this product. DIRECTIONS FOR USE Recommended to control aphids and red spider; thrips, mealy bugs, and whitefly on greenhouse ornamental crops. Repeat fumigation three times, three days apart. Dichlorvos may damage some plants. Consult the enclosed list of susceptible plants before fumigating.

Greenhouse should be tightly closed and temperature maintained at 13-16 o C. Smoke fumigators should be placed in such a manner to prevent the smoke hitting the plants nearby. It is preferable to place the fumigators above the plants to allow the smoke to disperse throughout the greenhouse. For tall plants this can be done by wiring the fumigators to a post or by attaching it firmly to a board placed across the top wires. Puncture the side of the can with two holes at points indicated using a can opener provided. For even distribution, use one can for every 300 cubic metres, spacing the fumigators throughout the house. Light the igniters with a match. Drop the lighted igniter through one of the holes in the side of the can. Ignition will take place immediately, and smoke emission builds up slowly. Where the greenhouse being fumigated requires that fumigators be placed in more than one walk, it is recommended that one person be assigned to light the fumigators in each walk, starting at the end furthest from the exit, so that fumigation may start simultaneously and the persons exit from the house simultaneously. If a circulating fan is present in the greenhouse, it should be turned on for about 15 minutes to ensure uniform coverage. The rapid action of D.D.V.P. permits opening of the ventilators within two hours, while wearing full protective equipment (see PRECAUTIONS). If desired, overnight fumigation may be carried out. A quiet day should be selected for fumigation, as windy weather causes loss of smoke and drift of fumes. Dichlorvos in smoke is extremely hazardous. DO NOT USE PLANTFUME DDVP IN GREENHOUSES WHICH ARE ATTACHED TO OTHER BUILDINGS. Smoke from the greenhouse could leak into the building. VENTILATE GREENHOUSE THOROUGHLY AFTER FUMIGATION, while wearing full protective equipment. PRECAUTIONS: KEEP OUT OF REACH OF CHILDREN. Avoid inhalation of smoke or fumes. Do not exceed recommended dosages. Do not contaminate feed or food stuffs. Wear chemical-resistant suit, chemical-resistant gloves, chemical-resistant footwear and appropriate NIOSH-approved respiratory protection when handling. Vacate premises during application. Post greenhouses under treatment. DO NOT re-enter treated areas within 24 hours, unprotected. If required, individuals may re-enter treated areas within 24 hours, for short-term tasks (e.g., Ventilation) if chemical-resistant suit, chemical-resistant gloves, chemical-resistant footwear and appropriate NIOSH-approved respiratory protection are worn.

FIRST AID: For exposure to fumes, move person to fresh air. If person is not breathing, call 911 or an ambulance, then give artificial respiration, preferably by mouth-to-mouth, if possible. Call a poison control centre or doctor for further treatment advice. For ingestion of product, call a poison control centre or doctor immediately for treatment advice. Have person sip a glass of water if able to swallow. Do not induce vomiting unless told to do so by a poison control centre or doctor. Do not give anything by mouth to an unconscious person. Take container, label or product name and Pest Control Product Registration Number with you when seeking medical attention. TOXICOLOGICAL INFORMATION: The symptoms of poisoning are: pupil of eye shrinks to "pin-point size, a sense of tightness of chest, stomach pains, vomiting, headaches and diarrhea. Atropine is antidotal. Administer to the point of tolerance. If patient becomes comatose, give artificial respiration or oxygen. Never give morphine. DISPOSAL: Follow provincial instructions for any required additional cleaning of the container prior to its disposal. Make the empty container unsuitable for further use. Dispose of the container in accordance with provincial requirements. For information on disposal of unused, unwanted product, contact the manufacturer or the provincial regulatory agency. Contact the manufacturer and the provincial regulatory agency in case of a spill, and for clean-up of spills. 0104 51780
