Guinness Storehouse The Guinness Storehouse explains the history of Beer. The story is told through various interactive exhibition areas including ingredients, brewing, transport, cooperage, advertising and sponsorship. At the base of the atrium lies a copy of the 9,000 year lease signed by Arthur Guinness on the brewery site. In the Perfect Pint bar, visitors may pour their own pint of Guinness. Trinity College Et le Livre De Kells Trinity College was established by Queen Elizabeth I on 1592 and is the oldest university in Ireland. The famous Long Library contains over 200 000 manuscripts! The Book of Kells is the centrepiece of an exhibition which attracts over 500,000 visitors to Trinity College each year. Written around the year 800 AD, the Book of Kells contains a richly decorated copy of the four gospels in a latin text. Christchurch Cathedral Christ Church Cathedral (founded c.1028) is the spiritual heart of the city and one of the top visitor attractions in Dublin. Step inside and you can enjoy the cathedral s beautiful interior and fascinating medieval crypt. The medieval crypt is the largest in Ireland and the earliest surviving structure in the city. The crypt houses priceless silver and Ireland s first copy of Magna Carta. Saint Patrick s Cathedral Saint Patrick s Cathedral has been part of Ireland s history for over 800 years and today is one of the most popular visitor attractions in Dublin. Built in honour of Ireland s patron saint between 1220 and 1260 Saint Patrick s Cathedral offers visitors a rich and compelling cultural experience and is one of the few buildings left from medieval Dublin. It is the National Cathedral of the Church of Ireland and is the largest Cathedral in the country. Jonathan Swift, author of Gulliver s Travels, was Dean of Saint Patrick s Cathedral in the 1700s and he is one of many burials on site. Kilmainham Gaol If you have a desire to understand Irish history especially about resistance to the British rule then a visit to this former prison is an absolute must. This threatening grey building, built between 1792 and 1795, played a role in virtually every act of Ireland's painful path to independence, and even today, despite closing in 1924, it still has the power to chill it gives the visitor a dramatic and realistic insight into what it was like to have been confined in one of these forbidding bastions of punishment and correction between 1796 when it opened and 1924 when it closed. National Gallery of Ireland The National Gallery of Ireland houses the national collection of Irish and European art. 2.500 pieces of art from all European countries are exhibited in the gallery It is located in the centre of Dublin with one entrance on Merrion Square, beside Leinster House, and another on Clare Street. It was founded in 1854 and opened its doors ten years later. The Gallery has an extensive, representative collection of Irish painting and is also notable for its Italian Baroque and Dutch masters painting.,you will meet the works of Poussin, Picasso, Fra Angelico, Mantegna, Vermeer, Velázquez and many others. Freemasons Museum Grand Lodge of Ireland The Grand Lodge of Ireland is the second most senior Grand Lodge in the world and the oldest in continuous existence. The Museum gives an outline of the history of the Masonic Fraternity in Ireland, along with information on some famous personalities in Irish masonic history and displays an exceptionally wide variety of artefacts such as items of regalia and historic documents. Dublin Castle Erected in the early thirteenth century on the site of a Viking settlement, Dublin Castle served for centuries as the headquarters of English, and later British, administration in Ireland. In 1922, following Ireland s independence, Dublin Castle was handed over to the new Irish government. It is now a major government complex used for different venues and also opens for visitors. (Subject to availability) Museum of Modern Arts - Imma The Irish Museum of Modern Art is housed in the Royal Hospital Kilmainham, the finest 17th-century building in Ireland. The Royal Hospital was founded in 1684 by James Butler, Duke of Ormonde and Viceroy to Charles II, as a home for retired soldiers and continued in that use for almost 250 years. Today IMMA is the home of the national collection of modern and contemporary art and takes responsibility for the care and maintenance of this national resource.

Museum of Irish Emigration Epic The Irish Emigration Museum is Dublin s newest museum and tourist attraction. EPIC tells the story of the 70 million worldwide who claim Irish descent. This privately funded museum is both a commemoration and celebration of the story of Irish emigration. Why they emigrated? When they emigrated? Where they emigrated? How Irish influenced and shaped the world? Dublinia Dublinia is a historical recreation (or living history) museum focusing on the Viking and Medieval history of the city. Dublinia is located in a part of Dublin's Christ Church Cathedral, known as the Synod hall. You will visit Viking and Medieval Dublin, see Archaeology and climb the medieval St Michael s Tower. At Dublinia you will see Dublin from a new perspective and will be knowing more about its citizens!

The great Kilkenny Castle was built in 1195 by Norman occupiers. It's also a crafts hub, with shops along its winding lanes selling pottery, paintings and jewelry. Visit Kilkenny Castle. Go back in time to a 12th Century castle, remodeled and restored and set in 1830's splendor and extensive parklands: includes art gallery and playground. The original Anglo-Norman stone castle was built for William Marshal, 4th Earl of Pembroke (c.1146-1219) during the first decade of the thirteenth century. Kilkenny Castle later became the principal Irish residence of the powerful Butler family for almost 600 years. The Butler ownership began when James, 3rd Earl of Ormond, purchased the castle in c.1391, and lasted until 1967 when Arthur, 6th Marquess of Ormonde, presented it to the people of Kilkenny in return for a token payment of GBP 50.00 Continue to visit Smithwicks Brewery. Recognized as one of the Ireland s oldest breweries the modern Smithwicks Brewery Tour (formerly St. Francis Abbey Brewery and Kilkenny Brewery) is a brewery-turned-brewery-tour located on the Medieval Mile in the heart of Kilkenny town. The Smithwick's Experience Kilkenny is the original site where Smithwick's was brewed from the 1700s until 2014. Previously, the site was owned by Franciscan monks who also brewed beer before they were dissolved during the Reformation in 1537. Return to Dublin.
