Dear Participants of Asia Girls Paintball International Championship (AGPIC) 2017, Welcome to the sunny city of Singapore! Singapore was founded as a fishing port of Asia in the 1800s by the British and was part of the British colonization in Asia until after the World War II ended when Singapore was under the Japanese Occupation from 1942-1945. Today, modernized Singapore is also one of the World's most prosperous nations with a highly developed market economy and some said the most expensive city in the World! Modernized by economical strength, paintball as a recreational activity was introduced to Singaporeans in 1999. In 2006, paintball as a sport slowly took shape with community development and sport promotion. After almost 10 years later, Singapore organized its first full fledged international paintball event, Paintball Asia League Series (PALS) Singapore and contributed to the development of paintball sports in South East Asia. In 2017, the Asia paintball community and the AGPIC organizing committee would like to extend a warm welcome and invitation to all international women's teams from all parts of the world! The AGPIC aims to promote paintball sport among female sports enthusiasts and align paintball sport development with women s participation like many mainstream sports around the world. With the organization of AGPIC, we hope to provide a platform to create paintball awareness to the masses through women participation in Asia. With Singapore leading the charge to spearhead this initiative to promote awareness for female paintball, AGPIC 2017 will be the first ever all-female paintball tournament to be held in Asia and we hope that AGPIC will be an annual regional paintball event with different host venues in Asia. While in Singapore, be sure to enjoy the many different types of authentic Asia cuisines as Singaporeans are made famous for our favourite past time, FOOD! Take a tour down the Marina Bay Sands and rejoice modernization of Singapore's history from a small fishing port. Take a stroll down the Little India, Malay Village and Chinatown to appreciate the diversity of a multicultural community. On behalf of the AGPIC team, we welcome all female paintball teams from around the world to join us in this high-spirited paintball event and enjoy the tropical Lion City as part of your travel plans! Best regards, Mr. Ben Seow Tournament Director

OVERSEAS TEAMS AND PLAYERS Overseas teams and players who are participating in AGPIC 2017 will need to contact the organizers at least 4 weeks before event date for the clearance of their paintball markers. Prior approval must be sought from the Singapore Police Force for teams to bring their personal paintball equipment across the immigration and custom checkpoints. Teams without prior approval from the SPF will be lawfully dealt with under the Singapore Firearms Act. All overseas teams will need to fill in a marker application form which will be submitted to Singapore Police Force. All applications are subjected to approval from the Singapore Police Force. There will be no additional cost to the importation and exportation of markers into Singapore as this will sponsored by AGPIC for travelling overseas teams and players. Teams and players are advised to import the same number of paintball markers as per their registered team roster with up to 2 additional backup markers. E.g. If an overseas team registers 8 players in its team roster, they will be eligible to import a total of 10 (8 players + 2 backup) paintball markers for the AGPIC. We
strongly do not recommend for overseas teams to assist Singapore-based players to import/export their markers for the event to allow the AGPIC to uphold a fair system for Singapore-based participants. Assisting local teams with importation can lead to administrative complications that might arise from accountability issues at the Immigration and Customs Department and the Singapore Police Force. Please submit to your marker details to info@singaporepaintballseries.com at least 4 weeks before the event. We will not be able to entertain any late request due to the minimum application processing duration by the Singapore Police Force. ELIGIBILITY All participants MUST be 14 years old and above. Participants who are between 14 18 years old would require parental consent before participation. This tournament is open to all local and overseas players except for professional players. Semi-professional players will be allowed with reference to SPL Division in the Millennium Series and Semi Pro in the NXL events. AGPIC reserves the rights to determine a player s status in accordance to the player s experience and participation in local and overseas events based on their APPA status and through other resources such as references to other leagues. Teams which are unsure about your players eligibility can email AGPIC at info@singaporepaintballeseries.com for verification and confirmation. AGPIC reserves the right to reject any player s participation if she is not rightfully registered into her respective playing level. To facilitate this process, AGPIC advises all teams to submit and confirm their team roster early to avoid any potential complication of player status. EQUIPMENT Players will need to have their personal paintball equipment such as paintball mask, loaders, tanks, barrel socks, pods, harness/pack, etc. AGPIC will not be responsible for any loss or damage of the equipment during the event. RULES AND REGULATIONS AGPIC 2017 will adopt the same set of rules and regulations used in the Paintball Asia League Series (PALS) P7 game.
