Important Event Information Unloading/Loading Equipment, Props and Floors: Equipment may be unloaded and loaded next to the school along 1st Avenue, accessible by turning onto campus from Stouts Lane. Once equipment is unloaded, trucks will be directed to the adjacent lot to park. Following a unit s performance, it is requested that ALL equipment, props, and floors be removed from the building. Please see maps on Pages 6 and 7 for details. Equipment Truck Parking: Equipment trucks will be directed to park in the lot on the south side of the school, which runs parallel to Ridge Road. NO PERSONAL VEHICLES ARE PERMITTED TO PARK IN THIS LOT. Personal vehicles will be directed to the spectator lot. Please see maps on Pages 6 and 7 for details. Bus Parking: Performers and staff may be dropped off in the unloading/loading area along 1st Avenue, accessible by turning onto campus from Stouts Lane. Buses will then be directed to park in the lot on the northeast side of the school, which runs parallel to Stouts Lane. NO PERSONAL VEHICLES ARE PERMITTED TO PARK IN THIS LOT. Personal vehicles will be directed to the spectator lot. Please see map on Page 6 for details. Spectator Parking: All spectator and personal vehicles will be directed to park in the lot on the west side of the school, which runs parallel to Waverly Place, accessible by turning onto campus from Ridge Road. REGISTRATION AND ADMISSION INFORMATION Registration/Credentials: Registration will be located just inside the Ensemble Entrance of South Brunswick High School on the south side of the building, adjacent to the unloading/loading zone. n If a unit selected REQUIRED tickets as part of its registration for the USBands Indoor Championships, the unit s responsibility is 20 tickets at $20 per ticket in addition to the registration fee. n If a unit selected OPTIONAL tickets as part of its registration for the USBands Indoor Championship, the unit s responsibility is $17 per ticket in addition to the registration fee. All unsold tickets MUST be returned at check-in. Please submit payment for all membership fees, registration fees, and sold tickets at check-in, and turn in any unsold tickets. Ensembles will be billed for tickets not returned on the date of the event and invoices will be distributed electronically. Upon checking in, all ensembles will be issued ten (10) wristbands for staff and hand stamps for all performing members. PLEASE NOTE: If more than 10 wristbands are needed, they will be available for purchase at registration. ALL personnel directors, instructors, support staff, chaperones, performing members, etc. will need to have a wristband or a hand stamp to enter the performance gym. Spectator Tickets/Wristbands: Tickets for spectators are $20 and will be available at the Spectator Entrance located on the west side of the school. Once a ticket is purchased, a wristband will be issued for access to the performance gym.

Important Event Information (Continued) Warm-Up Areas: Designated indoor warm-up areas are provided for color guard and percussion. If warming up indoors, ensembles must use the designated warm- up areas. Warm- ups are permitted outdoors on the south and east sides of the building, but NOT in any of the parking lots surrounding the school. Color guard units will have three warm-up stations, with approximately 10 minutes in each station stretching, body, and equipment. There will be three percussion warm-up areas A, B, and C. Each percussion unit will have approximately 30 minutes in one assigned area for warm-ups. These spaces are assigned according to the performance order. Floor/Prop Storage: There is a designated hallway inside the school for units to store floor covers and props PRIOR to the performance only. Please keep all floor covers and props to one side of the hallway to allow adequate flow of foot traffic. All floors and props except those that share floors and props with others must exit the building following a unit s performance. Sound Check: Guard directors and staff members may do sound checks in the performance gym one hour prior to the start of the event and during breaks at the discretion of the Event Coordinator. Please have multiple sources and/or copies of your music available. Please plan accordingly. Electricity: Electrical connections for both color guard and percussion units will be available in two locations: on the front of the floor and at the back of the floor, each on the vertical timeline Performance Area: The floor of South Brunswick High School gymnasium will be covered with an all-black protective covering. The performance area will be approximately 100 feet by 65 feet and marked with a solid front sideline, as well as a dotted line for the sides and back. The performance area will be split with a VERTICAL timing line, which will be marked by 18-inch hashes on the front and back sidelines. Please see diagram on Page 9 for details. Staff will have access to a designated seating area to view their unit s performance. Floor Refolding: Post-performance floor folding is NOT permitted in the performance gym. Color guard units have a designated area to re -fold floors, which is located near the ensemble entrance to the school. Percussion units will have to re-fold their floors outside, weather permitting. Spectator/Member and Staff Re-Entry: Performers, staff, and spectators will be able to re- enter the building and/or performance gym through the doors on the west side of the building. All those seeking entry to the performance gym must have the appropriate wristband (staff/spectators) or handstamp (performers). Restrooms/Changing Areas: Restrooms are located throughout the building. Please do not use the restrooms adjacent to the spectator entrance as changing areas. All other restrooms may be used as changing areas. Personal Storage: Each school/unit will have an area inside the auditorium to use for storage of personal belongings. THIS AREA IS NOT A CHANGING AREA. Also, please DO NOT use hair spray or apply make-up/glitter in the auditorium. Also, once a performance is completed, it is requested that all personal items be removed from the auditorium and returned to the buses.

Important Event Information (Continued) Unit Entrance: To get to the Unit Entrance of the performance gym, units will need to use the staging hallway located on the west side of the gym. This hallway will lead to the equipment warm up (color guard)/staging gym (percussion). All staff and parent helpers MUST have a wristband to access this area of the school. Awards/Retreat: Awards ceremonies will be a FULL RETREAT preceded by the National Anthem. All members of performing ensembles will report to the equipment warm-up (color guard)/staging gym (percussion) to line up for awards. Once all ensembles enter the performance floor for retreat, there will be a few announcements and acknowledgments, which will be followed by the scores. Recaps WILL NOT be distributed prior to this time. Video Taping: No audio/video recording will be permitted inside the performance gymnasium. Photography: For the safety of the performers, flash photography is prohibited during a unit s performance. Still photography is permitted as long as the flash is turned off. Please do not disrupt the performance by using this feature. Souvenirs: Event Wear, Programs, Air Grams, will be available for purchase in the lobby outside of the spectator entrance to the performance gym. Concessions: South Brunswick High School will provide all concessions for this event. Absolutely NO outside food is permitted inside South Brunswick High School due to allergy protocol within the district. All outside food must remain outside of the building in the parking lots, on the buses, etc.

Directions South Brunswick High School 750 Ridge Road Monmouth Junction, N.J. 08852 Route 1 North To Stouts Lane/Promenade Blvd. - make a right onto Route 522 (Exxon station at the light); remain in the right lane. Make an immediate right onto Stouts Lane and follow the road. South Brunswick High School is at the end of the road, just before the traffic light. Route 1 South To Promenade Blvd. - go through that light and take the immediate jug handle for Route 522 - cross over Route 1 and remain in the right lane. Make an immediate right at the first light onto Stouts Lane and follow the road. South Brunswick High School is at the end of the road, just before the traffic light. SPECTATORS: Please enter campus by turning onto Waverly Place from Ridge Road. BUSES AND TRUCKS: Please enter campus by turning onto 1st Avenue from Stouts Lane.

Parking **PLEASE FOLLOW APPROPRIATE SIGNS FOR PARKING AREAS** Upon arriving at South Brunswick High School: -- BUSES/TRUCKS: Turn onto 1st Avenue from Stouts Lane to access the Unloading/Loading Zone. Once unloaded, buses will exit the campus by turning left onto Ridge Road, left onto Stouts Lane, and left into the Bus Parking area (notated by yellow arrows below). Once unloaded, trucks will make an immediate left into the Truck Parking area (notated in blue). Buses may return to the Unloading/Loading Zone to pick up the student performers after awards. -- SPECTATORS/PERSONAL VEHICLES: All spectators and personal vehicles must enter campus by turning onto Waverly Place from Ridge Road.
