27/07/2016 Cameron Clark AUS Team Rio 2016 O cial Home of the 2016 Australian Olympic Team Cameron Clark Athlete Biography Cameron Clark made his Australian debut in 2012 in Wellington and has now played at 30 World Series competitions. Since his rst match in the green and gold he has established himself as a reliable option in the squad s backline and is often utilised as a goal kicker. The Auckland-born back represented Australia in the national schoolboys side in 2011, along with Rio 2016 teammate Allan Fa'alava'au. The same year he was a member of the Australian Commonwealth Youth Games Team that won bronze in the Isle of Man. In 2014, he won bronze at the Glasgow Commonwealth Games to cap o a remarkable 2013-14 Sevens World Series where Clark was named in the Men's Sevens Team of the Year. He passed the 500-point mark during the 2014-15 season and now has 632 World Series points to his name. The son of rugby commentator Greg Clark, he rst touched a rugby ball as an eight-year-old when he led the NSW Waratahs out at the Sydney Football Stadium in 2001 for a clash against the Queensland Reds. 27/07/2016 Thomas Cusack AUS Team Rio 2016 O cial Home of the 2016 Australian Olympic Team Thomas Cusack Athlete Biography An injury in early 2016 forced Thomas Cusack to undergo wrist surgery and miss a large part of the 2015/16 World Series. He proved his tness at a training camp in Darwin in June to ensure he would get to wear the green and gold at the Olympic Games. Born in the ACT, Cusack is not a stranger to the international stage, having previously represented Australia at Schoolboys (2010-11) and Under 20s level (2012) and is a former member of the ARU National Gold Squad. The Canberran made his Australian sevens debut at the Wellington Sevens Tournament in 2013. He was already familiar with several teammates, having?played alongside Sean McMahon, Allan Fa'alava'au, Lewis Holland and Con Foley at the Junior World Championships the previous year. Cusack helped Australia win bronze at the 2014 Commonwealth Games in Glasgow. A graduate of Marist College Canberra, Cusack's skills span further than the Rugby pitch and classroom - he has also been playing piano since he was 12 years old. Born in Auckland, the utility moved to Australia as a 14-year-old. He was a member of the Australian Schoolboys side in 2011 alongside Cameron Clark, Sean McMahon and Will Miller. He made his debut for the Australian Sevens side after being called up as injury cover for the Las Vegas Sevens tournament in 2012. 27/07/2016 Con Foley AUS Team Rio 2016 O cial Home of the 2016 Australian Olympic Team Con Foley Athlete Biography Long known as one of the side s most consistent performers, forward Con Foley is the second most experienced player on the Australian Team heading to Rio behind only captain Ed Jenkins. Foley rst started playing rugby in the under-7s at Souths Rugby Union in Queensland. He played rugby throughout school and continued while at the University of Queensland before he was recognised as a potential star of the sevens game. After travelling with the national development side, Foley made his Australian debut at the 2011 Gold Coast Sevens event. He would go onto tour South Africa for the World Junior Championships in the fteen-man format in 2012. Foley was a regular in the starting for the Australian team that won Commonwealth Games bronze in 2014 in Glasgow. 27/07/2016 Lewis Holland AUS Team Rio 2016 O 䘀朄 cial Home of the 2016 Australian Olympic Team Lewis Holland Athlete Biography Lewis Holland was an impressive rugby player in high school, representing both his state and country in 2010 as a member of the Australian Schoolboys team. The 23-year-old joined the Brumbies Academy when he graduated school, playing 15s before he turned his attention to sevens at the age of 18. The ball-player made his debut with the Australian Men s Rugby Sevens team in 2011. The same year he represented Australia at the Commonwealth Youth Games on the Isle of Man, coming home with the bronze medal. Born in Braidwood, Holland was named in the Under 20s squad that competed in the Junior World Championships in South Africa in 2012. He competed in almost every major tournament in the 2012-13 Sevens World Series and made his World Cup debut in Moscow, 2013. A hamstring injury saw Holland miss out on the 2014 Commonwealth Games, yet a strong 2015-16 season including a starring role in the inaugural Sydney 7s - secured Holland s spot in the 䘀쐂 nal squad for Rio. Holland will make his Olympic debut in Rio alongside partner Charlotte Caslick, who is also contending her maiden Games with the Australian Women s Rugby Sevens Team. 27/07/2016 Henry Hutchison AUS Team Rio 2016 O cial Home of the 2016 Australian Olympic Team Henry Hutchison Athlete Biography The youngest member of the Australian men s team, Henry Hutchison burst onto the scene in late 2015 and will now get the chance to take it to the world s best in Rio. Having played both at Australian Schoolboys and Australian U20s level Hutchison was set to compete for Australia at the Commonwealth Youth Games but was held back to play in a Rio quali er warm-up series against New Zealand with the senior team. After impressing against the Kiwis he earned a call up to the team for Oceania Quali cation Tournament in Auckland in November 2015. He was one of the green and gold s best at the competition as Australia defeated Tonga in the nal to book their spot at the Rio 2016 Games. Soon after he made his World Series debut in Cape Town, South Africa where he scored a try in each of his opening three matches as Australia went on to nish 7th. He had his most proli c tournament in Sydney and would go on and score 27 tries across the 2015/16 World Series season. He made his debut in 2008 and has represented his nation in two Rugby Sevens World Cups. The skipper was part of the squad that won the 2010 London Sevens and 2012 Japan Sevens, however missed out on most of the 2012-13 World Series after picking up a hamstring injury in the opening round. He won silver at the 2010 Commonwealth Games in Delhi and captained Australia to the bronze medal at the 2014 Commonwealth Games in Glasgow. He will lead the Australian Men s Rugby Sevens in Rio when the sport makes its Olympic debut. The Sydney-born forward scored 13 tries during the 2015-16 Sevens World Series, playing a total of 29 games. He is the second highest Australian World Series try-scorer (104) of all time, just three short of Peter Miller s record of 107. Born in Sunnybank, Queensland, Malouf was originally a ଙanker in the 15-man game with the University of Queensland before he turned his focus to sevens. 27/07/2016 Patrick McCutcheon AUS Team Rio 2016 O cial Home of the 2016 Australian Olympic Team Patrick McCutcheon Athlete Biography Pat McCutcheon was combining Sevens duties with 15s when it was announced Rugby Sevens would make its Olympic debut at Rio 2016. He rejoined the sevens program on a full-time basis in August 2015 and one year later will compete at his maiden Games. Born in Narromine NSW, McCutcheon grew up on a farm and played rugby and soccer as a child. He turned his focus to sevens during his time at boarding school in Sydney and represented his nation in the Australia Under 19s and Australian Schoolboys team before he made his Sevens World Series debut in 2007. McCutcheon captained Australia to a silver medal at the 2010 Commonwealth Games alongside current skipper Ed Jenkins. After Delhi, he turned his attention back to the 15s game. The loose forward played 37 times for the New South Wales Waratahs in Super Rugby after making his debut in 2010. A highlight was taking out the 2014 Super Rugby title. McCutcheon was the club captain before returning to sevens for the 2015-16 World Series. The 29-year-old was the joint winner of the 2014 RUPA Community Service Award alongside Henry Speight and is an ambassador of the Raise Foundation. After a three-month stint playing in the NRL with the West Tigers in early 2016, Parahi returned to the Australian sevens program in April and eventually secured his position in the Rio Team. He played for Super Rugby side the Western Force in 2008 before lining up for the ACT Brumbies in 2009-10. He began to split his time between the 䵉fteen-man and sevens formats and made his national sevens team debut in 2010 before winning silver with the team at the Delhi Commonwealth Games later that year.
