Letter from Event Director 2 Annual Victorville Road Race April 7, 8, & 9 2017 Dear Race Participants I would like to personally thank you all for participation in this year s 2 annual Victorville Road Race. This event would not take place without the support of The City of Victorville our sponsors, USA Cycling Officials and SCNCA. This event is in its infancy stage and has lots of room to grow and with the support of all participants and these governed body we would not be able to host this great event. I would like for all participants to please read through the rules and please follow all of them so we can continue working with the City of Victorville. Thanks again for understanding. We want to thank our sponsors and the city to allow us to maintain our price list and primes for this year s event. We ask that you respect all business and property that is allowing us to park in their area and all street. Please park in all designated areas unless approved by Race Director. Please note all parking is at your own risk. Please make sure all cars are locked and secured to prevent any theft or damage. RV parking will be available for all dates. Please see Race Director. Portable toilets will be available for all 3 days, please use them. Anyone caught using Mother Nature will be DISQUALIFIED please use PORTABLE TOILETS this is you re only WARNING. General Information Bib Numbers Each race packet will have 2 numbers and 1 for your bike. Numbers will not be folded, Trimmed or crinkled. Both numbers must be worn during the Road Race and Crit as seen below. Same number will be used for all Days. Replacement number will be available at an extra cost $25.00 Time Trial Placement Road Race & Crit PRIZES All prizes for individual stages will be awarded after results have been posted and are final. GC prizes will be awarded on Sunday after CRIT. Failure to attend award ceremony may result in forfeit of all prizes. All award ceremony will take place throughout the day. We will be announcing after your race. Any price not claimed after 5pm on Sunday will be forfeited. PRIZE LIST may be alter based on field registration: 100%-100%; 75%-75%; etc. GC Tie Breaker: The default method of tie breaker is in the finish order in the most recent stag. 3H4 (g) (ii) USAC Rules Apply Top 3 finishers of 2 and 3 must report to the podium immediately for unofficial award ceremony. All protest must be done day of your event before official results are posted if you leave and come back after results are posted you will not be able to change it is your responsibility to see results and protest at that time. RR / RULES AND COURSE: USAC category race and all rules apply. Course is 6.2 miles, loop course a little technical with good asphalt. Course open to business traffic only. All race rules apply. Criterium / RULES AND COURSE: USAC race and all rules apply. Course is 1.15 miles, 5 corners flat fast with good asphalt. All podiums will be 15 minutes after your race. Parking is on the Westside of Phantom. Porta potties will be available for your use. Use them and DO NOT just go off into the bushes. WHEN YOU ARE CAUGHT, YOU RISK BEING DISQUALIFIED. THIS IS YOUR ONLY WARNING. NUMBERS: BIB NUMBERS ARE NECESSARY FOR THIS STAGE. Right side JUNIOR ROLLOUT: All junior riders must complete a rollout prior to the start. Rollout will be located between the staging tent and the start tent. ONCE YOU HAVE COMPLETED YOUR ROLLOUT YOU MUST STAY IN LINE AT THE START TENT. If you get out of line, you will have to do another rollout. Please arrive at the start with enough time to complete your rollout. No post-tt rollout is needed. NO SUPPORT VEHICLES may be on the course. Page 9

Wheels need to be in the vehicles 30 min prior to the scheduled start time. Once the wheel vehicles are deemed full by the Wheel Support Coordinator, NO MORE WHEELS ARE ALLOWED. Neutral support for Pro Men and Women There is no race caravan for this race. Majestic Cycling is not responsible for lost or damaged wheels. Fixed Gear Rules Track bikes are required Drop bars, with bar tape, plugged ends and without brake levers are required for Road Race & Crit A lock-ring securing the cog is required All components of the bike must be in good condition Excessively large gear ratios are prohibited (determined on a case-by-case basis at the race director s discretion) Lights and reflectors are prohibited Time trial equipment is prohibited for Road Race and Crit. (Aero spokes, disc wheel, Spinergy, tri-spokes, rims deeper than 90mm, etc) -Time trial equipment is allowed during the Time trial only. Fixed-gear conversions are prohibited Tubular tires must be installed properly with glue in good condition. Tires must not be glued on race day.
