The deadline for team registration is: August 27th 2018 23:59, CET All athletes registered in all three of the boulder, lead and speed disciplines will automatically be entered for the combined discipline. National Federations should only register in the combined discipline (a) pre-qualified athletes in that discipline (e.g. eligible YWCH Combined Champions) and (b) any one athlete being proposed under the extraquota allocation approved by the EB for the Combined discipline. Important: Please send to: j.pinggera@austriaclimbing.com the following information when registering: A list of your Team Officials (manager, coaches, medical staff) and the mobile phone numbers of the team manager together with the arrival information of the team. Registration confirmation on site: The presence of all team officials and competitors must be confirmed to the organizer in advance of the disciplines for which they have been registered. All team registrations and all technical meetings will take place at the registration center which is located

Unregistered persons (e.g. parents) may not confirm attendance on behalf of teams / competitors. Evidence of identity must be provided for all team officials and competitors. Registered competitors not confirmed as present during the registration time on site will be deleted from the Official Starting List. Accreditations of registered team officials not confirmed as present will be declined. Nearby Climbing Facilities: If you wish to do your training during the time of the World Championships you can use the following facilities in or near Innsbruck. : (Lead, Speed, Boulder) The WCH venue can also be used for training at all times. Please note that the space opened for climbing will be limited from August 20 in. From this day on until the end of the World Championships the outdoor areas of the venue will not be opened to public. Furthermore, during this time no reservations for parts of the training facilities will be accepted. Please understand that also competitors and team officials need to pay the regular entrance fee of the climbing gym when it is used for training.

Please find further information about the framework program here: https:///en/entertainment.html Combined Discipline: This format for finals will be held according to the Olympic-Format, which will also be performed at the Buenos Aires Youth Olympic Games 2018 and the Tokyo Olympic Games 2020.

All athletes taking part in the Combined Competition need to compete in every discipline of the WCH. The six best male and the six best female competitors in the overall ranking for Lead, Speed and Bouldering will then move on to the Combined Finals on Sunday, September 16th. For this ranking the athlete s results in each discipline will be multiplied with each other and the six athletes with the lowest score qualify for finals. The sequence of disciplines in the final round will be 1 Speed, 2 Boulder, 3 Lead. Combined Extra-Quota: In order to offer the possibility to preserve the places for the specialists of the three disciplines, the IFSC has decided to allocate to each National Federation a special extraquota of 1 athlete for gender competing in the combined. This means that as for IFSC rules, the WCH usual quota is 5 athletes per gender/category, plus 1 additional quota for athletes registered for the combined. These combined athletes will be added to the startlist of each discipline (after confirmation onsite at the registration center)and they will compete in all the three disciplines. Athletes registered under regular quota on the 3 disciplines, they will be considered as competing for the combined as well, after confirmation of their registration onsite.
