The country s best 3-year-olds meet each year in the Grade 1, $1.5 million Belmont Stakes, the centerpiece of the Belmont Stakes Racing Festival set for June 7-9. The 1 ½-mile Test of the Champion is one of the world s most prestigious races regardless of circumstances. When a Kentucky Derby and Preakness winner lines up in pursuit of a Triple Crown racing s most elusive prize the Belmont Stakes becomes an event unparalleled in sports. Fans that are lucky enough to join us this year will witness history, as 2018 will mark the 150th running of the Belmont Stakes. By the time the 150th champion is crowned on Saturday, June 9, guests will have been treated to the very best in thoroughbred racing alongside world-class entertainment amid the premium hospitality options described in the pages ahead. Since 1919, when Sir Barton became the first Triple Crown winner, 35 horses have been eligible to enter their names into racing lore, with only a dozen succeeding. The prestigious list includes some of the best horses ever to grace a racetrack, including the legendary Secretariat, Seattle Slew, Citation, Whirlaway and Gallant Fox. Most recently, American Pharoah joined racing immortality when he captured the Triple Crown in 2015. Even the near-misses of prominent horses such as California Chrome, Real Quiet, Silver Charm and Smarty Jones were thrilling in their own right, with the buildup beginning the instant they crossed the finish line of the Preakness until the moment they stepped onto Belmont s Big Sandy oval. For the fourth consecutive year, the Belmont Stakes Racing Festival will offer fans world-class racing and premium hospitality. Over three days, fans will be treated to 18 total stakes worth $9.4 million, including six Grade 1s that feature the Grade 1, $1.2 million Metropolitan and the Grade 1, $1 million Woodford Reserve Manhattan on the Belmont Stakes Day card. Join us at storied Belmont Park, where spectacular racing awaits, and take in the glamour and excitement of past eras while once again being part of racing history. *All races are subject to change
