ABOUT THE SUPPORTED ORGANIZATIONS Founded in 2002, the Joe Torre Safe At Home Foundation helps children impacted by violence and abuse in their homes, schools, and communities. By providing resources and support, our young people are able to cope with trauma and find hope and healing for their futures. The organization was founded by Joe and Ali Torre in response to Joe s experience witnessing domestic violence as a child. Safe At Home now operates at 16 school locations across the country and has helped more than 72,000 children. For additional information, visit www.joetorre.org. Founded in 1980, the Special Operations Warrior Foundation is committed to providing surviving children of fallen Army, Navy, Air Force and Marine Corps special operations personnel with a college education. The Warrior Foundation provides college scholarship grants, not loans, to children of special operations personnel killed in combat or training. Scholarship grants are provided for tuition, books, fees, and room and board. Currently, there are more than 800 children in the Warrior Foundation s program. The Foundation also provides immediate financial assistance to the families of severely wounded special operations personnel so they can be bedside during their loved one s recovery.
