1. GENERAL NRW Trophy for Single and Pair Skating 2016 The NRW Trophy 2016 will be conducted in accordance with the ISU Constitution and General Regulations 2016, the ISU Special Regulations and Technical Rules Single & Pair Skating, 2016, and the relevant ISU Communications. (Novice Categories will be held in accordance with ISU Communciation 2024 and subsequent updates.) Participation is open to all Competitors who belong to an ISU Member, and qualify with regards to eligibility according to Rule 102, provided their age fall within the limits specified in Rule 108, paragraph 3 a) for Seniors and paragraph 3 b) for Juniors and paragraph 3. new c) for Novice. Furthermore all participants must meet the participation, citizenship and residency requirements of Rule 109, paragraphs 1 through 5 and ISU Communication 1420 or any update of this Communication. In accordance with Rule 109 of the ISU Genereal Regulations and ISU Communication 1420 all skaters who do not have the nationality of the Member by which they have been entered or who, although having such nationality, have in the past represented another Member, must produce an ISU Clearance Certificate. Passports of all skaters, as well as the ISU Clearance Certificate, if applicable, must be presented at the accreditation of the event for verification. All competitors must be entered through their respective Member Federation. The NRW Trophy for Single and Pair Skating 2016 will be organized by the Eissport- Verband Nordrhein-Westfalen e.v. and is sanctioned by the Deutsche Eislauf-Union e.v. 2. In accordance with the ISU Technical Rules Single and Pair Skating 2016, Rule 612 and the respective ISU Communication. Special attention should be paid to the well-balanced-program and the element values. Men: 4 min. 30 sec. +/-10 sec. Ladies: 4 min. +/- 10 sec. Vocal music is permitted. SENIOR Pairs In accordance with the ISU Technical Rules Single and Pair Skating 2016, Rule 620, paragraph 1 and 2, and the relevant ISU Communications. 2 min. 40 sec. +/- 10 sec. Special attention should be paid to the well-balanced program and the element values. 4 min. 30 sec. +/-10 sec. Factors: in accordance with ISU Technical Rules Single and Pair Skating 2016, Rule 353, paragraph 1, m) the multiplying factors for the Program Components are: Short Program 0,8 Free Skating 1,6 Vocal music is permitted. JUNIOR Men and Ladies The required elements to be skated are those listed in ISU Technical Rules Single & Pair Skating 2016 Rule 611, paragraph 1 and 3, group for 2016/17. 2 min. 40 sec. +/-10 sec. In accordance with ISU Technical Rules Single & Pair Skating 2016, Rule 612 and the respective ISU Communication. Special attention should be paid to the well balanced program and the element value. JUNIOR Pairs Men: 4 min, +/- 10 sec Ladies: 3 min, 30 sec, +/- 10 sec Short Program The required elements to be skated are those listed in ISU Technical Rules Single & Pair Skating 2016, Rule 620, paragraph 1 and 3. group for 2016/17. 2 min. 40 sec. +/-10 sec. Free Skating In accordance with ISU Technical Rules Single & Pair Skating 2016, Rule 621 and the respective ISU Communication. Special attention should be paid to the well balanced program and the element value. 4 min, +/-10 sec Vocal music is allowed for all Novice Devisions Single & Pair Skating ADVANCED NOVICE Girls and Boys The required elements to be skated are those listed in the ISU Communication No. 2024 and subsequent updates. 2 min, 20 sec. +/-10 sec Page 3

Special attention should be paid to the contents of a well balanced program listed in ISU Communication No. 1947 and subsequent updates. 3:00 min, +/. 10 sec for girls 3:30 min, +/- 10 sec for boys ADVANCED NOVICE Pairs The required elements to be skated are those listed in the ISU Communication No. 2024 and subsequent updates. 2 min, 20 sec +/-10 sec Special attention should be paid to the contents of a well balanced program listed in ISU Communication No. 1947 and subsequent updates. 3 min. 30 sec., +/. 10 sec BASIC NOVICE A Girls and Boys Free Skating only: Special attention should be paid to the contents of a well balanced program listed in ISU Communication No. 2024 and subsequent updates. BASIC NOVICE B Girls and Boys 2 min., 30 sec. +/. 10 sec for boys and girls Free Skating only: Special attention should be paid to the contents of a well balanced program listed in ISU Communication No. 2024and subsequent updates. 3 min, +/. 10 sec for boys and girls BASIC NOVICE Pairs Free Skating only: Special attention should be paid to the contents of a well balanced program listed in ISU Communication No. 2024 and subsequent updates. 3:00 min, +/. 10 sec 3. ENTRIES: Each ISU Member has the right to nominate 3 competitors for each single event and 3 pairs for each pair event in the NRW-Trophy 2016. The official entry forms must be used. The organizer reserves the right to enter more competitors in each category. Passports of the skaters, as well as ISU Clearance Certificate, if applicable, must be presented at the accreditation. The entries by name should reach the organizer not later than November 1 st, 2016. Entries by fax or E-Mail are appreciated. Entries must be accompanied by the official "ISU Declaration Form as per Rule 131, In case of competitors who are not full of age (under 18), such Declaration must be co-signed by at least one of the parents or other guardian at law. Each Entry Form and Declaration Form must be signed by an authorized ISU Member Representative such as President, General Secretary, Executive Director, CEO (Rule 104, paragraph 4). For any cancellation after November 11 th, 2016 the team leader of the federation will be asked to pay the entry fee regardless of the reason for cancellation. In case there is no participating team left a respective invoice will be sent to the Member Federation. World Standing Points In case the requirements as per ISU Communication 1629 are fulfilled, World Standing points will be awarded in the Senior Categories Men, Ladies and Pairs. 4. ENTRIES OF JUDGES Each participating ISU Member is requested to nominate one Judge and one substitute Judge with at least the qualification International Judge or International Referee. If an ISU Member has entries in Men and Ladies events or in a Single event and a Pair event, the Member has the right to enter a second Judge. Should there be more judges entered than needed in competition, the organizer reserves the right to conduct a pre-draw of the panels of Judges. Judges not drawn will be informed in time before the competition. 5. PRACTICE Official practice for competitors starts as follows; November 30 th, 2016 Novice December 1 st, 2016 Junior December 2 nd, 2016 Senior The detailed schedule will be issued at the time of registration. 6. MUSIC / PLANNED PROGRAM All competitors shall furnish competition music of excellent quality on CD format, in accordance with Rules 343, paragraph 1. A list of titles, composers and orchestras of the music to be used for Short Program and Free Skating Program for Single and Pair Skating must be listed for each competitor on the official Music Information Form and attached to the official Entry Form for competitors. In accordance with Rule 343, paragraph 1, all discs must show the competition event, competitor s name, the nation and the exact running time of the music (not skating time), including any starting signal and must be submitted at the time of registration. Each program (short program, free programm) must be recorded on a separate disc. In addition each skater/pair must provide a back-up drive for each program. If music information is not complete and discs not provided, accreditation will not be given. Together with the entry forms, the Program Content Sheet must be returned to the Organizing Committee. It is mandatory that the Program Content Sheet has to be completed precisely by each skater/pair in English using the terminology listed in the respective ISU Communication. It is not permitted to hand over the Program Content Sheets directly to the acting Officials. 7. INDIVIDUAL RESULTS The marking system (ISU Judging System) as described in ISU Technical Rule Single and Pair Skating 2016, Rule 352 and Rule 353 will be used. Page 5

9. ACCOMMODATION AND TRAVEL FEES The organizer covers the costs of accommodation and full board for one judge as follows: for Judges, who are only judging novice competitions beginning with November 30 th, 2015, starting with Dinner to Thursday, November 29 th, 2016 including lunch or after the Round Table Discussion, whichever is later. for Judges, who are only judging Junior and Senior competitions: beginning with Wednesday, November 30 th, 2016, starting with dinner, to Sunday, December 4 th, 2016, including lunch or after Round Table Discussion, whichever is later., Additional judges need to cover their own costs. Travel fees will be paid only to Technical Specialists and Technical Controllers based on economy air fare. 10. TRANSPORT All hotels are located nearby the ice rink so that no transportation will be necessary. The nearest airports to Dortmund are Dortmund-Airport and Duesseldorf International Airport. There is a direct train from Duesseldorf International Airport Station (to be reached by the Sky train) to Dortmund Main Station (approx. 1 ½ hours). A special bus-service will also be provided between the Duesseldorf International Airport (not Duesseldorf-Weeze) and Dortmund at certain times. Costs for this service will be 30,00 per person one way. Only in very exceptional cases transport for single persons will be provided at the cost of the person concerned, 11. ACCREDITATION The official accreditation is planned at the Ice Rink. Accreditation will be given to all Referees, Assistant Referees, ISU Office Holders and Guests. Accreditation as a Team Member will furthermore be given to all entered Judges and Participants, one Team Leader, one coach per Competitor and one Chaperone. 12. ENTRY FEES Entry fees: 45,00 for single skater and 90,00 for pairs. In case no judge has been entered by the respective Member Federation the entry fees for a single skater amount to 70,00 and for a Pair to 140,00. PRACTICE SCHEDULE The detailed schedule will be issued at the time of registration. 14. INSURANCE / LIABILITY In accordance with Rule 119, it is the sole responsibility of each Member participating in the NRW Trophy 2016, to provide medical and accident insurance for their athletes, officials and all other members of the Member s team. Such insurance must assure full medical attendance and also the return of the ill or injured person to the home country by air transport or by other expeditious means. It is an internal matter of each ISU Member to decide the issue who shall pay the premium for such insurance. The Organizer assumes no responsibility for or liability with respect to bodily or personal injury or property damage incurred in connection incurred by Competitors and Officials. Page 6
