Our Featured Destinations The British Virgin Islands The British Virgin Islands is the most popular destination for our clients. It has been consistently ranked one of the top places worldwide for both sailing and scuba diving. Despite their popularity, the islanders have taken great care to assure that the islands remain largely undeveloped by outside influences. Many of our clients find it to be the perfect mix of island culture and Caribbean tranquility. Abaco Bahamas The Abacos are easily accessible by our American clients, located only 180 miles from Florida. These prime sailing waters are scattered with local communities rich in culture and deserted cays. The absence of industry and river runoff allows for the waters to be some of clearest in the world. Sea life is abundant and you can scuba dive or snorkel nearly anywhere. Whether you choose to spend your time relaxing on the white sand beaches or exploring the flats with a fly rod, the Abacos are a pristine canvas on which you can paint your ideal island adventure.
Leeward Islands The Leeward Islands are ideal for our more adventurous clients who enjoy longer sails in between island adventures. Unlike the Abacos and BVI, the islands are often a whole day s sail from one another. The Leewards present the greatest variety of cultures among our feature destinations. Whether shopping in the Caribbean French Riviera on St. Barthelemy or hiking to the peak of the mountains of Saba, our clients are sure to find an adventure that suits them best. Andros Remote Fly Fishing We are excited to be planning some of the first fly fishing expeditions via sailboat to the flats of South Andros. With the cooperation of some of the leading industry owners, guides and photographers, we are generating an itinerary comprised exclusively of remote locations inaccessible by traditional lodge and land based companies. We are happy to offer an adventure that will challenge and excite even the most seasoned fly fishermen.
Your Captain We understand that the role of the captain far surpasses that of delivering a boat and its crew safely to a destination. Our captains serve as guides, instructors, and facilitators on your custom adventure. While some guests choose to lounge on the deck while underway, most enjoy taking part in, or even skippering the boat themselves. Our captains serve as a constant resource for our guests and encourage them to participate in the running of the boat. Using what we have learned from our time in experiential education, we actively encourage our guests to participate in their vacation experience. Your Crew Lundy s staff is made up not only of mates, but many of our crew are also professionals in various other fields. Our staff is made up of capable individuals: from medical providers with experience working in remote areas, to professional chefs, from Divemasters to kayaking and fishing guides. Many are seasoned experiential educators, having worked for such organizations as NOLS and Outward Bound. This allows us to offer more than the average crewed charter.
