Wildcat Athletic Complex Stadium Information Packet

Security Plan 2017-2018 School Year Whitney Independent School District would like to welcome everyone to our district. We believe that athletic competition should display good sportsmanship and provide fair and competitive competition according to UIL rules and regulations. Athletic competition is a significant part of a sound educational program. Whitney Independent School District provides a safe and positive environment that promotes student success. Whitney ISD is a member of District 9-3A & 19-3A. Our security plan is as follows: 1. Whitney ISD Police Department will patrol the venue prior and after all athletic contests. 2. Local (City of Whitney) Fire Department will be on site for emergency services (student and spectator) prior, during, and after all football contests. They will be located on the Southeast side of Wildcat Stadium. 3. Whitney ISD (Administrators) will monitor weather conditions. In the event of lightning all players, managers, trainers, coaches, band members, and cheerleaders will evacuate the field/stadium and take safety at their respective dressing areas. 4. Whitney ISD will provide the following: Sport Police Administrators Ticket Seller/ Ticket Taker Fire Department (EMS) Football - Varsity 2 7 (minimum) 4 / 4 YES - Sub-Varsity 1 2 NA Volleyball 1 2 NA Basketball 1 2 NA Baseball 1 1 NA Softball 1 1 NA

5. WISD administrators will adequately supervise and monitor crowd control. Game administrators will monitor each gate and the security of the gate receipts. Whitney ISD has a strict re-entry policy. When a patron leaves a contest, re-admission is granted only by showing of a purchased ticket, season pass or by a stamp from our gate workers. If one of these items is not produced then re-entry will only be allowed through buying a full admission price ticket. 6. Upon arrival, opposing players, managers, trainers, and coaches will be greeted and escorted by WISD personnel to their respective dressing area(s). 7. Upon arrival, all game officials, referees, and umpires will be greeted and housed in a secure area prior to, during halftime, and immediately after a game. 8. Upon approval from a WISD administrator, public address announcements will be made only for the following: UIL public address announcements WISD concessions announcements Vehicles illegally parked, automobile lights left on, lost keys, etc. Introduce and welcome visiting Administrator/s to Whitney ISD

1. Dressing Rooms Wildcat Stadium Regulations a. Whitney I.S.D. will NOT provide towels. b. Whitney I.S.D. is not responsible for any articles left in the dressing room before, during, or 2. This is a Whitney I.S.D. rule. c. Whitney I.S.D. Stadium is a tobacco free facility and tobacco use is prohibited. a. Admittance to the press box is for coaches & school personnel only. Admittance to the press box is left to the discretion of the WISD administration. b. The press box will open 1 ½ hours prior to game time. 4. Playing Field a. Team warm-up areas are as follows: i. Home Team - South end from 50 yard line to the end zone. ii. Visiting Team - North end from 50 yard line to end zone. b. All equipment such as training tables, fans, and heaters must have a protective base. Please make prior arrangements with the stadium manager. c. No live mascots are allowed. d. All large mechanical noisemakers, i.e., large air horns, must be on your own side and face your spectators. e. Band props must not mark or scar the field. This includes painted items as well as sharp wheels or other equipment that may damage the surface.

f. Blow-up helmets and tunnels may be allowed on the playing field but must be cleared with the WISD administrator in charge. Blowup equipment must be quickly cleared after use. g. Any and all run through signs must be of vinyl cloth with permanent paint that does not run when wet. Do Not Use Painted Paper h. Visiting teams to WISD Wildcat Stadium will be held responsible for negligent damages to the playing field or track. i. No Ice chests will be allowed in the stadium. Exceptions include the competing teams, bands, 5. Stadium Bleachers drill teams, and cheerleaders. a. Absolutely no climbing or jumping over rails from the bleachers to the field. b. Absolutely no crossover by spectators from home side of stadium to visitor side of stadium or vice-versa. c. Spirit signs used in the bleachers must be made of vinyl or cloth with permanent paint that does not run when wet. Location of Spirit signs: i. Visitors East side (Top rail & Bottom Rail) ii. Home West side (Top & Bottom Rail)

Wildcat Stadium Rules 1. NO LOITERING. All spectators will need to be seated in the stadium during the course of any athletic event. This change will impact students and young children who have traditionally gathered in areas around the stadium or under the bleachers. 2. ALCOHOL, TOBACCO, WEAPONS AND FIREARMS are not allowed, by state law, on school property. 3. OUTSIDE FOOD OR DRINK is not allowed in the stadium, including bottle water.\ 4. NO SEEDS, GUM, OR CANDY allowed on the playing surfaces. 5. JACKETS, BACK PACKS AND LARGE BAGS are subject to search. 6. AUTHORIZED PERSONNEL ONLY will be admitted onto the field before, during, or after the game. 7. AUTHORIZED PERSONNEL ONLY will be allowed to cross over to the opposing side. 8. ANIMALS, BICYCLES, SKATES, SKATEBOARDS, FRISBEES, ROLLERBLADES, AND BALLS OF ALL TYPES are not allowed in the stadium. 9. OUTSIDE MUSIC/PA SYSTEMS are not allowed in the stadium. 10. While fun, enjoyment and school spirit are important, safety remains a priority at Whitney I.S.D. These rules were established to enhance crowd control and safety. 11. Thank you for being here.
