ADULT RIDES Breeze Rides April to October - Countywide Breeze is British Cycling s biggest programme ever to get more women into riding bikes for fun. Breeze Champions are female volunteers who have been trained to organise fun, social, local bike rides for women only. Rides go at a speed that suits everyone, and they often stop at a cafe en-route so everyone can have a coffee, cake and a chat! www.goskyride.com/breeze Sky Ride Local Programme June to October - Countywide Sky Ride Local rides are fun, free community bike rides that offer a great way of getting out and exploring your local area and meeting like-minded people. British Cycling trained ride leaders are friendly local volunteers who love bike riding and guide groups of around 16-24 people along a variety of fascinating rural and urban routes. They re on hand to provide friendly encouragement and guidance, whatever your age or ability. Starting at Oundle Market Square at 9.15am, the route will follow the more attractive parts of the Race route which runs to the north of the County. The main ride will be 100km (62miles), with optional self led variants of 110 km and 80Km towards the later parts of the route. The main group will expect to average 21 kph (13mph). CHARITY BIKE RIDES Daventry Cycling Club s Charity Ride Sunday 28 June - Daventry A new charity ride has been launched by Daventry Cycling Club to raise funds for the Myton Hospices. The event, offers three routes a more leisurely 20k which covers the cycle paths of Daventry and takes in the Country Park and reservoir, and more challenging routes of 50k and 106k through picturesque Northamptonshire and Warwickshire lanes and villages. www.cycleformyton.wordpress.com Cycle4Cynthia Sunday 13 September Althorp, Daventry Northamptonshire s favourite annual fundraising bike ride has been launched for its twelfth year. Cyclists from across Northants are once again being encouraged to leap into the saddle to show their support for this annual fundraising bike ride. Althorp is delighted to welcome back Cycle4Cynthia for a fun filled day raising funds and awareness for the Cynthia Spencer Hospice. This year s event is offering riders 5, 25, 50 mile routes. www.cycle4cynthia.com The Roman Challenge 2015 Sunday 27 September Salcey Forest, South Northants 2015 will be the 10th Roman Challenge mountain bike ride event which will take place at Salcey Forest and surrounding countryside. The event is organised by the Hackleton & District Women s Institute to raise funds and to donate to our local community. The Roman Challenge is not a race, it is a personal challenge. JUNIOR & YOUTH ACTIVITIES Kettering Cycling Club Go Ride Programme Kettering Cycling Club is running a number of Go-Ride sessions over the coming months. There will be three types of event; KCC Go-Ride coaching sessions, KCC Go-Ride family rides (at off-road picturesque locations), and KCC Go-Ride off-road races. The coaching sessions will be held at either Rothwell Community Centre or Brambleside School in Kettering. All kids coaching session are FREE. The club welcome riders from 7 to 17 years of age, regardless of ability. All coaches are qualified, DBS checked and First Aid qualified. www.ketteringcyclingclub.co.uk/goride_events.asp A5 Rangers Go Ride Programme A5 Rangers Go Ride coaching programme for 6 to 15 year olds takes place every Monday at 7pm at Silverstone Circuit. Anyone interested (including parents!) should meet at the circuit where British Cycling level 2 coaches will run the session. Sessions will last between 50 min and 1 hour and are free. All types of bike and skill levels are welcome. Riders will work on various skills, play games, take part in individual and team races, which overall provides an enjoyable and thrilling experience. FAMILY EVENTS Cycle Saturday Saturday 6 June - Kettering Town Centre Cycling is coming to Kettering Town Centre! In the run up to the Aviva Women s Tour, Kettering Borough Council is promoting both the Women s Tour and cycling in Northamptonshire on Saturday 6 June. There are lots of free bike activities all day in the town centre alongside the general and teenage market. The event is suitable for the whole family. Bring your bikes down as there will be a bike doctor offering free safety checks and the Police will be providing free bike coding. Women s Tour Warm-up Party Thursday 18 June - Oundle The party starts in Oundle from 4pm until 9pm in the centre of Oundle on the eve of Oundle s Stage 3 start. There are lots of exciting events and activities planned for the whole family, including music and dance to excite the atmosphere and loads of family entertainment. www.oundle.info Corby Cyclefest 19 & 20 June - Corby Town Centre Now in its fourth year, Corby Cyclefest is a free cycle-themed event with a range of fun activities for the whole family taking place at Corby Cube, including a Cycle Cinema on the Friday night. www.facebook.com/corbycyclefest Women s Tour Finish Line Event Friday 19 June - Kettering Town Centre Join us at Kettering Town Centre to watch the finish of the third stage of the Aviva Women s Tour at Kettering Town Centre. As well as the excitement of the race there will plenty of cycling related displays and activities on offer. What s more look out for the pink bikes! Kettering Borough Council has old bikes donated from residents from around the county. The bikes have been painted pink and have been given to local businesses in and around Kettering to promote the Aviva Women s Tour and promote local offers provided by the local shops. Daventry Cyclefest Saturday 5 September - Daventry Country Park Cyclefest 2015 is a fun free event and aims to celebrate cycling by providing cycling experiences for all ages. The event will take place from 11am to 3pm at Daventry Country Park. There will be plenty to see and activities to get involved with including; free bike check-ups, fun crazy bikes to try-out, restored retro bikes, bike powered scalextric and smoothie makers, toddle bikes for toddlers and a bike puzzle trail for youngsters. www.daventrydc.gov.uk/leisure/cycling

This is a cracking end of season sportive made up of rolling hills and can be described as flowing allowing riders to keep a good pace. There is only one notable hill which features on the Epic loop. After the start you Break out of Circuit and head into the quiet lanes of Northamptonshire.
