7 Easy Steps for a Great Reebok Spartan Kids Race Experience 1. Upon arrival at the race venue, proceed to the WAIVERS/ BIB NUMBERS tent located near the entrance to the Festival Area. 2. Fill out and sign both your child s Participant Waiver, your Spectator Waiver as a parent/guardian, and NBC Waiver. 3. Proceed to the Kids Race REGISTRATION tent with your Waiver and Photo IdentiYication (below the orange Kid s Zone wind blade). 4. Pick up your race packet, which will include two complimentary spectator passes, headband and bib number. Retain the numbered tear- off tab from the bib number so that your can claim your child after the race. 5. If you choose, drop your stuff at BAG CHECK tent for safe- keeping. Bag Check is $5 per bag. 6. As you head into the Festival Area, look for the orange wind blades depicting KIDS ZONE, START & FINISH". 7. Prepare for Glory (and smiles galore)

2. RACE DAY REGISTRATION FLOW NOTE: Show up at least 2 HOUR prior to your Heat Start Time at the parking lot. Saturday: Sunday: STEP 1: STEP 2: STEP 3: STEP 4: STEP 5: area. STEP 6:. Registration OPENS at 6:00am and CLOSES at 3:30pm Registration OPENS at 6:30am and CLOSES at 2:30pm With your Signed Waivers, Bib Number and PHOTO IDENTIFICATION in hand, proceed to the REGISTRATION TENT. Find the Kids Race registration lane (to the right as you approach the tents) Participants will hand race waiver to one of our awesome Volunteers in the Registration tent. Waivers and ID will be checked to verify identity before packet is received. You will receive: Race Bib Spartan Headband with Bib Number. Two free spectator passes. Once you have your race packet and headband, proceed into the Festival BAG CHECK. If you re planning to store gear at our Bag Check tent, we will tag your bag with a wristband, which will match an identical wristband that you must wear. Once you ]inish the race, you ll need to turn in your wristband in order to collect your bag. Bags will only be returned to individuals whose name and number match up. Bags can be checked for $5 per bag. For each checked bag, you will receive $5 in Spartan Bucks, which can be redeemed at the Merchandise Tent (not valid for Food or Beverage). Saturday: Bag Check tent will OPENS at 6:00am and CLOSE when the last racer picks up their bags. Sunday: Bag Check tent will OPENS at 6:30am and CLOSE when the last racer picks up their bags.

4. COURSE DESCRIPTION Terrain: 100% off- road. The terrain is extremely steep and there are lots of sharp turns and gnarly single- track sections. If it rains (as it did in 2013), this course will be our muddiest of the year - tie your shoes tight, make sure you have good treads, train hard, and DON T GIVE UP 5. EVENT TIMING - There is no timing of the Spartan Kids Race 6. itab FINISHER MEDALS - With no timing of the Spartan Kids Race, the itab option is not available. 7. OFFICIAL SPARTAN KIDS RACE SHIRTS - Each Kids Race participant receives a 2014 Kids Race t- shirt. 8. AWARDS - Each Kids Race participant receives a medal at the ]inish line upon completion of the race. 10. HOW TO GET HERE ALL RACER, SPECTATORS, VOLUNTEERS, and HURRICANE HEAT PARTICIPANT PARKING IS LOCATED AT: King Gillette Ranch 26800 Mulholland Hwy Calabasas, CA 91302 Click here for directions. There is NO parking allowed at Calamigos Ranch or on Mulholland Highway near the ranch. Local police have requested we keep this area clear for emergency vehicles only and they will be issuing tickets to those who ignore this message. Thank you for your cooperation GENERAL PARKING: All car parking is at King Gillette Ranch (Located at 26800 W. Mulholland Highway, Calabasas, CA 91302). Parking opens at 5:00am (NO EARLIER). PLEASE CARPOOL Parking is $10 for cars, $20 for vans, and $50 for buses. Cash only. The entrance to the King Gillette parking lot is located on Mulholland Highway, about 0.4 miles East of the Main Entrance, just opposite Stokes Canyon Rd. The Parking lot is a very large ]ield - please remember where you parked. Also, please give yourself ample time to check in and get to the start line - aim to arrive at the parking lot no less than 2 hours before your scheduled heat. Handicap Parking spots are available. SHUTTLES: We will have over 30 shuttles scheduled to run round- trip from the beginning of the day until the last person leaves. The drive time between the parking lot and race venue is approximately 20 minutes each way (**NOTE: weather, trafyic, road work, and other unforeseen circumstances can always extend travel and wait times). Shuttles are FREE to anyone who parks at the General Parking Lot. Please respect your driver and your shuttle by being polite and keeping it clean.

11. SPECTATORS Saturday and Sunday Spectator passes are available online for $20 here or $25 onsite. Please come by the Spectator Tent to pick up your wristband. Please print the Spectator Waiver from the Malibu Spartan Sprint event page bring an ID to the Spectator Tent on race day. Spectator maps will be available at the Spectator Tent for those looking to get close to the action. Anyone entering the festival MUST ]ill out a waiver and have a wristband (including racers). Food (BBQ and healthy options) and drink will be for sale (please bring cash). Unique Spectator Course access with obstacle viewing, to get your favorite Spartan Racer s pictures DJ & Emcee entertainment all day. 12. EQUIPMENT & CLOTHING All participants are encouraged to bring a change of clothes, shoes, and a plastic bag. You are going to get wet and muddy Shoe Donation will be available- we ll clean and send your ]ilthy running shoes to needy feet all over the globe. Just tie them together and toss them in the pile by the showers. 14. FOOD & BEVERAGES Food and beverages will be available for sale. 15. RESPONSIBLE DRINKING Spartan Race HQ reminds you to drink responsibly. This race is one of grit and determination that should not be tarnished by the irresponsible acts of few. 16. FACILITIES Porta- Potties will be located throughout the festival area. Washing Stations are located on- site, but bring a towel and a change of clothes.

17. EPI PEN If you have known allergies and have been prescribed epinephrine by your physician, Spartan Race strongly urges you to carry your auto- injector on course at all times and use it immediately at the ]irst sign of a severe allergic reaction. Using epinephrine, the medicine in your EpiPen Auto- Injector, immediately after you have been exposed to your allergy trigger may prove to be life saving. You may not always have predictable reactions and sometimes there may not be enough warning signs before a serious reaction occurs. However, if you are experiencing a severe allergic reaction then hesitating to use epinephrine or not using it at all can lead to a life- threatening situation. If you use your EpiPen, notify the course medical team immediately. There are many sturdy carrying case options available online to protect your auto- injector against the abuse that the course will deliver. 18. SPARTAN INFORMATION ALL CHILDREN MUST BE ACCOMPAINED BY AN ADULT AT ALL TIMES. LEAVING YOUR CHILD UNATTENDED WHILE YOU ARE RACING WILL RESULT IN BEING PULLED OFF THE COURSE AND ASKED TO LEAVE. No pop- up tents are allowed in the festival. Tent space is reserved for Sponsors. No coolers or glass bottles allowed on property. Security staff will check for them as you enter. Shoe and clothing donation available both in festival and in parking lots. If you want to donate your muddy clothing and shoes make sure you drop it off at the proper tent and not on the ground. If you wear a GoPro, please make sure your contact information (name & phone number) is somewhere on the camera. If you lose the camera on the course, this is the only way we are able to identify it. You must have ID to check in. Racers ages 13 and older can participate in the adult s race. 13 year olds require a guardian to run with them on the adult course. Those under 13 are encouraged to join the Kids race. No DOGS/ pets allowed - Only Service Dogs with proper credentials are allowed. 19. INCLEMENT WEATHER In the event of inclement weather such as lightning, tornadoes, hurricanes and the like, Spartan Race reserves the right to eliminate obstacles, select portions of the course, or cancel the event in order to ensure the safety of racers, volunteers and staff.
