The event will be run according to the Speedway New Zealand General Rules and Regulations. 2. All drivers must hold a current SNZ Inc.Licence and all vehicles must comply with the current Speedway New Zealand Rule book and supplementary regulations. 3. Noise level of 95dba will be enforced as measured on the track infeild. 4. Electronic Lapscoring will be used. Lapscoring will be by way of the Dorian Date-1tm. Timing/Scoring system. The official transmitter for Electronic Lapscoring is Dorian Date-1 TX8000tm. Vehicles without a transmitter will not be permitted to race. Waikaraka Speedway does not provide transmitters. 5. Smoking is prohibited in the dummy grid area at all times. 6. All entry forms must be accompanied by a track clearance. 7. The Promoter reserves the right to issue temporary numbers to avoid duplication. Competitors will be advised of any such change to their racing number. 8. The promoter reserves the right to alter the format and closing date if deemed necessary. You will be notified of any such changes. 9. Technical Inspections Please pay attention to Rules E2-3-1 to E2-3-5. 10. Sponsors advertising transfers will be affixed on each car. 11. Telephone entries will be accepted prior to written entry. Entries close Wednesday 13 th December 2017. 12. In the event of a rainout, the Promoter reserves the right to hold the event on the next most opportune day and time. 13. Alcoholic beverages must not be consumed in the Pits. The bar in the Club Rooms will be open to drivers, friends and families at the end of racing. 14. Overnight Security Guards will be provided for this event, should any competitors wish to leave their trailers & tow vehicles in the Pit Area overnight. 15. Admission The driver and two crew members of the tow vehicle will be given an entry refund. Admission Prices are; January 13th Adult $30 Child* $10 Family** $75 January 14 th Adult $35 Child* $10 Family** $85 * CHILD (8 to 15 years inclusive proof of age required, 7 and under free ) ** FAMILY (2 adults and up to 4 children, 8 to 15 years incl ) NOTE: You cannot get more than 2 adults in on a family pass. Qualifying and Finals Dependent on number of entries, entrants will be divided into equal groups with a maximum of 26 cars per group over three heats with the SNZ format. Each qualifying race will be 12 laps. Finals races will be 15 laps. The highest points deemed to be the winner. Qualifying - Four Groups. Top six point s scorers from each group plus the first two place getters from a repechage race which will be the first race on the Finals night. Five Groups. Top five point s scorers from each group plus the first place getter from a repechage race which will be the first race on the Finals night. In the event of a tie on points per group the tied vehicles (from that group) will be required to take part in a run-off to determine who proceeds to the finals for the Championship. Repechage race will be the next 26 highest point s scorers. Once qualifying is completed and the top 26 cars have been found there will be a further second tier Championship made up in order of qualifying points. i.e. After the one /two Repechage drivers have been found the next six or eight (depending on entries) out of each group plus the next two highest points scorers. If a qualifier does not pass Vehicle Checking on Finals night that position will be taken by the next highest points scorer in his qualifying group.
