Class 27 Best Father s Day card FLOWER SECTION RULES FOR FLOWER SECTION 1. An Exhibit is defined as a presentation with or without accessories. 2. All fresh plant material must be in water or water retaining material. Exceptions: Air plants, cacti, fruits, grass turf, lichen, moss, succulents, vegetables, and long lasting plant material (including strong fibrous stems) which will remain turgid for the duration of the show. 3. No Exhibit may be removed before the end of the show. 4. The use of artificial plant material is excluded. 5. As spaces will have been allocated to exhibits the previous day, it is imperative that entries are received on time. Under no circumstances will late entries be accepted on the morning of the show this year. Closing date for entry: 15th June 2018 No refunds on day of show. All exhibits must be presented by 9 am. All first placed winners compete in Best of Show Entries taken from 11 am to 2 pm. Judging commences at 2.30 pm sharp. 8
RULES GOVERNING EXHIBITS AND INSTRUCTIONS TO EXHIBITORS 1. All Animals must be shown at owners risk. The Society will not be accountable for any accident, damage or loss of exhibit. 2. All stock, produce etc., to be in the Show Grounds before 9.00 am on the morning of the Show. 3. All Prizes disallowed or not awarded shall lapse to the Society. 4. Objections - All objections must be lodged with the Secretary, in writing, accompanied by a fee of 25, not later than 2.00 pm on date of the show. The fee or fees so lodged will be forfeited in cases where the objection or objections is or are considered to be frivolous. 5. Entries will not be acceptable unless accompanied by the requisite entry fee 6. In case it shall be proved to the satisfaction of the Society that the owner or any person in his employment or under his control has been guilty of any violation of the rules or regulations, has made a false statement in the certificate of entry, or has secured an unfair advantage, the exhibitor shall forfeit all Prizes awarded him at the Show, together with all fees paid by him and shall be liable to be excluded from competing at this or any future show of the society. 7. The Society shall reserve the right of declining or returning any exhibit without incurring any liability. In the event of the Society being unable to accept any entry notice will be given within six days after the final closing of the entries. The fees lodged will be refunded. 8. No refund of Entry Fees in any Class will be made in the case of entries, which are not sent forward for competition, or which are disqualified from competition for failure to comply with regulations. 9. Exhibits may not be moved from the showgrounds before 5.30 pm. Any breech of the rules will mean forfeiting of Prizes. 10. The award of a Rosette or Prize Card does not imply that the entry is entitled to prize Money. 11. All exhibits must bear their labels otherwise they will be refused by the stewards. NOTE: Anyone found interfering with an exhibit or disarranging any display will be asked to leave the grounds. SPECIAL NOTICE: The Society will not be responsible for any loss, damage, accident or otherwise which may occur to any Exhibitor, Exhibit, Visitor, or Vehicle at the Show. The Show is run under the Rules and Regulations of The Irish Shows Association.
