MEMBERSHIP INFORMATION JOINER FEE There is a one time YMCA joiner fee of $80.00 for all new Young Adult, Family, Senior and Couple members. Student joiner fee is $30.00, youth members pay no joiners fee. If you renew your membership within 30 days after the expiration date, the joiner fee is waived. If your membership expires for longer than 30 days you will be required to repay the $80.00 joiner fee to renew your membership. GUEST PASSES Members may bring a guest to the Y. Members must stay in the building with their guest. Guests may not purchase a pass without a current active member. Guest passes are good for facility use and may be purchased (with State ID) by anyone 13 years of age and over. Children under 13 may purchase a guest pass if accompanied by an adult 21 years of age or older who will supervise in the building. Fees are: Ages birth to 13, $5.00; ages 13 and older, $10.00 (photo id required). Guests are limited to four visits per month. Guest pass fees may be applied toward the purchase of any membership if the guest joins within 30 days of paying these fees. MEMBERSHIP RATES LOCKER & TOWEL SERVICE $120 annual add-on or $10 per month. LOCKER ROOMS The Men s and Women s locker rooms are in the pool area and are for the use by those ages 13 and over. Children under the age of 13 must use the Boys and Girls locker rooms in the main hallway. Children 6 and under: Parents who wish to accompany their child into the Men and Women s locker room must use the appropriate locker room which is determined by the parent s gender. Children age 7 and older: Children must use the boys or girls locker room based on their gender. Parents can only accompany their child into the locker room if they are the same gender as the child. FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE The New Rochelle YMCA offers financial assistance, based on one s ability to pay, to anyone who cannot afford to become a member or participate in programs. This is made possible through the support of our donors. Financial aid applications are available for download from our website at www.nrymca.org or from our Welcome Center. All applications for financial aid are kept confidential. Assistance available only if funds are available. Children under 7yrs must have an adult accompany them in the water. GYM TIMES Let them run! Bring your kids in comfortable clothes and let them expend their energy in our gymnasium. Bring a basketball, soccer ball, or their favorite sports equipment and enjoy! RACQUET BALL / HANDBALL COURTS We supply the racquets and balls. Come out and work up a sweat playing racquetball. KARATE INSTRUCTION KARATE Studio 50 The New Rochelle YMCA and the New Rochelle Shotokan Karate Club have partnered together in a joint class to provide your child with selfdefense skills and also teach discipline and respect. Karate sessions run monthly. Registration and payment are due prior to first class. Ages 7 and up. Students will learn at their own pace and gain confidence in the water. Beginner Fridays 6:00-9:00pm or Saturdays 11:00am -12:00pm This class is for the non-swimmer seeking to achieve comfort and movement in the water. Students will learn basic balance in the water, changing positions from front to back, front to back float, side strokes and elementary backstroke. Front crawl is introduced. Intermediate Mondays 8:00-9:00pm and Friday 7:00-8:00 pm This class further develops the front crawl, deep water skills, treading water and survival float. Backstroke is introduced. Adult Aquacise Aquacise - Pool Emphasis is placed on total fitness including warm-up, cardiovascular exercises, muscular strength for the lower and upper body, and range of motion exercises. The water is used for support and resistance. No swimming skills required. Class includes weights for first 30 minutes, working every major muscle group and then stretching poses for the last 30 minutes. Tuesdays 10 am 11am Group Cycling (New Cycling Room Inside Gym) Indoor cycling will enhance your speed, strength and stamina, improve your overall physical health and increase your caloric burn. Tuesdays: 6:00 pm Thursdays: 6:30 pm Saturdays: 9:30 am Pilates Plus - Studio 50 Combining the elements of Pilates, Yoga and Chi Gung, this class focuses on core strengthening, breath, flexibility, alignment and coordination for overall body awareness and fitness. Wednesdays 11 am Abs and Back - Studio 50 Strengthen abdominal and back muscles in a fun, safe, way! This class includes mat and ball exercises that will challenge and balance you. Fridays 10:00-11:00am Body Sculpt Body sculpting (or core conditioning) is a non-aerobic, muscle-toning class, usually focused on core strength. This class is designed to strengthen and stretch the muscles around joints to keep your body in optimal condition. Wear comfortable, loose clothing and be prepared to sweat! This program is designed for participants with very little exercise experience, participants that are physically limited, or inactive older adults. Mondays 9:00-10:00am Simple Chair Stretch - Gym This Stretch class is suited for those who have limited mobility or those with little exercise experience. Instructor may use chairs to accommodate those who cannot do floor stretches. Fridays 10:15am 10:55am Chair YOTAILATES - Studio 50 What on earth is Yotailates, you ask?! The class is an intriguing combination of Yoga, Tai Chi, and Pilates. Multi -exercise-certified instructor, Michael Iachetta, combines the breathing techniques of yoga with the discipline of Tai Chi and the core strengthening moves of Pilates. Mondays, 10:00am 12:00pm Thursdays, 10:00-11:00am Senior Stretch - Gym This is a program that includes a full membership to the YMCA, which includes our popular SilverSneaker Fitness Classes. Handheld weights, elastic tubing with handles, and a ball are offered for resistance, and a chair is used for seated and/or standing support. The program operates Monday to Friday except for district scheduled school holidays. All Children are welcome to join our Weekly Swimming class for pre-school students. Half Day Option: Morning session from 9:00am to 11:30am $240 per month Afternoon session from 12:30pm to 3:00pm $240 per month Full Day Option: Parents may choose enroll their children for a full day for $400 per month or if your child is already attending for half a day UPK, add additional $270 per month.
