Press Release TVB and Astro s Cross-boundary Collaboration: Outbound Love Ruco Chan, Lin Xia Wei, Elaine Yiu, Tony Hung and Matt Yeung arrived at Penang at Malaysia to meet and greet fans (Hong Kong 7 January 2014) Collaborated by two leading TV broadcasters, TVB and Astro in Malaysia, the love drama Outbound Love will soon be on air on 20 January. With the concerted efforts by TVB and Astro, TVB production crew arrived at Kuala Lumpur and Penang during April-May 2013 for drama shooting of Outbound Love, which is regarded as the next top-quality collaborated drama after Born Rich in 2009. The drama main cast, including Ruco Chan, Lin Xia Wei, Elaine Yiu, Tony Hung and Matt Yeung arrived at Penang during 4-5 January to promote this grand production! Actors and actresses from Outbound Love such as Ruco Chan, Lin Xia Wei, Elaine Yiu, Tony Hung and Matt Yeung travelled to Malaysia for drama shooting last year. They were able to enjoy spectacular views and various delicacies, bring them valuable memory. The five artistes arrived at Entertainment City at Penang Times Square for the exclusive fans gathering on the first day. Artistes and fans played interactive games and all of them enjoyed the occasion so much! On the next day, TVB artistes Ruco Chan, Lin Xia Wei, Elaine Yiu, Tony Hung and Matt Yeung arrived at Entertainment City at Penang Times Square and Tesco Bukit Mertajam for the promotional activities, where they attended Astro Chinese New Year Carnival as well. They attracted a large crowd of fanatic supporters. They were pleased to receive warm welcome and replied with greetings in several Malay dialects. The artistes introduced their roles and revealed the storyline, making the audiences hope for the drama premiere so much! Except TVB artistes, Astro artistes, namely Juztin Lan Kah Fai, Jordan Sen, Belle Chan, Denise Tzushiuan Tan, also joined the drama shooting. Hong Kong and Malaysia artistes were excited to gather once again at the occasion. Meanwhile, Ruco Chan performed the one of the drama song of Outbound Love on stage, letting the audiences to feel their love before the drama broadcast. Elaine Yiu also delivered awesome singing performance on stage. Then, the five artistes invited audiences to play interactive games. Tony Hung and Matt Yeung tasted different type of fruits at game and were required to draw the fruit for fans to guess. After that, all artistes also played another funny game in which they had to speak Malay in Cantonese phonetics. Their pronunciations created a lot of laughter and bought about lively atmosphere. All artistes wished the drama could earn high ending and the activities were 1
happily concluded. Outbound Love took scenes at Kuala Lumpur and Penang. A number of scenic spots, such as Petronas Twin Tower, Batu Caves and Penang National Park, Penang George Town Heritage Street Art, Queen Victoria Memorial Tower and Clan Jetty were also captured.
