Andrew Middleton (Chairman) 2018 Winter Junior Teams Invitation to Participate See separate brochure for Junior Competition. Since 1992 Warehouse Cricket has encouraged the development of a Junior competition which is played on Saturday afternoons. In 2017 there were 62 Junior teams from U/13 to U/16 with U13- U14 Age Levels being graded into Divisions for the first time and which proved very successful. Provided that there are sufficient teams nominating, Junior competitions are played at either Association grounds or nominated Club grounds on a Saturday afternoon under the general rules applying to Junior cricket and are open to all eligible cricketers (male or female). However, an all girls Junior competition can be graded subject to a minimum of 4 teams being registered. The U/15 & U/16 grades play under similar rules to Senior competitions. The support of all volunteers and parents is appreciated. Page 4

MyCricket (Website for Registration and Statistics) Cricket Australia mandates that all clubs utilize its online national cricket management system called MyCricket for team and player registration along with game statistics. Features of MyCricket include player registrations, fixture generating, full score cards, player statistics, ladders, and team communication. Username and Passwords: Teams not previously registered or have changed names Player Registration: To setup your username and password to login into MyCricket, I require a contact name and email address. This contact should be the primary user / person entering the details into MyCricket. Please send an email to treasurer@warehousecricket.org advising him of your club name, and your contact details. Once your club has been established in MyCricket, a username, password and help guide will be emailed to you. Additional club usernames and passwords can be established for other teams or team members within your club as desired once you have access to login into MyCricket. All player statistics and Data is included on the Cricket Australia program, MyCricket which covers, administration, Insurance Cover and Competitions/ player statistics. New Players: Existing Players: MyCricket has a Player Registration screen to register any players who are not already part of your club. Before you try to register any new players, it is essential that you have obtained the player s full name, date of birth and address details. Additional information such as contact details (phone numbers and email address) would be beneficial to record as a method to contact your team members throughout the season. Before any players are registered on the MyCricket database, all new players are cross checked against the database to see if they have been registered previously. If a player has been registered previous, MyCricket will not allow you to make a duplicate record of the player in your team. To have the player, who is currently registered with another team, you need to select the player and select the Transfer option. This will add the player to your playing roster, while still keeping the player in his existing team. For details or assistance, contact the Statistician (Peter Pfeffer) on treasurer@warehousecricket.org or call Peter on0418-189 702 or 3491 7770 (a/h) Page 5

SENIOR TEAMS NOMINATING FOR 2018 WINTER SEASON (example of average costs) The following example is representative of the costs that a typical Single team Club would need to cover, given that no outside sponsorship or support is available. These costs include GST where GST is applicable. Note: Wicket fees are payable on days where cricket commences. 1: Wicket Fees: All examples are based on if all games are played on Turf wickets. 2: Whilst calculations assume that all games will be allocated Umpires for each day, this is not always the case in lower grades. 3: Balls costs are based on average usage of 2 Piece balls (Premier League will use 4 piece balls @$49.95 ea) 4. Cost per player is based on an average payment for each day, assuming each player pays an equal amount. 5. GST is payable on grounds operated by Warehouse Cricket and those clubs that are registered for GST. For calculation purposes, it is assumed that GST will apply to all grounds. COMMONLY ASKED QUESTIONS Kianawah Park Nets QUESTION What are the average costs for playing? Can we pay an up front fee for the whole season or will we have to pay umpiring fees to the umpire each week? How do we nominate what Grade we would like to play in? (Refer to Grading Rules 5.2 - Page 7, of the General Rules.) http://www.warehousecri cket.org/files/70/files/00 %20- %20General_Competition _By_Laws%20as%20at%2 0010916.pdf Do you need to have player insurance? Do you require a list of players for the whole season and do these players need to be registered by a certain date? WICKET FEES ANSWER If 11 players pay an average cost per day, then the organiser will generally cover all costs. (See Page 6) Nomination fees are required when you nominate. Yes, it is possible to pay wicket fees up front or week by week. Most teams pay week by week. Umpire Expenses: Umpires are paid $60.00 per day by EACH team. You can nominate by Geographic Regions: ie Northside or Southside. For the level of the Grade: We need your honest answers to current player status and then we grade new teams. We may also ask you questions on the nomination nights when you come in to discuss nominations with us. but they would be expected to be in the same category of player skills. ie: You wouldn t bring in a 1 st Grade player if you were in "C" grade in Warehouse. With the support of Cricket Australia, a national Insurance scheme is in place and all registered players on MyCricket are covered subject to being registered correctly, including address and date of birth details. When you submit the list of players on your nomination form (along with their previous experience) that is the guide for us to grade your team. You will still have the opportunity to add new players at any time up to the end of fixtures. Warehouse Cricket adjusted its fees to take in a wet weather insurance policy. Under this system, unless play commences on a given day s play, wicket fees are now NOT required. If you forfeit a game, you pay the fees of both teams. The practice nets at Kianawah Park are available to Warehouse Cricket teams on playing days and other parties through Peter Jorgensen below. $15 per hr during the day and $20 per hr at night. Bookings and enquiries can be made during business hours. Peter Jorgensen on 3890 4577 (bus hrs) or Email: peterj@jorgensen.net.au Page 7
