For a discounted rate, please reserve your room under the West Coast Elite Dance room block prior to January 27, 2016. Please note WCE Dance will not hold any room reservations. Westin Long Beach 333 East Ocean Blvd., Long Beach, CA 90802 (562) 499-2006 Event Schedule All solo and improv entries will compete Friday, February 26. All team dances will compete Saturday, February 27. There will be unlimited solo, improv and team entries at WCE Nationals. Closing Gala All participating dancers and two coaches from each school will receive complimentary admission to our prestigious semi- formal Gala Saturday evening. NEW ~ Finalists will re compete in the Gala for any category that has 8 or more entries. This is applicable to both the Silver & Gold levels. The highest scoring team dance from each school will be selected to dance in the Gala. The winners of each Gold category will also dance in the Gala, along with four judges choice awards, and all solo and improv finalists. All specialty awards for both Silver and Gold levels (Grand Champions, top overall, best in etc.) will be awarded at the closing of the Gala. * Unless a dance receives a judges choice award or first place in a Gold category, a minimum of four team dances must be entered at WCE Dance Nationals to be able to dance in the Gala. Levels In order to accommodate all dancers and teams, there will be two levels of competition at Nationals. Below is a general guideline for choosing levels. Please note the Character, Open, All Male, Co-ed, Pom and Kick categories will not be divided by levels. Silver Level: Designed so dancers with similar training and experience can compete against each other. If a dance receives below a 90 at a Regional competition, this would be its appropriate level. Gold Level: For highly competitive entries. If a team dance or solo receives a score of 90 or higher at a Regional Competition, that entry will automatically be put in the gold level. * Out of fairness to the other teams in the Silver category, if a dance gets a 90 or above at any regional competition, then they are required to place their dance in Gold and cannot compete in Silver. Any dance that receives less than 90 can be placed in either Silver or Gold, at the coach s discretion. Silver Solos We accept UNLIMITED solos! Solos will also be divided into and Gold levels. The same guidelines for levels should be used when registering soloists. All solo finalists will perform in the closing Gala and receive full scholarships to the 2016 WCE Summer Dance Experience! NEW ~ The top 5 highest scoring solos in the Silver Division will also receive full scholarships to the 2016 WCE Summer Dance Experience.

Improv The improv category will not be divided by levels. The highest scoring contemporary improv soloists will re-compete in our closing Gala for a full scholarship to the 2016 WCE Summer Dance Experience! Placement will be awarded in the improv hip hop division. National Awards Grand Champion: The 2016 National Grand Champions will receive $1,000! First and second runner up will also receive cash prizes. All team entries will be eligible for the Grand Champion award, regardless of level placement. Gold Top Overall: Will go to the highest scoring dance in the Gold Level. 2nd through 10th place Overall will also be awarded. The Top 5 Gold dances will receive cash prizes. Silver Top Overall: Will go to the highest scoring dance in the Silver Level. 2nd through 10th place Overall will also be awarded. The Top 5 Silver dances will receive cash prizes. Best In : Awards will be given to the highest scoring entries in Hip Hop, Lyrical, Jazz and Contemporary in both the Silver and Gold levels.
