El-Issa was advised that he requires a doctors certificate, detailing his incapacity to ride today, prior to his next race ride. RACE : Class Handicap 40m: Favoured Grace Bumped near the 00m. Nothingforthepress Inclined to pull between the 800m and 500m. Unable to improve when held up on heels approaching and rounding the home turn. Bumped near the 00m. Otto s Brother Laid out rounding the home turn. When questioned regarding the performance of the gelding apprentice C. Gallagher stated that from the outside barrier his mount was obliged to race three wide without cover throughout the event. C. Gallagher stated that his mount travelled well to the home turn however when asked to sprint upon straightening it failed to respond strongly and was disappointing in its run to the line. C. Gallagher stated that in his opinion the gelding felt the effects of a tough run in the early and middle stages over the latter part of the event. A post race veterinary examination of the gelding revealed it to have a poor recovery rate. Trainer Mr M. Dunn advised that the gelding would be spelled.

RACE : Benchmark 64 Handicap 0m: I ll Miss You Bumped on jumping. Raced wide from the 800m. Lauderdale Laid out rounding the first turn and home turn. Missing in Action Bumped on jumping. Carried wider passing the 600m. Mister Hootabell Overraced approaching and rounding the first turn. Continued to overrace throughout the middle stages. Eased when tightened for room rounding the home turn. Pressing Matters Slow to begin. Two for the Road A post race veterinary examination of the mare did not reveal any abnormality. Whakatane (NZ) Began awkwardly. RACE 3: C,G&E Maiden Handicap 06m: Almas Bumped near the 50m. Beau Dancer Slow to begin (3L). Steadied after improving onto heels near the 600m. Unable to improve approaching and rounding the home turn when held up on heels. Approaching the 00m was obliged to ease in around heels to continue to improve. Bumped near the 50m. Jockey B. Looker was fined $500 for directing words of an improper nature, including profanities, towards jockey Ms R. Murray (Last Spin) whilst pulling up (AR75(q)). In assessing penalty stewards appreciated B. Lookers poor record in relation to conduct related matters. Budderball - Began awkwardly and bumped another runner. Canny Watch Overraced approaching the first turn. Daramer Bumped shortly after the start. Rounding the home turn was obliged to ease out around heels to continue to improve. Looker (Beau Dancer) pleaded guilty to a charge of careless riding, under AR37(a), in that near the 00m he permitted his mount to shift in when insufficiently clear of Last Spin

Lookers license to ride in races was suspended for a period to commence on Friday 0 April 08 and to expire on Saturday 8 April 08, on which day he may ride. Near the 00m was checked in an effort to avoid a fallen rider. A post race veterinary examination of the filly revealed it to have a poor recovery rate. Hakwa Bounded on jumping. Marikina Approaching the 00m S. Traecey s near side stirrup leather unfastened resulting in him being dislodged from the filly. S. Traecey was assessed by the clubs ambulance officers and cleared of any serious injury. Natural Image Overraced approaching and rounding the first turn. Carried wide rounding the home turn. Snow Sparkle Began awkwardly. Overraced approaching and rounding the first turn. Overraced throughout the middle stages. Ran wide rounding the home turn. Zouki Slow into stride. Laid out rounding the home turn. Raced greenly at the entrance to the straight. RACE 5: Open Handicap 006m Belflyer Began awkwardly. Raced wide in the middle stages. Laid in under pressure over the final 00m. Duty Dude Buffeted heavily on jumping. Bumped near the 800m. Dreamalina Blundered on jumping. Elite Dubleo Bounded on jumping. 4 La Dolce Vita Laid out under pressure over the final 00m. Lady Sioux Raced wide in the early and middle stages. Inclined to lay out throughout the middle stages. Carried wider rounding the home turn. Ms Ba Bella Buffeted between runners near the 800m. National Trail Bumped and unbalanced shortly after the start. Tightened for room near the 800m. Momentarily eased from heels approaching the 00m. RACE 6: Class & Maiden Plate 70m: Card Tricks Bumped on jumping. Gallant Girl Momentarily held up on heels rounding the home turn. Bumped over the concluding stages. Let s Go Champ Began awkwardly. Overraced fiercely in the early stages. Raced wide over the final 700m. A post race veterinary examination of the gelding did not reveal any abnormality. Snuggle Bug Declared a late scratching by order of stewards, acting on veterinary advice, at 3.33pm after the filly was found to be lame in the near hind leg. Stewards ordered that all wagers on the filly be refunded and all successful wagers placed with bookmakers prior to 3.33pm be subject to the following deductions in the dollar on the face value of the ticket, 0 cents the win and 3 cents the place for st (Bravo Uncle Billy), cents the place for nd (Wind in the Willow) and cents the place for 3 rd (Terrorfilo). Ms Ljung s license to ride in races was suspended for a period to commence on Monday 3 April 08 and to expire on Wednesday May 08, on which day she may ride. Eddy Would Go Continually overraced whilst being restrained to obtain cover between the 00m and 000m. Continued to overrace throughout the middle stages. Love Time Slow to begin and bumped another runner. She Tells Lies Slow to begin. RACE 8: Class 3 Handicap 06m: Collins Creek Bumped on jumping. Raced wide in the early and middle stages. Doctor Zed Passing the 00m was eased from heels. Friends Near the 50m was eased from the heels of Tyrannize (NZ) which shifted in when insufficiently clear. Jockey P. Graham (Tyrannize (NZ)) was asked to exercise more care when shifting ground. When questioned regarding the performance of the filly jockey G. Colless stated that his mount travelled well in a forward position in the early and middle stages however failed to respond to pressure at the entrance to the straight and weakened noticeably to the line. A post race veterinary examination of the filly revealed it to have cardiac arrhythmia. Trainer Mr M. Wilson was advised that the filly is required to barrier trial to the satisfaction of stewards prior to its next race start and before such trail requires a ECG examination. Incubus Declared a late scratching by order of stewards at 3.45pm after the gelding failed to arrive on course due to transport difficulties. Spinning Quarters Bumped on jumping. Apprentice C. Gallagher dropped his whip approaching the 00m. Taiko Boom - Declared a late scratching by order of stewards, acting on veterinary advice, at 4.56pm after the gelding reared in the barriers and got its near fore leg over the front gates. Stewards ordered that all wagers on the gelding be refunded and all successful wagers placed with bookmakers prior to 4.56pm be subject to the following deductions in the dollar on the face value of the ticket, 9 cents the win and 5 cents the place for st (Jets Cracker), 7 cents the place for nd (Pat s Destiny) and 6 cents the place for 3 rd (Collins Creek).
