GET READY TO RIDE 10-, 30-, 60-, 100- MILE EVENT DETAILS JUNE 10-11, 2017, AT ANGEL STADIUM

RIDER INFO CHECK-IN AND SERVICES Location: Angel Stadium, 2000 Gene Autry Way, Anaheim, CA. Parking is complimentary at the stadium. Saturday, June 10: Packet pick-up, 2:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. We strongly suggest you pick up your packet before your ride on Sunday. Long check-in lines on Sunday morning may prevent you from starting your ride on time. Riders receive two tickets to the Beerfest. (Beerfest is Saturday only from 2:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m.) Sunday, June 11: Arrive 30 minutes prior to start time. 10 mile- arrive at 8:00 a.m. start at 8:30 a.m. 30 mile- arrive at 7:30 a.m. start at 8:00 a.m. 60 mile- arrive at 6:30 a.m. start at 7:00 a.m. 100 mile- arrive at 5:30 a.m. start at 6:00 a.m. You will receive a medal when you cross the finish line. SAG (Support and Gear): SAG vehicles will track riders on routes. Flag one down or call the Help Line at 949-430-9230 for pick-up. Bike Mechanics and Rest Stops: Mechanics available at Start Line and in SAG vehicles. We HIGHLY ENCOURAGE you to bring a flat repair kit. Rest stops and aid stations are every 10-15 miles. Helmet Sticker: Affix the helmet sticker to the front of your helmet. This will help photographers tag your photos, so you will be able to find your photos after the event. Bib Number: Bib number can be worn on the back of your shirt/jersey while on the route. Please use the four safety pins provided, so the bib is completely secure.

RIDER INFO CHECK-IN AND SERVICES What to bring: Bicycle in good working order Helmet (required) Rider numbers (helmet tag and body bib) Identification Refillable water bottle Energy food/bars (also available along route) Sunglasses and gloves Weather-appropriate clothing Any needed medication and insurance card Cell phone for emergencies Flat repair kit and extra tubes Secure Bike Valet: Located near the Start Line. Food and Beverage: Riders enjoy free food and beverages all weekend. VIP/Rider Lounge: All riders have access to the VIP/Rider Lounge. Massage: Available in the Expo area after the ride. Team Village: Meet your teammates and get a team photo. Team Awards: Awards will be announced on the Main Stage on Sunday, June 11 at 10:00 a.m. You don t have to be present to win. Awards include: Best team jersey/ T-shirt Most spirited team Largest team Top fundraising team

SAFETY INFO TIPS AND BIKE MAINTENANCE In Case of Emergency, Call 9-1-1 For anything else, call the Anti-Cancer Challenge Help Line at 949-430-9230. This number and emergency information will be provided in your packet. Route Information: There will be signage throughout the route and at every turn. Your bib number will match your route color. Follow the directional route signs with your color. Red - 10-mile ride Green - 30-mile ride Light blue - 60-mile ride Orange - 100-mile ride Bike Maintenance Tips: Air - Tires are sufficiently inflated Brakes - Are working Chain - Runs smoothly Safety Tips: Keep eyes and head up; be aware of your surroundings. Always pass on the left and call out on your left. Do not cross double yellow lines. No headphones. Move off the road if you have to stop. Make eye contact with others. Be predictable to other traffic. Use verbal and hand signals to communicate with riders. Remember that riders range from beginners to avid cyclists.

SAFETY INFO TIPS AND BIKE MAINTENANCE Communicate with other traffic. Leave plenty of time and provide warning to other cyclists on changes in direction or speed. Stay on the marked route. Stay alert to avoid road hazards - look out for debris, potholes, and other road hazards. Verbally call out hazards to other riders, such as shouting, Bump or Hole. Ride where people can see you. You may want to consider wearing bright clothing. Avoid the door zone when passing parked cars. Also watch for cars in the parallel parking position. Keep an eye out for bus stops, driveways, crosswalks and other special traffic zones. Anticipate what drivers, pedestrians, and other people on bikes will do next. Cross railroad tracks at right angles. If you can t see bus, truck, or car mirrors, the drivers can t see you. Use a front white light, red rear light and reflectors when visibility is poor. Be careful of motorists passing on the right around left-turning vehicles.
