October 2015 Dear Paddlers & Supporters, Gold Coast Outrigger Canoe Club are excited to be inviting you to our first zone regatta weekend. Two big events, Race 2 of the OC6 Series and Race 5 of the OC1/2 Series will be held over one big weekend 7 th & 8 th November, 2015. The Gold Coast Outrigger Canoe Club has recently formed a new alliance with the Broadwater Parklands and the Gold Coast Aquatic Centre, and as such, our new home base is located on the Broadwater in front of these world class facilities, which are host to the swimming and cultural events for the 2018 Commonwealth Games. This particular regatta weekend the Bonjour French Festival is running alongside our regatta and into the night! Check out www.bonjourfrenchfestival.com.au. Along with free water park for the kids, great markets, food stalls, a pop up bar and a free Moulin Rouge Show Saturday night, we hope this will be the regatta worth travelling for! We are committed to hosting events within the zone, and are proud to announce we have secured the 2016 Pan Pacific Masters Games at our great new site Broadwater Parklands, the centre of the Athletes Village and entertainment hub! We promise the paddling community new variety, with one fee covering V1, OC1/2/6, Ski & SUP events! Happy Paddling and see you this regatta!
