TRAVEL Director of Coaching Derek Niepomnik 1. Felt Tryouts were a success. From player numbers, the club will be forming this amount of teams: o u8 to u14 girls 15 teams selected and posted o u8 to u14 boys 17 teams selected and posted o HS Girls - 6 teams posted and finalized o HS Boys, projected is 6 teams. Tryouts are June 10th 2. Looking at 43 total teams if all teams stay intact. I am figuring maybe losing 2-3 teams after the dust settles post-posting. 40 total teams seems very realistic. 3. Chicago Fire Night June 23 versus Columbus Crew o Still plenty of tickets available o Sent another email last week to members 4. European Sports is ready for registration nights. New Uniforms look great. o June 12 (Falcon), June 13 and 14 (at Senior Center) 2nd Vice President, Travel Tony Mulert 1. Girls' high school and boys' and girls' U8-U14 tryouts were held in May. Details are in the DOC report. 2. A huge thanks to those who spent so much time making tryouts go smoothly. We had a number of weather challenges but the turf really paid off in the end and I heard no complaints from parents or kids about the schedule or venue changes. Thanks to Tony Mulert, Pam Dubinski, Matt Roberts, and Terry Ruff, all of whom spent multiple shifts in the cold and rain, and especially Dee Kohring, who signed up for and covered just about every shift there was. Also thanks Joe, Rob, Brett, Chris for helping out with last minute website support, Tony for his tent pitching skills, and anyone else I forgot because my mind is going.
