Head next by Navy launch to the USS Arizona Memorial, where 1,777 of the boat s crew lost their lives on December 7, 1941. This national monument sits over the submerged remnants of the ship s mid-section. Continue your Pearl Harbor visit with a stop at the USS Missouri, where you ll enjoy an in-depth guided tour of one of the most famous (and longest-serving) American battleships in history. The vessel first came into service in WWII, hosted the Japanese surrender to the Allied Forces and saw its last active duty during the 1990s Desert Storm operation. Following your exploration of Pearl Harbor, continue back to downtown Honolulu for a chance to investigate some of the city s top sights. Kailua village November 11: Included sightseeing tour on Hawaii Breakfast On this exciting full-day Kilauea volcano adventure, scour fields of jet black lava in search of volcanic activity, from steaming vents to rivers of magma and gaping volcanic craters. Explore inside the Jaggar Museum and trek through the Thurston Lava Tube, and if conditions allow, you might have the chance to hike directly towards the flow. In addition to the sights in Hawaii Volcanoes National Park, you ll also make trips to Rainbow Falls and an orchid or macadamia nut farm. The tour begins in downtown Hilo by historic Banyan Drive, where you ll next travel to either a macadamia nut or tropical orchid farm. Upon entering Hawaii Volcanoes National Park, trek through the rainforest to the Thurston Lava Tube that was formed by a river of magma, and tour this well-lit tube to walk where magma once flowed. While the lava tube area is green and lush, the landscape is rockier up near the rim of Haleama uma u Crater, where sulfurous steam rises up from the pit and its lava lake far down below.
