4 2018 FIFA WORLD CUP GAMES IN SAMARA In 2018 Russia is going to host FIFA World Cup for the first time. The international event is taking place in our country from June 14 till July 15, 2018. Samara, situated in the center of the European part on the left bank of the Volga, is one of the 11 host cities of the worldwide major football event. Around 1,17 million inhabitants of different nationalities live in our city. Samara is known as one of the aerospace centers of Russia it is here where the well-known Soyuz space launch vehicles are made, one of which is installed in the city center as a monument. The inhabitants and guests of the city always take pleasure in walking along one of the longest embankments in this country and in its huge green parks. Samara is also one of the most prominent cities on the football map of Russia. They started playing football here in 1911, and PFC Krylia Sovetov was established 76 years ago; not only famous Russian football players but also numerous award-winning mercenaries have been making its fans happy. The stadium built for 2018 FIFA World Cup will host home games of PFC Krylia Sovetov after the World Championship games. The stadium is designed in cosmic style which reflects contribution of the city to the glorious history of Russia. The stadium is situated in such a way that people from Samara and other cities and towns of the Samara region will have easy and comfortable access to the building. Samara will host 4 group stage games, 1/8 and? playoff games, including participation of the Russia national football team.

8 Free transport All 2018 FIFA World Cup spectators have the chance to make use of free transport to the World Cup locations on game days. An obligatory requirement for using free transport: a game ticket and FAN ID. + You can get FAN ID in FAN ID Center or by mail. In order to do so it is necessary to buy a game ticket on fifa.com and register on fan-id.ru beforehand. You can travel to 2018 FIFA World Cup locations by special transport routes (shuttles) (pp.9-11) or public transport routes (pp.12-15) marked by the World Cup logo. This right of free transportation by routes of the sporting event during the whole period of the event is provided to volunteers with electronic volunteer travel document and people from the FIFA list.
