1. General Information Acro Clube da Maia and the Maia City Hall, with the support of the Portuguese Gymnastics Federation and the Portuguese Sport & Youth Institute, are pleased to organize the 12 th Maia International Acro Cup This Competition will take place in the city of Maia from March 1 st to 4 th 2018. The Maia International Acro Cup is opened to National / Regional Teams, as well as Club Teams. There will also be a Team Competition for Youth, Age Group 1, Age Group 2, Junior and Senior. The Team classification is defined by the sum of the marks of 3 pairs or groups (no matter if they are repeated; example: 3 Mix Pairs or 2 Men Four and 1 Women Pair). Competition Programme Qualifications and Finals in all 5 categories. Qualifications (Age Group 1 / Age Group 2 / Junior / Senior): 1 Balance + 1 Dynamic exercise. Qualifications (Youth): 1 Combined exercise (Difficulty is calculated just like in FIG 11-16 Age Group). 2 minutes of maximum duration General Rules: Pairs: choose 2 balance elements from 11-16 difficulty tables + 1 optional element from FIG tables and 2 dynamic elements from 11-16 difficulty tables + 1 optional element from FIG tables (OPTIONAL can be from 11-16 difficulty tables but not the same ROWS used on the compulsory elements). Groups: choose 1 pyramid from 11-16 difficulty tables + 1 optional pyramid from FIG tables (only 2 static holds of 3 are required in the routine) and 2 dynamic elements from 11-16 difficulty tables + 1 optional element from FIG tables (OPTIONAL can be from 11-16 difficulty tables but not the same ROWS used on the compulsory elements).. Individual: 3 individual elements must be executed no matter if is cat1 or cat2 (NO SALTO REQUIRED). Finals: top six or top eight or top twelve of qualifications, depending on the amount of pairs/groups per category (1 to 9 P/G 6 finalists; 10 to 16 P/G 8 finalists; more than 16 P/G 12 finalists) Youth Combined (sum of the two Combined exercises Qualif. + Final defines the winner). Age Group 1 Balance or Dynamic in accordance with FIG rules for 11-16 for the year 2013 (starts from zero). Transport Transfers by bus to and from the Porto Airport or Campanhã (Porto) Train Station to the official hotel, as well as from the official hotel to the training and competition hall will be provided to the delegations that booked their accommodation through the Organizing Committee. The transport schedule is available on the MIAC app (available for download on itunes Store and GooglePlay). The drivers will strictly follow the schedule. Please be on time!!! 10. Accreditation + Tariff sheets & Music Accreditation at: COMPLEXO MUNICIPAL DE GINÁSTICA DA MAIA OC OFFICE Wednesday, 28 February from 8:30 21:00 Thursday, 1 March from 8:30 21:00 The accreditation system identifies individuals participating in the competition and ensures controlled access to each area. All participants and officials are required to wear accreditation cards at all times. At accreditation, the Head of Delegation must check the correct names of their complete delegation, verify accommodation requirements, make the necessary payments (including insurance, if necessary) and hand in the music CDs of the competitors (just one copy for safety). They also have to present the passports of all competitors and judges for control of nationality and age. The definitive competition schedule will be given to the Head of Delegation. The accreditation is personal, non-transferable and compulsory to control access to training and competition hall, functions, official transport, lunches and dinners. Without your accreditation card, you cannot pass the security control and you cannot participate in lunches, dinners, etc. So, if you loose your accreditation card, you will have to buy a new one for the price of 250. Additional accreditations can be requested. The price of 250 per extra accreditation includes lunch and dinner (Wednesday to Sunday), free entry to competition, training and Farewell Party. When all the commitments are fulfilled, all delegation members will receive their accreditations. All participants and officials are required to wear the accreditations at the all times. Delegations will receive accreditation based on nominative entry upon arrival at the Competition Venue. For safety reasons, 1 music CD (for each routine) must be given to the OC upon arrival at accreditation. 11. Orientation Meeting & Judges Meeting The orientation meeting will take place on Thursday, 1 March at 15:30 in the City Hall. This meeting is for Head of Delegation, Team Managers and Coaches. The head of delegation will receive the actual and updated competition plan. The Judges meeting will take place on Thursday, 1 March at 13:45 at the Sports Hall. The judge s meeting is compulsory. Judging orders will be given in advance. 16. Gymnasts Flow Plan Gymnasts will perform facing the Judges Panel and major spectators seats. 17. Opening Ceremony The Opening Ceremony will be on Friday 2 March between the MIAC session 2 and World Cup. No gymnast or coach will be needed. 18. Medal Award Ceremonies The MIAC 18 is a competition with more than 3.300 in Prize Money Awards. All medallists are requested to participate in Medal Award Ceremonies. They are requested to appear in competition attire. Top 3 will receive medals. There will be a Team Competition (Youth, Age Group 1, Age Group 2, Junior and Senior). There will be PRIZE MONEY for the Senior Competition as following: 1 st place 100 EUR (for each partner of the Pair/Group) 2 nd place 75 EUR (for each partner of the Pair/Group) 3 rd place 50 EUR (for each partner of the Pair/Group) For be eligible to Prize Money Award, P/G must perform scores equal or above 76,500 (Balance + Dynamic + Combined). A Special Prize Money Award will be given to the best Balance and Dynamic routines (sum of the Balance and Dynamic overall marks): 150 EUR (for the Pair/Group). Also a Special Prize Money Award will be given to the higher difficulty in Competition when exceeds 1,50 for Balance and Dynamic routines: 150 EUR (for the Pair/Group). 19. Farewell Party A farewell party will be organized and will be followed by disco and dance. All delegations that have booked their accommodation with the OC are invited to participate without additional payment. Extra tickets will be available at the OC office at 30 Euro per person. Requests for extra tickets must be made, at the very latest, by Sunday morning, 4 th of March. Delegations will go directly from the competition venue to the banquet / farewell party. 20. Insurance All delegations are responsible for having the necessary coverage against accidents and illness. The OC will verify the certificates of insurance of all delegation members upon arrival at accreditation. All accredited persons who cannot provide proof of adequate insurance coverage must buy an insurance package for 40 Euro a person, offered by the OC in order to be accredited. 21. Media & Media Conferences Media representatives (journalists, photographers, TV) must request a special accreditation from the OC. Please contact the OC as soon as possible (piqueiro@gmail.com). 22. National Flag and Anthem Please bring a National Flag and the National Anthem to deliver upon arrival on Accreditation. 23. Seating for Delegations A special area with more than 800 seats will be reserved for the delegations in the competition area. Please note that all delegations members must sit in this designated area. 24. MAIA FIG Acro World Cup Connection The MIAC 18 is held in close connection with the Maia FIG Acro World Cup 2018. Some buses will be strictly allocated to the World Cup competition in some special periods. These buses will be clearly identifiable. It is strictly forbidden to enter the Warm-Up Area during the World Cup Competition periods (even during the World Cup warm-ups). Delegations must use the special seats available to watch the competitions. Please warn all the delegation members.
