World Class Support At the Dirty Kanza Training Camp you will get best in the business support on all fronts. And it starts just as soon as you arrive. The rock star treatment isn t reserved just for Dirty Kanza weekend. We will be taking all the pressure off of you so you can focus on riding and absorbing all the knowledge! Ride Guides We don t just promote this stuff, we also live it. The entire DK Promotions Team will be on hand to guide you through the rough gravel roads of the Flint Hills. We ride these roads nearly every day and know what it takes to survive them. But, just for good measure, we ve invited Yuri Hauswald (former Dirty Kanza 200 Champion), Dan Hughes (4x King of Kanza), and Salsa s very own long distance Gurus, Jay Petervary and Andrea Cohen for additional instruction. From fitness tips to bike handling pointers, we are all prepared to shepherd you through the hills, wind and flint rock! Pro Mechanical Support Hand your bike off to our mechanics just as soon as you get here. Very few know bikes better. Our mechanics will make sure your bike is fine tuned and ready to roll. Go ahead and leave it at the Dirty Kanza Headquarters (DKHQ) to avoid the hassle of dragging it back and forth each day from your hotel. These guys will go through your bike after every ride to make sure you are running smoothly all weekend. In addition to tending the stable, they will also be keeping you moving by offering SAG support during the rides. We d hate for a mechanical to derail your training, but be warned, you won t be privy to such luxuries at Dirty Kanza as support is not allowed on course during the race. Nutritional Support We ve got you covered on the road with expert guides and the best mechanics around. The only thing left is to have you fueled properly. GU Energy will be providing the nutritional support. Their line of Roctane products will have you staying fueled and hydrated for the long haul. Sponsor SWAG We want to make sure you have the best. So, just for registering and joining us for camp we will have plenty of sweet SWAG from sponsors like GU Energy and Chamois Butt r as well as local discounts and more! What a race. The course was unbelievable. We were riding through open cattle range on the rockiest roads I have ever seen. After that we hit the mother of all downhills. It was a rock road littered with even bigger rocks and there was a good sized ditch down the left side. That was the scariest ride of my life. This was one of the best races I ve ever been to. It was well worth the 12-hour drive. -Dave Simmons, Grand Forks, ND Follow us on FB and Twitter!
World Class Support Training Tracks There is a big difference between the Dirty Kanza 200 and the Dirty Kanza 100, namely 100 miles! That s why we will be offering 2 separate training tracks for both the DK200 and DK100 participants. Either way, you ll get plenty of mileage to fine tune and prep for your respective events. Prepping for a different gravel event? Our training camp is ideal for anyone with spring or summer gravel goals! Knowledge It takes more then fitness alone to carry you across 100 or 200 miles of the Flint Hills. This rugged, remote terrain will throw it s best at you and test all your cycling skills. Therefore we ve devised 3 key educational talks to help sharpen your resolve. You ll have an opportunity to learn about bike preparation and map reading, nutrition and training, and our ever so popular on the fly mechanical fixes lecture. Payment & Cancellation Policy $799 ($199 deposit due upon sign up to secure your spot) Remaining balance ($600) is due 30 days prior to first day of camp. Deposit is non-refundable No refunds will be issued within 30 days of camp What you have there in Emporia, the incredible race, the people who organize this thing and the people of Emporia themselves is something magical. I ve been to tons of races and sporting events over the years but Dirty Kanza beats them all hands down. Keep doing what you are doing. I ll be back. Jenny Wise-Cook, Gardner, KS
