OUR VISION To be Middle Tennessee s premier developmental soccer league. Offering players the opportunity to compete in their communities while promoting the values of sportsmanship, inclusivity, effort, respect, and teamwork with a focus on maintaining healthy lifestyles and relationships. The YMCA of Middle Tennessee is committed to providing players with a positive playing experience. Through leadership at the YMCA, volunteer coaches as positive role models, and parents/families providing positive and continuous support, YMCA soccer is a platform for players to improve their game within a competitive AND recreational environment and foster a lifelong pursuit of health.

PRE-SEASON RESPONSIBILITIES Volunteer Application (Applies to All Coaches) Coaches Online Training (send copy to Area Coordinator) Background Check (ASURINT) Protects coaches, parents and players MUST be completed and processed prior to 1 st practice Call All Families Introduce yourself Inform them of practice location (field #) and times Ask them to bring a soccer ball, appropriate clothing and a water bottle to practice Pick TEAM NAME after 1 st Practice If numbers/e-mails do not work, contact Area Coordinator Conduct a Parent Meeting Review your goals/expectations for the season Attendance Updated Contact Information Offer volunteer opportunities (Assistant Coaches, Team Parents, Snacks) Enjoy Your Practice!

GAME DAY EXPECTATIONS Treatment of Officials Actions effect your players Be respectful, despite your opinion Remember they are NOT professionals Expect some things to be missed Role model positive interaction to your players Never openly criticize a referee Do not blame a win or loss on a referee Communicate with on-site YMCA staff or Sports Office Officials & YMCA have final say/authority Parents, Fan, Spectators Help us create a positive environment Game Schedules/Cancellations Teams are given a 10 minute warm up on field prior to the scheduled game time (UNLESS GAMES ARE RUNNING BEHIND) Arrive on time, Clock starts at time listed on your schedule Weather Cancelation Procedures
