1. LDBA S PURPOSE Lee District Basketball Assciatin, Inc. LDBA PROGRAM GUIDE The Lee District Basketball Assciatin Inc. (LDBA) is established t prvide the yuth f the Lee District cmmunity and surrunding areas, a basketball prgram that ensures a balanced blend f sprtsmanship, recreatin, skills develpment, cmpetitive activity, and enjyment f the game. 2. OVERVIEW OF LDBA PROGRAMS Basketball prgrams. LDBA ffers multiple basketball prgrams. The Little Ballers prgram is fr bys and girls ages five (5) and six (6). The Huse Recreatinal (Rec.) prgram is fr girls ages seven (7) thrugh fifteen (15) and bys ages seven (7) thrugh eighteen (18) wh are beginners t advanced basketball players. Girls ages fifteen (15) thrugh eighteen (18) may participate in LDBA s Yung Men s Divisin fr fifteen (15) thrugh eighteen (18) year-ld bys with a special waiver frm the LDBA Vice President r Club Administratr. The LDBA Cmpetitive/Travel Select prgram is fr bys and girls wh are mre advanced players in 5 th thrugh 12 th grades. Mst LDBA practices fr all prgrams and games fr the Little Ballers sessins and the Huse Rec. prgram ccur at Fairfax Cunty public schl gyms lcated generally within the highlighted area shwn n the map t the right. This area is in sutheast Fairfax Cunty, Virginia, and is rughly encircled by the fllwing rads: I-495 in the nrth, US 1 in the east and suth, and Fairfax Cunty Parkway and I-95 in the west. Sme LDBA activities may ccur near, but utside this area. Althugh LDBA Cmpetitive/Travel Select teams hld mst practices in this general area, they will play games bth in and beynd this area. Little Ballers Prgram Ages: Bys and girls ages five (5) and six (6) (age as f Octber 1 f the current year) Purpse: Begin t teach fundamental skills and cncepts f team basketball and sprtsmanship t prepare children fr success in basketball and beynd in subsequent age grups. Frmat: Sprts sessins in a clinic type envirnment. Instructrs will teach players fundamental skills and cncepts f basketball and have them perfrm what they have learned in a mini half curt games at the end f the seasn. Seasns: Winter: Seasn timeframe: January t February. Meetings: Meets nce a week (rutinely n Saturday mrnings). Spring: Seasn timeframe: Late April t early June. Meetings: Once a week (rutinely n a weeknight). Registratin: Registratin is typically ne t tw mnths prir t each seasn. Huse Recreatinal (Rec.) Prgram Ages. Girls ages seven (7) thrugh fifteen (15) and bys ages seven (7) thrugh eighteen (18). Purpse. Develp fundamental basketball skills, understanding f team play, and sprtsmanship fr beginner t advanced players in a cmpetitive recreatinal envirnment. Assessments. Each seasn f the Huse Rec. prgram has a player s skill assessment ne (1) t tw (2) weeks befre practices begin. During the assessment, LDBA persnnel will evaluate each player within an age grup as they perfrm varius basketball skills (e.g., run, dribble, sht, play as a member f a team in a shrt basketball game). The League will use infrmatin frm assessments t attempt t create equally talented teams within each age grup divisin. The result is intended t be cmpetitive games between equally matched teams fr the develpment and excitement f all yuth invlved. All players will be placed n a team where LDBA persnnel believe the player will be successful. Fr mre infrmatin n assessments, see the LDBA Assessment and Draft Prcedures rules. Meetings (practices and games): During all seasns f the Huse Rec. prgram, players can generally expect t meet twice a week. Befre games begin fr any given seasn, teams will usually have tw (2) practices per week. Once games begin, teams will usually have ne (1) practice and ne (1) game per week. Practices are 1.5 hurs in length and are held n weeknights. Games fr the Winter Seasn can be bth weekends and weekends. Games fr the Spring and Fall Seasns are weeknights nly. Playing time. All players (except with the yung men s divisin fr 15 18 year ld bys), regardless f skill, will generally play at least half f each game. Exceptins t this rule, subject t League apprval, are made fr disciplinary issues r fr players missing practice(s). Exceptins will als be made during situatinal times, like if the games belngs lpsided. Seasns: Winter (primary seasn): Seasn timeframe: Nvember t the beginning f March. The seasn pauses fr public schl winter breaks. Meetings: Practices are usually n weekday evenings. Games usually ccur n Saturdays r weekday evenings. Spring: Seasn timeframe: April t early June. Meetings: All practices and games are held n weekday evenings, usually Mnday thrugh Thursday. Fall: Page 4 f 46

Registratin: Registratin is typically ne t tw mnths prir t each seasn. LDBA Cmpetitive/Travel Select Prgram Overview Overview: Fr players f exceptinal ability/skill, LDBA spnsrs varius LDBA cmpetitive teams t cmpete in the varius leagues/turnaments, which has included Fairfax Cunty Yuth Basketball League (FCYBL). Participatin in LDBA Cmpetitive teams requires mre time and travel than LDBA s Huse Rec. prgram, and players try ut fr these teams. The main cmpetitive seasn is Spring and Summer fr these teams, but there are sme ptins fr winter. In 2018, LDBA will be lking t restructure this prgram t keep up with the changing envirnment and prgrams. LDBA is partnered with anther rganizatin called The Machine. Ages: Bys and girls in 5 th thrugh 12 th grades. Purpse: T further develp advanced basketball players thrugh higher levels f cmpetitin and preparatin with ther players f advanced skill. Preparatin fr high schl and beynd. Tryuts. Each team will have tryuts befre a given seasn and befre the Huse Rec. prgram s assessments. Nt all players wh try ut will be selected fr the cmpetitive teams. Hwever, any player wh registers and is nt selected fr a cmpetitive team will autmatically be registered fr the Huse Rec. prgram. Meetings (practices and games): Usually tw (2) practices and ne (1) t tw (2) games per week. Mst games are played n Saturdays and Sundays. Hwever, sme games are als played during the week during the Winter seasn. Spring and Summer schedule are based n the cmpetitive caches gals and bjectives. Lcatin f practices and games. All practices will be held in lcal public elementary and middle schls. Hwever, games range frm lcal schls t as far as Gainesville, Virginia, in the west r McLean, Virginia, in the nrth. Playing time. Unlike the Huse Rec. prgram, there is n minimum playing time requirement. Playing time fr any given player is cmpletely up t the respective cach and is earned by the players. Fr questins abut playing time, please ask the respective cach. LDBA s cmpetitive caches will g ver the team gals, bjectives and apprach at the beginning f the seasn. Seasns: Winter Seasn timeframe: Octber t March. The seasn pauses fr public schl winter breaks. 4. PERSONNEL Lee District Basketball Assciatin, Inc. Respnsible fr activities invlved with the day t day peratins. Overall respnsible fr the develpment and leadership f the League t include all prgrams. Act as the liaisn between the Bard f Directrs and the participants (including vlunteers). Act as the liaisn between the League, the Cunty, and vendrs Assist each bard member as needed. Wrk with the prgram directrs t recruit and assign Age Grup Crdinatrs and team caches. In crdinatin with the prgram directrs, Age Grup Crdinatrs, and caches, facilitate infrmatin disseminatin fr LDBA activities and issues fr all LDBA participants. Issue reslutin. In crdinatin with the prgram directrs, serve as the final single pint f cntact fr issue reslutin fr Age Grup Crdinatrs and caches, shrt f taking an issue t the Bard f Directrs. Enfrce rules and disciplinary actins as needed. As needed, wrk with the Huse and Select Directrs, Age Grup Crdinatrs, and caches t plan and execute preseasn assessments fr the Huse Rec. prgram and tryuts fr the Select prgram. As needed, wrk with the Cunty, as well as the Huse and Select Directrs, Age Grup Crdinatrs, and caches t gain, allcate, and supervise the use f gym space fr LDBA activities. Huse Rec. prgram rster adjustments. As needed, wrk with the Huse Directr, Age Grup Crdinatrs, and caches in planning and executing any adjustments t team rsters. See Rule 13.1 fr mre infrmatin and guidelines fr rster adjustments. Wrk with the Referee Crdinatr t help facilitate game cverage t include recruiting, training, scheduling, fficiating, reprting, discipline, and cmpensatin f referees fr LDBA prgrams. Stre the League s equipment, and the rdering f unifrm needs. Serve as Vlunteer Building Directr (VBD) wh is verall respnsible when nsite at a venue. Wrk with the Select Directr t ensure that all persnnel and entities assciated with LDBA cmply with the plicies and rules f any cmpetitive rganizatin that is being participated in including the Fairfax Cunty Yuth Basketball League (FCYBL). Creatin f practice and game schedules fr each seasn. Assist with the planning and executin f any pst-regular seasn activities such as turnaments, allstar games, etc. 4.2 LDBA PRESIDENT Bard member verall respnsible fr LDBA s budget, well-being, betterment, and versight f the day-t-day peratins. Plan, crdinate, and lead Bard Meetings. Cmply with all regulatins assciated with the State and IRS status. Page 7 f 46

Wrk with Bard members and Club Administratr fr issue reslutin. 4.3 LDBA VICE PRESIDENT Bard member wh assists and serves in the LDBA President s absence in all respnsibilities f the LDBA President. Wrk directly with Secretary and Treasurer. First pint f cntact fr the Huse, Select, and Parent Liaisn Directrs. 4.4 LDBA SECRETARY Recrd meeting minutes as apprpriate. Wrk with vlunteers and ther representatives t gain and maintain apprpriate dcumentatins fr the League. Wrk with the Club Administratr t stre all required Cunty and State dcuments. In crdinatin with the Club Administratr, send ut e-mails t facilitate infrmatin disseminatin t LDBA participants. As needed, assist and serve as a back-up fr the Referee Crdinatr. Review dcuments and budget infrmatin as necessary. Lead LDBA marketing fr fund-raising effrts and activities. 4.5 LDBA TREASURER Bard member wh, in accrdance with guidance frm the Club Administratr and President, is respnsible fr the planning, crdinatin, tracking, reprting, and day-t-day peratins related t the LDBA budget. Cmply with all regulatins assciated with the State and IRS status. 4.6 DIRECTOR OF HOUSE RECREATIONAL PROGRAM (HOUSE DIRECTOR) Bard member respnsible fr the develpment and leadership f the Huse Recreatinal (Rec.) prgram. Plan and crdinate fr the recruitment, selectin, and training f Age Grup Crdinatrs and caches fr the Huse Rec. prgram. Wrk with all Huse Rec. caches in cmmunicatin t players, parents and Huse caches themselves. Wrk with the Club Administratr, Age Grup Crdinatrs, and caches t plan and execute preseasn assessments fr the Huse Rec. prgram. Address disputes as needed. Enfrce rules and disciplinary actins as needed. Meet with Age Grup Crdinatrs and caches prir t the seasn t discuss LDBA philsphy, rganizatin, Cde f Cnduct, and expectatins and plans fr seasn. Wrk with Age Grup Crdinatrs t crdinate scheduling f practices, games, turnaments, and any ther LDBA activities. Crdinate fr the prvisin and return f league equipment as necessary (e.g., basketballs and jerseys fr teams and game clck and any first aid equipment fr games). Respnsibilities f the Select Directr fr the Cmpetitive prgram generally crrespnd t the Huse Directr s respnsibilities fr the Huse Rec. prgram. Plan, crdinate, and take actin as needed t ensure that all persnnel and grups assciated with LDBA cmply with the plicies and rules f the varius cmpetitive rganizatins being participated in t include Fairfax Cunty Yuth Basketball League (FCYBL). Select tw caches t serve as primary and alternate LDBA representatives fr FCYBL Cuncil meetings and infrm League administratin f key infrmatin. 4.8 PARENT LIAISON DIRECTOR Bard member wh wrks with Huse Directr, Age Grup Crdinatrs, caches, and parents t prevent, mitigate, and address any issues with parents. Prvide a direct line f cmmunicatin between parents and the Bard f Directrs. Serve as first level f cntact fr Age Grup Crdinatrs with parent issues. Ensure all referees are apprpriately cmpensated fr their services in a timely manner. 4.11 AGE GROUP COORDINATORS Designatin. Age Grup Crdinatrs are generally selected frm the caches serving in a respective LDBA age grup (divisin). An Age Grup Crdinatr shuld exemplify the traits and qualificatins desired frm an LDBA head cach. Prir experience as an LDBA cach is preferable. Respnsibilities. Assist with the preseasn assessment f league players fr assigned divisin. Prepare practice and game schedules with assigned gym spaces fr the respective divisin. Submit thse schedules t the Huse Directr r Club Administratr fr publicatin. Cllect Cde f Cnduct Team Agreement frms frm head caches by the required dates in electrnic and/r hard cpy frm and submit them t the Huse r Parent Liaisn Directrs. Rster adjustments. As needed, crdinate with caches and the Club Administratr t make any adjustments t team rsters. See Rule 13.1 fr mre infrmatin and guidelines fr rster adjustments. Ntify each cach f changes in practice and game schedules t include thse due t unavailability f facilities (e.g., due t inclement weather/schl clsing). Caches are determined by the Bard f Directrs in cnjunctin with the Age Grup Crdinatrs frm the adults wh vlunteer t dnate their time and effrt t fster the purpse and ideals f LDBA. Order f Precedence fr Selectin f Caches. Cnsistent with the bjectives f the League, team caches will be selected n the basis f merit, cperative spirit, and the welfare f the players, as well as their adherence t the LDBA purpse. Adherence t intent f rules. If a cach (head r assistant) is thught t be abusing r manipulating any LDBA rules fr persnal gain, he/she may be suspended r asked t step dwn frm their psitin. These situatins will be reviewed n a case-by-case basis and can be carried ver t future seasn(s). Dress cde. Caches represent the cmmunity and LDBA directly. Caches wh have been prvided a caching shirt by LDBA are expected t wear this shirt while attending LDBA games. If the cach cannt wear the caching shirt then anther cllared shirt must be wrn. The cach s dress shuld be cnsidered business casual. N hats are t be wrn. N excessive jewelry that culd give the perceptin f a less-than-desirable image will be wrn. Take yur example fr yur appearance frm high schl caches. This applies t bth the Huse and the Cmpetitive prgrams. Respnsibilities. Caches are expected t cntribute tward the physical, mental, and emtinal grwth f each player n their team, as well as the children within the divisin, and t supprt the LDBA purpse. Caches are respnsible fr the cnduct and administratin f his/her team, which includes its fans/parents. Specific duties include: Prvide leadership apprpriate t the ccasin. Fster teamwrk and sprtsmanship during all LDBA activities. Train players t perfrm the fundamental skills f basketball. Attend caches meeting(s) called by the Age Grup Crdinatr, Huse Directr, r Parent Liaisn Directr. As necessary, pick-up and return league equipment: At the start and end f the seasn (e.g., basketballs and jerseys fr team). Befre the first game and after the last game f the day (e.g., game clck fr games as designated by game schedule). Prvide signed Cde f Cnduct Team Agreement frms and ther applicable frms t Age Grup Crdinatr by the required dates. Organize and as needed, train parents fr team administratin (assistant cach(es), screkeeping, timekeeping, Vlunteer Building Directr duties, etc.). Assure cntrl f players and parents at all times during practices and games. Supervise the safety f players during practice and games. In accrdance with LDBA and Fairfax Cunty Vlunteer Building Directr plicies, reprt all injuries and r prperty damage t the Age Grup Crdinatr and as apprpriate, the Fairfax Cunty Department f Neighbrhd and Cmmunity Services (NCS) within 24 hurs f the event. Bring t the attentin f the Age Grup Crdinatrs any and all situatins that may becme prblems. Reprt any issues with players nt cming t practice r behaviral prblems thrugh yur Age Grup Crdinatr immediately in rder fr the Bard f Directrs t be aware and prvide the necessary supprt when needed. Optins are available t assist in enfrcing the guidelines. But nly when a practive apprach is taken. Caches representing LDBA shuld demnstrate hnestly and integrity at all times. If there are questins r issues, cmmunicate with LDBA s managerial structure practively as necessary. Vilatins can result in suspensin r remval frm any and all LDBA respnsibilities as a cach fr current and/r future activities. Keep discussins away frm the children if necessary and justified. Rster adjustments. As needed, assist LDBA administratin in planning and executing any adjustments t team rsters. See Rule 13.1 fr mre infrmatin and guidelines fr rster adjustments. Other duties might include cmmunicating with players n the bench during the game and keeping r designating smene t keep statistics f the game. 4.14 REFEREES Register thrugh LDBA nline vlunteer registratin. Be familiar with the current NFHS Basketball Rules, as well as LDBA s Official Huse Rec. Rules and plicies. Cmplete all scheduled games. Under nrmal circumstances, ntify the Referee Crdinatr at least 48 hurs in advance r find a qualified replacement if an issue r cnflict arises that wuld prevent the referee frm fficiating a scheduled game. Immediately ntify the Referee Crdinatr and/r the Club Administratr if an issue ccurs befre r during a game that wuld prevent the referee frm cmpleting a scheduled game. In the event f an emergency, referees are t d their best t ntify the Referee Crdinatr r find a stand-in. Regardless, it is pssible fr the referee nt t be cmpensated fr any incmplete games in which they leave r cannt cmplete. Be present in the respective gym and dressed in accrdance with NFHS Basketball standards, with striped shirt tucked in, at least 15 minutes prir t the start f scheduled games. Cnduct a pre-game meeting with the caches befre each game fficiated. This includes intrductins and any preliminary infrmatin necessary. Referees are respnsible fr game administratin and can be held accuntable fr game delays. Keep time-uts and times between perids t standards set in LDBA Official Playing Rules. Keep nn-players ff the curt including between time perids and between games. Only LDBA registered players and LDBA registered vlunteers may be n the curt during LDBA activities. During transitin times between games, help facilitate the clearing f the gym and bench areas fr the next game t avid delays. Referees shuld make themselves available after the games fr the caches and the players t shake their hands. Reprt all incidents, technical r flagrant fuls, and game ejectins t the Referee Crdinatr within 24 hurs f the incident ccurring. Fr any game ejectins, immediate ntificatin is preferred, which may be in the frm f an email r phne call. The reprt shuld prvide sufficient detail t enable League Administratin t understand the incident (e.g., names f referees and caches, date and time f game, names and numbers f the player(s) invlved, summary f pertinent details related t incident, and the actin taken). Payment fr games will be based n the Referee Crdinatr s recrds. If there are discrepancies, LDBA will wrk with the referee t crrect the issue. But the fficial recrds are thse f the Referee Crdinatr. Cmply with the LDBA Cde f Cnduct. LDBA Cde f Cnduct vilatins may result in cmpensatin penalties at the discretin f the LDBA Bard f Directrs. Pre-scheduled games may als be remved frm the referee s schedule if deemed apprpriate by the Referee Crdinatr. 5. FINANCIAL The LDBA is a nt-fr-prfit rganizatin financed thrugh the prceeds f player registratins, individual dnatins, and limited fund-raising activities as apprved by the Bard f Directrs. Expenditures generally cnsist f equipment (basketballs, player jerseys, caching shirts, game clcks, first aid kits, etc.), salaried psitins, gymnasium usage fees, referee fees, Cunty applicatin fees, State cmmissin fees, IRS fees, league fees, awards, schlarship assistance, sftware necessary t supprt the League, website maintenance, legal and financial retainers, ther administrative csts, and gymnasium upgrades. Refunds. LDBA des nt have a Refund Plicy. Refund requests. Refund requests received are evaluated n a case-by-case basis. Refund fee. If refund requests are granted, the majrity will be fr a credit fr a future seasn, t be determined by the Bard f Directrs. On the rare ccasins that a mnetary refund is given, these refunds will be subject t a fee determined by the Bard f Directrs that is assciated with the vendr administrative fees the League must cver when mnetary refunds are issued. The date a written refund request is received is a determining factr that is cnsidered. Deadline fr refund requests. N refunds will be cnsidered nce the Assessments nights fr any seasn has been reached. Cmpetitive team. If yur player wishes t try ut fr an LDBA Cmpetitive team and is nt selected fr a team, the player will be autmatically placed n an LDBA Huse Rec. team. If yu chse nt t remain in the Huse Rec. prgram, any refund will be subject t a $30.00 Withdrawal Fee autmatically. Schlarships. LDBA participates in Fairfax Cunty s Yuth Sprts Schlarship Prgram fr eligible yuth. Eligible players are enrlled thrugh pen and nline registratins with girls ages five (5) t fifteen (15) and bys ages five (5) t eighteen (18). LDBA will annunce lcatins and times fr registratin by any methds necessary (LDBA website, email, signs, flyers). Registratins must be received n time, r if mailed, pstmarked n later than the identified cut-ff t ensure placement n a team. Late and walk-in registratins are an ptin. But late fees may apply and may nly be accepted t fill ut available rster space (e.g., t allw all teams within an age gruping the same number f players). Waiting list. A waiting list will be taken in all age divisins in case f drputs r injuries. Page 14 f 46

Players within LDBA cannt be rstered n an LDBA Huse and an LDBA Cmpetitive team simultaneusly unless specifically apprved by the Club Administratr, LDBA President, r Cmpetitive Directr. In cases f allwance, the pririty will be the LDBA Huse Rec. games and practices. Players wh are rstered n a High Schl team r a Nn-LDBA Cmpetitive team are cnsidered ineligible and cannt be rstered n an LDBA Huse r Cmpetitive team. The rules are nt fr adults t manipulate r interpret fr their wn advantage, r t use in catching the ppsing team in a rule vilatin. Any interpretatin f these rules r decisins by League fficials shall be made with that purpse in mind. Anyne attempting t negate the intent f these rules and/r plicy f the LDBA may be denied membership t LDBA and the right t participate in LDBA prgrams. 8. APPLICABILITY The LDBA Official Playing Rules are applicable t and binding upn all parents, players, caches, and League fficials f LDBA and shall be bserved at all games and ther functins sanctined by the League withut exceptin. 9. RULE ADMINISTRATION The LDBA Official Playing Rules are apprved by the LDBA Bard f Directrs. Once apprved, the rules remain in effect until superseded with new rules r annulled by the Bard f Directrs. A cpy f the rules is available n the LDBA website. All caches shuld have a cpy f the rules (hard cpy r electrnic) with them at all LDBA activities. Caches, Referees, and Age Grup Crdinatrs are encuraged t prpse changes t the Bard f Directrs. The Bard f Directrs will vte n any rule changes prir t a given seasn. All apprved changes will be incrprated int the LDBA Official Playing Rules and made available t everyne prir t the start f a given seasn. 10. AGE GROUPINGS 10.1 Age grups within the Huse Rec. prgram are based n the results f the annual registratin and shall frm playing divisins. Althugh mdificatins may be made based n registratin numbers fr a given seasn, age grupings fr the Huse Rec. prgram typically include: 10.1.1 Ced age divisins: 7/8, 9/10, 11/12, and 13/14. 10.1.2 Bys 15/18, Yung Men s divisin. The 15/18 divisin is primarily fr yung men. Yung ladies, ages fifteen (15) t eighteen (18) may nly participate in the Yung Men s divisin (fr ages 15-18) by special waiver frm the LDBA Vice President r Club Administratr. 10.1.3 Girls age divisins (when registratin numbers allw): 7/8 r 7/9 r 7/10 and 11/15 r 12/15. 10.2 Date f birth cut-ff fr age grups. The primary basketball seasn fr the LDBA Huse Rec. prgram is the winter seasn. The fall seasn f curse precedes the winter seasn and the spring seasn is cnsidered an extensin f the winter seasn. Therefre, all players will participate in divisins accrding t their age as f the fllwing cut-ff dates: 10.2.1 Fall seasn: September 30 th f the current year. 10.2.2 Winter seasn: September 30 th f the current year (year f registratin). 10.2.3 Spring seasn: September 30 th f the previus year. Cntact the Age Grup Crdinatr fr the age grup they are requesting t play in. Cntact the Huse Crdinatr, Club Administratr, and/r Parent Liaisn Directr. 10.3.2 LDBA will cnsider requests fr a player t play in an age grup higher ( playing up ) r lwer ( playing dwn ) than the ne impsed by these guidelines fr special circumstances n a case-by-case basis. LDBA will cnsider the effect f granting such requests based n the anticipated effect n the player, the player s family, ther players in the League, and the League verall. 10.3.2.1 Playing up. LDBA may cnsider requests fr playing up fr players f advanced talent and maturity fr their age wh will excel while playing with a higher age grup. 10.3.2.2 Playing dwn (within the Huse Rec. prgram nly). LDBA may cnsider requests fr playing dwn. Nrmally, "playing dwn" is reserved fr physically r mentally challenged players (but nt exclusively). 10.3.3 Assessments. Players requesting an exceptin t play up r dwn may be required t participate in assessments fr bth, the age grup these guidelines place them in, and the age grup in which they are requesting t play. Prgram Overview sectin and/r Rule 11, LDBA Assessment and Draft Prcedures. 10.4 Each age gruping will have ne Age Grup Crdinatr assigned specifically fr the winter seasn. Age Grup Crdinatrs may exist in the spring and fall, but d nt have t. The Club Administratr will serve as the crdinatr alng with a Directr. 10.5 See Sectin 6, Registratin, fr ther plicies n participating in an LDBA Huse Rec. prgram divisin. 11. LDBA ASSESSMENTS AND DRAFT PROCEDURES 11.1 Intent. The intent f LDBA assessments (and draft when used) is t create equally talented teams within each age grup divisin. The result is intended t be cmpetitive games between equally matched teams fr the develpment and excitement f all yuth invlved. 11.2 Blind draft. LDBA uses a blind draft system. The blind draft fllws the same principles as belw with the exceptin that caches are given a team t cach instead f participating in the draft. This blind draft prcess will be fllwed until the Bard f Directrs vtes therwise. This sectin has remained in the fficial rules s that all can understand the guidelines that are traditinally fllwed. 11.3 Assessments. 11.3.1 Assessments will be cnducted separately fr each age grup f the Huse Rec. Prgram. 11.3.2 Caches sns/daughters are required t attend the assessment nights. 11.3.3 Rankings. The Assessment/Draft Cmmittee will rank players n a scale frm ne (1) t five (5) with five (5) being assigned t players wh a team culd be built arund and ne (1) being Page 17 f 46

Rankings between whle numbers are allwed nly t the.5, pints. 11.3.4 Members f the Assessment/Draft Cmmittee will rank players cnsistently and prvide tally sheets. The Club Administratr will ttal the scres per player and prvide the ttals back t the Age Grup Crdinatrs. If the League uses a blind draft, these numbers will be used t create the teams. If the League uses a draft with participatin frm caches, this serves tw purpses: Deciding in which rund a cach's sn/daughter wuld have been picked and thus in which rund that cach will sit ut. Allwing fr a fair and unbiased draft. 11.4 Draft Prcedures. (Only when nt cnducting the Blind Draft) 11.4.1 Uneven number f players per team. If there are an uneven number f players in the pl necessitating that sme teams play with an additinal member, a separate rund will be inserted at that time. Fr example, if there are three (3) teams that will have an additinal player, then thse teams will draft their additinal players in a special final rund with all remaining players eligible. Caches wh want the additinal player can vlunteer t d s and get this special rund draft pick. If nt enugh cach s vlunteer, the additinal players will be determined by a blind draw. 11.4.2 Draft rder. Drafting rder will be determined by a blind draw. The team with the first pick in the first rund will have the last pick in the secnd rund, the first pick in the third rund and the last pick in the furth rund, etc. Fr example, in a divisin with ten (10) teams, the team with the first pick wuld have picks 1, 20, 21 and 40. 11.4.3 Only head caches are allwed t attend the draft. N assistant caches r children are allwed. Stand-ins can attend in place f a head cach. Hwever, the head cach must infrm the apprpriate Age Grup Crdinatr and Huse Directr f the stand-in 48 hurs in advance f the draft. If this ntificatin des nt ccur, then the team will be blind drafted by the League using the highest ranked player still available n the bard. 11.4.4 Any cach/assistant cach attempting t manipulate prcedures fr persnal gain can be asked t step dwn and/r be discharged frm the League. This is at the discretin f the Bard f Directrs. 12. UNIFORM AND EQUIPMENT 12.1 Unifrm and Apparel applicable t bth games AND practices. 12.1.1 Shes. This includes referees. 12.2.4 All players will wear black shrts r pants withut pckets. Pckets can becme a safety issue and a distractin. 12.2.5 In accrdance with NFHS rules, the hme team will wear white jerseys (if teams are given reversible jerseys r mre than ne jersey, with ne f the sides/jerseys being white). 12.3 Fr any vilatins f the rules n the game unifrm (Rules 12.1 and 12.2), referees will issue warnings t teams fr their first ffense and reprt the vilatin(s) t the Referee Crdinatr. This is an apprximate prcedure and plicy LDBA will fllw. 13.2 Fairfax Cunty Schl Facilities (Usage f and expected cnduct). 13.2.1 LDBA games are cnducted in Fairfax Cunty Public Schl facilities. A Vlunteer Building Directr (VBD) is in charge f enfrcing the guidelines set frth by the Cunty and schl facility. He r she will interpret and enfrce all rules and regulatins f the Fairfax Cunty Department f Neighbrhd and Cmmunity Services (NCS) and supplemental rules established by LDBA pertaining t the use f the facilities. Failure t cmply with these rules and regulatins may result in suspensin r expulsin frm Fairfax Cunty Schl grunds and/r LDBA spnsred events. 13.2.2 Games will nt be played when Fairfax Cunty Schls are clsed fr the day r clsed early because f inclement weather, ther emergencies, r when games interfere with schl functins. Such games may r may nt be rescheduled. If in dubt, call the Fairfax Cunty Htline at 703-324-5264 r the FCPS website, including its emergency annuncements page. 13.2.3 Gyms shuld pen fifteen (15) minutes befre the first game time. 13.2.4 Only LDBA registered players and LDBA registered vlunteers may be n the curt during LDBA activities. 13.2.5 Teams waiting t play the next game shuld be seated in the stands whenever pssible r in ne crner f the gym if the stands are full. N basketballs are permitted in the gym befre, during, r after games, with the exceptin f basketballs in the pssessin f caches necessary fr warm-up and play f League games. N shting at the baskets will be permitted during time-uts r intermissins fr nn-players f the current game. Befre and during half time f each game, nly the teams warming up fr that game shuld be shting at the baskets. 13.2.6 N Fd r Drink Plicy. NO fd r drinks f any kind, ther than water are permitted in the schl/gyms by anyne. Any cach, player, player s parent, r guest wh vilates this rule culd be asked t leave the facility r culd result in the player being remved frm the team and will receive n refund f fees. Please refer t the LDBA Cde f Cnduct fr additinal specifics. The exceptin t this is Mark Twain Middle Schl fr weekend games. N sda is allwed in any gym regardless f the exceptin. LDBA has been lse n this rule because ur rganizatin has cleaned up after themselves, but if this becme an issue, this will be strictly enfrced. 13.3 Player supervisin at LDBA activities. 13.3.1 Parents will nt leave their player with the cach withut a parent r guardian present during a practice, game, r ther LDBA activity unless: 13.3.1.1 The cach gives the parent(s) permissin t d s. 13.3.1.2 The parent(s) prvide a cmpleted and signed medical release frm fr their cach(es). 13.3.2 Players shuld nt leave the gyms after their game r practice unless accmpanied by a parent, guardian, r cach. Parent shuld just drp-ff their children. Children shuld be escrted int the gym area t ensure that the cach r identified team representative is present. 13.4 Game Administratin Lee District Basketball Assciatin, Inc. 13.4.1 Games shall be played in accrdance with the current Natinal Federatin f State High Schl Assciatins (NFHS) Basketball Rules Bk. Any exceptins are specifically stated herein. 13.4.2 See Rule 12, (Unifrm and Equipment) fr infrmatin n basketball size, unifrm, and apparel t include rules n eyeglasses, jewelry, items t cntrl hair, and ther related tpics. 13.4.3 Referees sub-cntracted by LDBA will be assigned t fficiate each game. Referees shuld arrive fifteen (15) minutes befre the scheduled game. In the event that n referee appears within fifteen (15) minutes after the scheduled game time, r after terminatin f the preceding game, whichever is later, the game shuld begin as sn as pssible with vlunteer referee(s) agreed t by the ppsing caches. The results f the game will be fficial. The caches shuld infrm their respective Age Grup Crdinatr abut the absent referee(s) as sn as pssible. Once a sub-cntracted referee des arrive, the game is t be turned ver t them. Once a League sanctined game begins, the fficials have ttal respnsibility fr the game administratin, including player, cach, and spectatr behavir. 13.4.4 Screkeeping and timekeeping. 13.4.4.1 The hme team shall prvide an fficial screkeeper and the visiting team will prvide an fficial timekeeper. Parents r ther vlunteers, age sixteen (16) r abve will fill these psitins. 13.4.4.2 It is the respnsibility f each cach t prvide and train individuals t perfrm these duties. Caches will ntify these vlunteers f the player participatin rules prir t each game 13.4.4.3 The fficial screbk is the FINAL authrity. 13.4.4.4 The fficials shall assist the fficial screkeeper and fficial timekeeper during the games as much as pssible. Vlunteer screkeepers and timekeepers are encuraged t slicit help frm the fficials t reslve disputes, with the exceptin f player participatin. Referees may verrule the screkeeper and timekeeper nly within the guidelines established in the current NFHS Basketball Rules Bk. It is nt within the purview f the referees t cmment n adherence f the player participatin rules. 13.4.4.5 See the Quick Reference Guide fr Screkeepers and Timekeepers within this guide fr help n hw t keep the screbk and game clck. 13.4.5 Fr all age grups, the head cach is the nly persn permitted t stand at their bench during games fr the purpse f prviding instructin t their players. If a cach receives a technical ful, they have lst their cach s bx privilege and must remain seated the rest f the game. 13.4.6 Parents/Fans/Spectatrs need t sit in the area designated fr spectatrs. N ne ther than the team players, caches, referees, r fficials are permitted sit n r within ten (10) feet f the bench during a game. The ideal situatin is that parents/fans/spectatrs sit n the ppsite side as the player s bench. 13.4.7 At the discretin f the fficials, parents/fans/spectatrs caching frm any part f the flr may be asked t g back t the stands r leave the gym. 13.4.8 Officials can give a warning t caches fr spectatrs r players wh verbally abuse r disrespectfully questin the calls f the game fficials. If deemed apprpriate, the fficials will put ne minute n the clck and instruct the cach t have the ffender leave the gym r the game will stp and the ffending team will frfeit the game. Page 21 f 46

Lee District Basketball Assciatin, Inc. 13.4.9 Time between games and perids. The minimum times fficials will give teams befre games and between perids, under nrmal circumstances, are listed belw. The fficials will prvide these minimum times unless the game(s) are running behind schedule. If the schedule is running behind, the fficials may use any means necessary t get back n schedule r t minimize the effects (e.g., shrten times given between games and/r between perids and/r use a running clck during games). 13.4.9.1 Befre/between games: Minimum f three (3) minutes fr warm-ups, etc. 13.4.9.2 Between halves: Minimum f three (3) minutes. 13.4.9.3 Between quarters (if applicable): One (1) minute. 13.4.10 A game will be declared frfeited when: A team is nt ready t play within ten (10) minutes after the scheduled game time r after terminatin f a prceeding game whichever time is the latest. A team des nt have a minimum f fur (4) participating players present wh are capable f playing t start a game. A team plays a nn-rstered/nn registered player. A team fails t cmply with the player participatin rules and this is reprted fr review. 13.4.11 Games may nt be rescheduled fr any reasn, except by the LDBA President, Huse Directr r Club Administratr. The Huse Directr must crdinate with the Club Administratr in advance f the reschedule. 13.4.12 Time-uts. Teams will receive tw (2) full (1 minute) time-uts and tw (2) half (30 secnd) timeuts. An additinal ne (1) full time-ut will be awarded in each vertime perid. Unused time-uts may nt be carried ver t vertime. 13.4.13 Overtime perids. Each vertime perid in the LDBA Huse Rec. prgram will be three (3) minutes fr all age grups. The fllwing describes hw many vertime perids may ccur: 13.4.13.1 Regular seasn, where seed determinatin is NOT an issue: One (1) vertime perid. If at the end f the single vertime perid, the scre is still tied, the game will be declared a tie. 13.4.13.2 Regular seasn, where seed determinatin IS an issue: Tw (2) vertime perids. If at the end f the secnd vertime perid, the scre is still tied, the game will be declared a tie with half a pint being awarded t bth teams in rder t assist with seeding. 13.4.13.3 Turnament games will be played t cnclusin with three (3) minute vertimes until a winner prevails. 13.4.14 Reprting game results. It is the respnsibility f BOTH caches t reprt game results t his/her respective Age Grup Crdinatr within 24 hurs f the game. 13.5 Seasn champins and turnament seeding. If an age grup has been divided int subdivisins with inter-sub-divisins play, ranking will be determined by verall schedule, nt subdivisin schedule. The 7/8 Divisin and the 5/6 (Little Ballers) prgram are nt cnsidered applicable divisins fr the turnament. Criteria fr the regular seasn champins and turnament seeding will be in the rder as fllws: 13.5.1 Wn-Lss Recrd. If the full seasn schedule is played and the number f games played fr each team in the league is: 13.5.1.1 Equal, the number f wins determines the rankings, subject t the tiebreakers belw. Every effrt will be made t make-up canceled games. 13.5.2 Head-t-Head Recrd. Pint spread will nt be used. 13.5.3 Cin-Tss. If a cin tss is needed t break the tie, bth teams will be awarded trphies, if applicable fr the regular seasn. 14. SPECIAL RULES 14.1 Player Participatin. The fllwing player participatin rules apply t all LDBA Huse League divisins ther than the Yung Men s 15-18 Divisin. 14.1.1 Each player present prir t the start f the secnd quarter f a game (unless he r she is injured r disqualified and must leave the game early) will: 14.1.1.1 Play at least TWO (2) UNINTERRUPTED QUARTERS (cmplete). 14.1.1.2 Sit at least ONE UNINTERRUPTED QUARTER (cmplete). 14.1.2 It is within the purview f the cach t allt playing time t a player wh arrives late fr a game. Caches shuld attempt t play a player that arrives during half time r later in a manner that will nt disrupt the playing time f ther players. 14.1.3 In the attempt t maximize the playing time f all players, n player may play in fur (4) quarters unless all ther eligible players will have played r is playing in three (3) quarters. 14.1.4 Injury/Disqualificatin. 14.1.4.1 A player wh leaves a game due t injury shall be charged as participating cmpletely in the quarter. In the spirit f the rule, if a player subsequently recvers frm injury and is able t play at n risk t himself/herself, the cach must return the player t the line-up immediately. 14.1.4.2 A player replacing an injured r disqualified player is cnsidered t have played in the injured r disqualified player s quarter if they play ver tw (2) minutes in place f the injured r disqualified player. This cunts tward the three quarter maximum as a partial quarter played. The player wh replaces the injured r disqualified player must still play tw (2) uninterrupted quarters. 14.1.4.3 If a player replacing an injured r disqualified player plays tw (2) minutes r less (can be at next whistle after ging ver tw (2) minutes), this time des nt cunt as a quarter played. If the injured r disqualified player cannt return, the cach may substitute in a different player and they may play tw (2) minutes r less (can be at next whistle after ging ver 2 minutes). 14.1.5 When ne team in a game has six (6) r fewer players any time after the start f the secnd quarter, bth teams may ignre rule 14.1.1.2 (that all players must sit ne uninterrupted quarter). Hwever, all ther participatin rules still apply. 14.1.6 Unexcused absences frm practice r disciplinary issues with players may result in limited r reduced playing time. Page 23 f 46

The Club Administratr will ensure all caches in the divisin are aware f this exceptin and the duratin f this actin. If prir apprval is nt received, it will result in a player participatin vilatin and is subject t frfeit. 14.1.8 In rder t keep games clse and preserve the integrity f the League and divisin, a cach may break the player participatin rule by pulling ut higher skilled players in rder t cntrl game flw. Hwever, this must be discussed with the ppsing cach befre enacting this and nly when abslutely necessary. If questined, this will be reviewed by the Bard f Directrs and culd be deemed a frfeitable actin if fund t be nt apprpriate r nt in the best interest f the children. 14.2 LDBA Mercy rule. The fllwing Mercy rules apply t all LDBA Huse League divisins ther than the Yung Men s 15-18 Divisin. 14.2.1 All divisins WILL cmply with the mercy rule ther than the Yung Men s 15/18 Divisin. The mercy rule des nt apply t the Yung Men s 15/18 Divisin. If this technical r flagrant ful is deemed by the Bard f Directrs t be a severe vilatin f the Cde f Cnduct plicy, the Bard f Directrs may issue game suspensins after review f the situatin. See Rule 15.6 fr rules n administratin f suspensin. 15.4.2 If a player receives a technical r flagrant ful and is already n prbatin, this will likely result in a ne-game suspensin, t be determined by the Bard f Directrs. See Rule 15.6 fr rules n administratin f suspensin. 15.4.3 If a cach receives a technical ful, the Bard f Directrs will investigate the incident, t include the referee reprt, and determine the apprpriate curse f actin. This culd result in game suspensins. If this technical is received fr a Cde f Cnduct r ffensive actin (such as described in Rule 15.3), it s an autmatic ne-game suspensin. 15.5 Game Ejectin. Lee District Basketball Assciatin, Inc. 15.5.1 A cach, player, r spectatr may be ejected fr: any vilatin(s) f the applicable Cde f Cnduct; any vilatin(s) f the N Tlerance Plicy; r any f the ffensive actins listed in Rule 15.3. A cach r player may als be ejected fr severe vilatins f NFHS Basketball rules. 15.5.1.1 Physical fighting between players is an autmatic ejectin frm the game and a ne-game suspensin. These actins will nt be tlerated. See Rule 15.6 fr rules n administratin f suspensin. 15.5.1.2 Spectatr fighting will result in an autmatic call t 911 (Fairfax Cunty Plice). The game will be stpped and children remved frm the area until the incident can be cntained. This will take time away frm the fficial game time. 15.5.2 Ejectin. If an fficial ejects a cach r player frm the game, this persn(s) must remve themselves frm sight and sund f the game within ne (1) minute and are prhibited frm any further cntact (direct r indirect) with the team during the remainder f the game. Failure t cmply may result in a frfeit fr the team(s) invlved. 15.5.3 Game ejectin equals autmatic suspensin: 15.5.3.1 If an fficial ejects a cach r player frm a game, an autmatic ne (1) game suspensin will be enfrced. See Rule 15.6 fr rules n administratin f suspensin. 15.5.3.2 If the ejectin results frm a Cde f Cnduct vilatin, the player/cach may be suspended fr mre than ne game. The penalty will be set in accrdance t the severity f the vilatin. 15.5.4 Reprting. 15.5.4.1 If an fficial ejects a cach/player frm a game, the caches are respnsible fr ntifying the Age Grup Crdinatr and/r Parent Liaisn Directr within 24 hurs f the incident. The Age Grup Crdinatr will ntify the Huse Directr. League Administratin will review the incident. Failure t reprt may result in disciplinary actins. 15.5.4.2 Officials must ntify the Referee Crdinatr and the Club Administratr f any and all game ejectins r issues. This shuld be dne by phne and/r written accunt. 15.6 Suspensin frm Game(s). 15.6.1 Player suspensin. A player game suspensin is as fllws: The player must be in attendance at the game identified as the suspensin. The player is t be seated n the bench with his/her teammates and can nly prvide psitive cheering. If the player is nt in attendance f the identified suspensin game, the suspensin will carry ver t the next game that his/her team is scheduled fr. If this game is missed, then the player suspensin becmes permanent fr the rest f the current seasn, including practices. 15.6.2 Cach suspensin. If a cach receives a first suspensin, they will be allwed t attend the suspended game as a fan and remain quietly seated in the spectatr sectin. They are nt t cach in ANY way, r t be deemed nt cheering psitively. If a cach is bserved t vilate this guidance, the suspensin will carry ver t a game identified by the Bard f Directrs, in which the cach will nt be allwed t be in the gym during that game day. If a cach receives a secnd suspensin, it is pssible that the cach will be remved frm his/her caching psitin and will n lnger be eligible t vlunteer fr LDBA. Page 28 f 46

TOURNAMENTS Lee District Basketball Assciatin, Inc. 16.1 As part f the verall winter seasn, teams in age divisins 9/10 and abve will participate in a pst-seasn turnament. 16.2 The 7/8 Divisin and the 5/6 (Little Ballers) prgram are nt cnsidered applicable divisins fr the turnament. 16.3 The turnament will be single eliminatin frmat. 16.4 Seeding fr the turnaments will be based n regular seasn recrds. The team with the best recrd shall play the team with the wrst recrd, unless byes are given. Matrices will be prvided at turnament time. Seeding rder is defined in Rule 13.5, Seasn champins and turnament seeding. 17. ALL-STAR GAMES 17.1 There will be tw (2) all-star teams represented fr each applicable age divisin. 17.2 Each regular seasn s team cach will select the all-star participants frm his/her team. 17.3 LDBA will determine the number f players each team can send t the all-star game. 17.4 LDBA will determine the all-star game caches frm the caches in a given age grup divisin based n their adherence t the guidelines and their fulfillment f the respnsibilities utlined under the Team Caches sectin. 17.5 If a player wh is selected fr the all-star game cannt participate because f absence r injury, the regular seasn cach f the absent/injured player will select anther player frm his/her team as a substitute. If the all-star cach cannt cntact the cach f the absent/injured player, then the Huse and Parent Liaisn Directrs will select a player frm any team. 17.6 The Player Participatin Rules WILL apply t all-star games. 17.7 The 15/18 divisin is nt cnsidered an applicable divisin t participate in an All-Star Game unless agreed t by all caches and the Bard f Directrs 17.8 Cntests fr 3-pint shting, r regulatin ful shts (7/8 divisin) will be cnducted in cnjunctin with the All-Star activities. These include players, caches, referees, vlunteers, r parents within the LDBA cmmunity. 18. PROTEST OF GAMES 18.1 In accrdance with the NFHS Basketball Rules Bk, NO PROTESTS f games will be recgnized. The nly exceptin t this rule is a head cach may prtest an LDBA game if he r she believes the ppnent may nt have adhered t the LDBA Player Participatin Rules r Cde f Cnduct. Hwever, if the League Administratin is aware f a vilatin t the LDBA Player Participatin Rules r Cde f Cnduct, they may take actin as they deem apprpriate withut a request r prtest. 19. LDBA Cunty Cmpetitive Prgram Plicies and Infrmatin Cmpetitive Prgram Overview The LDBA r The Machine can place Cmpetitive/Travel Select teams in the Fairfax Cunty Yuth Basketball League (FCYBL) r any ther recgnized rganizatin. The teams meet mre frequently fr practice than Huse Rec. teams and play a greater number f games including additinal turnaments. Teams participating can travel farther distances fr sme games than fr the Huse Rec. prgram. There are als increased fees fr these teams. Further, there are n player participatin rules fr these teams. Each Cmpetitive team s cach makes the final decisins as t playing times fr any given game and acrss the entire seasn. The fllwing prvides further detail abut the LDBA Cmpetitive/Travel Select teams that participate in FCYBL r any ther rganizatin, league r turnament. Nt all will apply all the time: Zip Cde Rule FCYBL assigns certain Fairfax Cunty zip cdes t each prgram, including LDBA. Each team is allwed t have a limited number f players wh reside in Fairfax Cunty, but utside f LDBA s assigned zip cdes. Nn-Fairfax Cunty Residents Players wh d nt reside in Fairfax Cunty may still be able t be selected fr an LDBA Select team. But this is subject t restrictins and rules that are gverned by FCYBL. FCYBL als has the pprtunity t deny this request fr nn-fairfax Cunty players. Lcatin f Practices and Games All practices will be held in lcal public elementary and middle schls. Hwever, the lcatin f the games culd be as clse as Edisn High Schl r as far as Gainesville, VA, in the west r McLean, VA, in the nrth. Additinal Csts There are additinal csts abve the LDBA registratin fee fr thse players that are chsen fr the Cmpetitive teams. The additinal csts include items such as registratin fees, LDBA Cmpetitive team unifrms, and turnament fees. LDBA Cmpetitive team caches will discuss these csts (and pssible fund raising ideas) with their teams. Additinal Dcumentatin Required Each player, whether new t the prgram r a returning player, wh is chsen n a Cmpetitive team may be required and must prvide the fllwing dcumentatin t their cach: Virginia DMV ID Card: Every player have an ID Card issued frm the Department f Mtr Vehicles (DMV areas). The ID Card must shw their crrect birth date and their current hme address. If in VA, this ID may be btained frm a Virginia DMV ffice. Reprt Card: Each player must submit a cpy f their reprt card r interim reprt card fr prf f cunty residency and grade level. The bys' teams are rganized int age divisins, ne divisin per grade, fr each grade frm 5th thrugh 9th grade and ne divisin fr all players in 10th - 12th grade. The girls' teams are rganized int age divisins fr each grade frm 5th thrugh 8th grade and ne divisin fr all girls in high schl. Players must be in the respective grade r lwer as f September 1 st f that year. Fr specific infrmatin n the guidelines fr player placement and age restrictins, see the FCYBL website. Guidelines abut age and grade are n the FCYBL page n rules. Beynd the FCYBL rules, LDBA requires that players n 5 th grade (10 and under (10-U)) teams be at least nine (9) years ld by Octber 1 f the current year. Fr any requests fr exceptin, cntact the Cmpetitive Directr. Playing Up As a general rule, LDBA des nt allw players t play up if there is a team at their wn age level. Hwever, if a player's individual talent enables them t be amng the best players n the team in which they wuld be playing up, LDBA may allw it. Cntact the respective cach with the request. Final decisins will be made by the Cmpetitive Directr. Hwever, if LDBA fields tw teams in an age grup, n player will be allwed t play up n the Divisin 2 (r B lwer level) team. If a player is nt chsen fr a team, they need t attend the Huse Rec. prgram s Assessment Night and will be placed n a Huse Rec. team. Tryut Prcedures If LDBA r The Machine is fielding ne team in an age grup, then there will be ne set f tryuts fr the team fr that age grup. If LDBA r The Machine is fielding tw teams in an Age Grup, the teams wuld be rganized int tw divisins: Divisin 1 (als knwn as A ) team, which is the higher level team, and Divisin 2 (r B ) team. SCORING. 7. Running Scre. Every time a team scres, crss ut the current scre fr that team. 8. Player pints. As best yu can, each time a player scres, in the apprpriate quarter that the basket was scred, recrd the apprpriate number f pints: 2-pint basket made: Put a 2 in the apprpriate quarter. 3-pint basket made: The referee will raise bth arms t indicate that the sht was taken behind the 3-pint line.
