Stan Lemon rode as Stan Johns Hailsham Cup This year the competition was based on the results over the whole season scored in all events. "Unprecedented shortage of riders and track difficulties" meant that an "impromptu programme had to be arranged with the team competitions in the first half (this was a Probables v Possibles match) and handicaps in the second".
