Next General Membership Meeting November 2, 2011 7:30 p.m. Sunrise Café, Middleton Minutes to the October 5, 2011 General Membership Meeting The general meeting was held at the Sunrise cafe.. Meeting called to order at 7:40 by President Andrea. Moved by Mel/ Wade to accept minutes as printed in the newsletter. Unanimous approved. Attendance: Lois Cant, Jamey Robbins, Donna Berardelli, Colton Patnaude, Zane, Brianne & Shawn Charters, Connie Evans, Wade Kirksey, Andrea Mowdy, Deneen Phillips, Ted & Teresa Allen, Marnie Vandenburg, Janet Allcott,, Anita Stephens & grand child, Joan Lyons, Rosie Williams & Mel & Anne Gahley. TREASURER REPORT: Marnie reported balance in checking account $13,507.82, scholarship $1,098.17, Paid Connie Graves $175 for double pt show expenses. Outstanding bills: reimburse Janet Alcott for sweatshirts and embordery for year-end awards. Canyon County Fairgrounds, Motel for Christine Bergseng, newsletter and postage for October newsletter. BANQUET COMMITTEE: Committee members: Donna B, Jamey. Janet, Connie E, Connie G & Andrea. Andrea reported they had met with the restaurant to tour the rooms. The restaurant has requested ISHSA pre-sell 125 tickets by Nov 1st to reserve both room. Tickets can be purchased from Linda Murray, ph 870-3132 Blackcatranch99@gmail.com The dinner will be buffet only. Ticketed people only can come to the banquet from 5:00 to 7:30, after 7:30 others will be allowed to attend. The restaurant has established this format. DOUBLE POINT COMMITTEE: Wade reported the show had gone well. The reiners were happy to have their classes on Friday night. The Sat & Sunday show days were shorter making for a nice show. A huge thank you to Wade & Connie for a job well done. EPRB / LOC committee: John was absent. He has requested a total number of entries in all classes. Anita said she would have that information to John this coming week. Anne turned in $590.00 collected from folks planning to attend the clinic this weekend then requested 3 checks for the presenter Judy Wright, Al Birt for arena rental & The Gem county 4-H for food. Moved by Mel/ Wade. Passed unanimously. NEWSLETTER COMMITTEE : It will be published this Friday. Look for a calendar of shows held in 2011 for your 2012 planning. OLD BUSINESS: None discussed SCHOLARSHIP: No report NEW BUSINESS: In reviewing our show season Anita mentioned several things would help her do her job better. After much discussion Anita will send a check list to be included with the show packet. AWARDS COMMITTEE: Deneen would like all members of the award committee to meet at her salon 10-20-11 at 7:00 p.m. to go over awards. She requested that the points be finalized by Nov 2nd. Please look over the points to approve or disapprove by Nov 4 th. Mel moved/joanie 2 nd Points disputes to be sent to Andrea Mowdy. Year End Awards Banquet The Annual Meeting and Year End Awards Banquet will be held January 14, 2012 at the Nampa Shilo Inn. To guarantee that adequate seating will be available it is required that all dinner tickets be pre-purchased. RSVP s are also required if you are planning on attending only the awards presentations.
