NOTICE All stock placed for competition must be the property of the Exhibitor one month previous to the Show. This rule does not apply to classes marked Open. All stock must be in the Showground no later than 9.00am. All stock entered for the Show must stand at their respective posts after judging, and, if not, they will be disqualified. The Society will not be responsible if they miss their class when judging is in progress. No substitute of animals in the Hunter and Pony Classes will be permitted unless the Secretary receives written notification of such substitution prior to the day of the Show. Exhibitors who possess Height Measurement Certificates in respect of their entries are requested to display them to Stewards or Attending members before entering the judging ring. Occasionally classes may coincide. It is up to the competitor to decide which class they will go forward to. All Entries in classes governed by Teeth Qualifications to have their Mouths examined before being allowed into the judging ring. No stock to be loaded for removal until after the Champion of Champions is over, unless by special permission. Any Animal in the Schedule/Catalogue failing to turn out for the Champion of Champions will forfeit the Prize Money. All Prize Money must be collected on the day, with the exception of champions/ reserves which will be posted after the show. The Committee shall have power on their own initiative to deal with all questions as to the infringement or interpretation of the Rules or Regulations of the Society and their decision shall be final. In the event of the Show being cancelled refunds will only be given if request is accompanied by a Stamped Self Addressed envelope and must be received within 14 days of date of show. An administration fee may be deducted. Protests: Protest must be lodged, in writing, with the Secretary on day of the Show, along with a deposit of 20, which will be forfeited if the objection is overruled, and the decision of the Committee in all cases of dispute to be final. The Society will not be held responsible for any loss or damage sustained in the Showground. We would be obliged if members who have not yet paid their Annual Subscription of l5 would do so prior to the Show. No exit for cars or floats between 8.30am l0.00am unless by special permission. WORKING HUNTER PONY SECTION Judging commences at 8.30am Blair Castle Working Hunter Pony Series: Ponies placed 1 st to 4 th in the qualifying classes will qualify for the Championships held at the Blair Castle International Horse Trials & Country Fair on Thursday 23 August 2018. Qualification may go down to 6 th place if higher placed ponies have previously qualified. Classes 10 to 12 will be run under BSPS rules, to include height and spread of jumps in each section. Class 10 Blair Castle Working Hunter Pony Championship. Open WHP not exceeding 133cms/13hh. Class 11 Blair Castle Open Working Pony Championship. Open WHP over 133cms/13hh) to 143cms/14hh. Novice Working Hunter Pony/Horse winner will receive the Waugh Brown Cup COLOURED SECTION Judging commences at 8.45am Class 16 Coloured Horse or Pony In Hand, any age. (Class will be Split between Non-Native and Native/Cob/Traditional Type if entries forward are sufficient.) Special rosette will be awarded to the best 3yr and under. Class 17 Coloured Horse or pony ridden, 4 yrs old and over. (Class will be split between Non-Native and Native/Cob/Traditional Type if entries forward are sufficient.) Coloured Horse or Pony Championship. First and Second Prize Winners from Classes 16 and 17 will be eligible. VETERAN SECTION DRUM FEEDS ARE KINDLY SPONSORING THIS SECTION Judging commences as soon as possible after Coloured Horse/Pony Championship Veteran Horse Society QUALIFIER 2018. This is a qualifier for the Veteran Horse Society Supreme Final: SCOTTISH VETERAN HORSE OF THE YEAR 2018 Kindly Sponsored by Allen & Page. Each VHS affiliation in Scotland now holds a PRE-QUAL Supreme Final qualification Open to members and non-members. However, only Members may go forward to the Championship of the day. VHS Membership to be applied for no later than 1 week prior to this show, to avoid disappointment. VHS Scottish Supreme (Pre-Judging) Final qualification. ONLY MEMBERS placed 1 st to 2nd in each age category will go to the Veteran Championship of the Day. In all classes - if competitors placed 1st or 2nd are not Members qualification will be given to 3rd & 4th providing they are Members. Qualification will not go lower than 4th place. If the Champion or Reserve has qualified then 2nd or 3rd reserve may take qualification. All competitors and grooms must adhere to VHS 2018 Rule Book in all circumstances. Failure to do so may result in immediate disqualification. Champions and Reserve Both In-hand and Ridden must have their showing card signed by the judge in the ring as proof of qualification. This will qualify through the pre-judging of the Supreme. Competitors to present their Show Card to the judge for qualification. Should the Championship be combined the top 2 ridden and top 2 in-hand go forward. Mountain & Moorland. The highest placed Mountain and Moorland in each class will receive entry to the pre-judging of the Mountain & Moorland Supreme Final, providing they are Members. This may be carried down to 4th place. To be registered with a Breed Society and hold a current Breed Society passport. Young Rider Championship qualification. A Young Rider qualification will be awarded to the young rider of the Judge s choice, entitling them to enter the Young Rider Championship Prior to the Supreme Final This award is given at the Judge s discretion. Non Members to receive an orange card.

Class 18 Diamond Veteran In-Hand (25 years and over). Open to horses and ponies of any breed and height, incorporating M&M qualification Class 19 Veteran In-Hand (20 24 years). Open to horses and ponies of any breed and height, incorporating M&M qualification. Class 20 Pre-Veteran In-Hand (15 19 years). Open to horses and ponies of any breed and height, incorporating M&M qualification. Champion & Reserve to qualify Class 21 Diamond Veteran Ridden (25 years and over). Open to horses and ponies of any breed and height, incorporating M&M and Junior qualification. Class 22 Veteran Ridden (20 24 years). Open to horses and ponies of any breed and height, incorporating M&M and Junior qualification. Class 23 Pre-Veteran Ridden (15 19 years). Open to horses and ponies of any breed and height, incorporating M&M and Junior qualification.. In-Hand and Ridden Champions and Reserves will be eligible. RIDING CLUB/PONY CLUB SECTION Judging commences as soon as possible after Veteran Horse Championship Snaffle Bridles only and NO Spurs or Martingales. Class 24 Riding Club Horse/Cob 4 yrs old exceeding 148cms/14.2hh and over, under saddle. To be judged on turnout and manners, to include a small jump. Special rosettes for best Small 158cms/15.2hh and under, large over 158cms/15.2hh and cob. Class 25 Pony Club Pony (no lead reins), not exceeding 148cms/14.2hh, under saddle. To be judged on turnout and manners, to include a small jump. Special Rosettes for best 128cms/12.2hh, 138cms/13.2hh and 148cms/14.2hh. Riding Club/Pony Club Championship. First and Second Prize Winners from Classes 24 and 25 will be eligible. REGISTERED MOUNTAIN AND MOORLAND PONIES SECTION Judging commences at 8.30am The breed society and registered stud book number must be included at time of entry. Class 26 Registered Mountain and Moorland stallions and colts 2 yrs and over, to be shown in hand. Best Stalion will receive Wilson Cup.

Class 27 Registered Mountain and Moorland ponies, small breeds, any age, to be shown in hand, Exmoor, Dartmoor, Shetland. (Stallions excluded). Special Rosette for best of each breed. Class 28 Registered Welsh Section A and B ponies, any age, to be shown in hand. Best Welsh section A will receive the Scott Trophy A. Best Welsh section B will receive the Scott Trophy B. Small Breeds championship for 1 st and 2 nd prize winners (if eligible) from the above classes, nos 26-28 for the Brownie Cup. Class 29 Registered Mountain and Moorland ponies, large breeds, any age, to be shown in hand, Connemara, Dales, Fell, Highland, New Forest, Welsh Section C and D. Special Rosette for best of each breed. Large Breeds championship for 1 st and 2 nd prize winners from the above class and Class 26 (if eligible) for the Miss Muffet Cup. Overall In-Hand Mountain and Moorland Championship for 1 st and 2 nd prize winners from the Small Breeds and Large Breeds Championship classes.
