This is a Modified Double Elimination tournament. Golden Score (two minutes) will be used for all junior, senior, and master matches. The winner will not have any losses. Losers will fight in a losers pool to determine an eventual silver and bronze medalist. There will be only one bronze medalist. Divisions of 2 or less will be Full Double Elimination. Bantam Divisions of 5 or less will compete in a round robin. Current IJF Rules will be used with the following modifications: 1. IJF and Juvenile B matches will be four (4) minutes. Juvenile A and younger matches will be three (3) minutes long. 2. CHOKES - Junior athletes who are Juvenile A (born 1999-2000) and older (this is based on YEAR of birth and not actual age. ARM BARS - Junior athletes who are IJF Jr. (born 1993-1998) or Juvenile B (born 1996-1998) will be permitted to use arm bars. 3. IJF Match times will apply to senior men s elite and senior women s elite. All other senior and masters divisions will be three (3) minutes long. 4. NO arm bars in ANY Novice division. 5. Juvenile A athletes (Born 1999-2000) may compete in the IJF division (Born 1993-1998) but they CANNOT earn points in any division besides juvenile A.
