SCHEDULE OF EVENTS Saturday, October 15, 2016 - Packet Pick- Up & Lifestyle Market (no Packet Pick- Up on race day) South Shores Park Mission Bay Drive San Diego, CA 92109 10:00 AM 4:00 PM Race registration and packet pick- up at South Shores Park 10:00 AM 4:00 PM Lifestyle Market featuing a collection of national and local brands Sunday, October 16, 2016 - Race Day- No Packet Pick- Up at the event site. 6:15 AM Road into South Shores Park closes (all athletes must arrive prior) 6:55 AM Duathon begins 7:00 AM Triathlon begins 7:15 AM 5K start 7:00 AM 11:00 AM Post- race rendezvous and Lifestyle Market celebration 10:00 AM Awards ceremony 10:00 AM Road out for athletes reopens Due to the road closure, athletes will not be able to exit until 10:00 AM. PACKET PICK- UP & LIFESTYLE MARKET INFORMATION South Shores Park Mission Bay Drive San Diego, CA 92109 Items to Know: Bring photo ID. Athletes must pick up their own packet and cannot pick up a packet for a friend due to USA Triathlon rules which are being upheld for all event dis- tances on race weekend. Race packets include wristband for Bubbly Bar (21+ only), race bib with attached timing tag, gift bag, and race tank.
TIMING CHIPS Timing chips are located on the back of the race bib. Please do not alter or fold race bib in any way to ensure accurate results. RACE BIB Each participant will receive a race bib in their race packet. It is to be worn on the front of your running shirt or shorts. The number MUST be visible when you start the run. Do not cut, fold, or alter your race number in any way. RACE DAY LOGISTICS South Shores Park Mission Bay Drive San Diego, CA 92109 7:15 AM 5K Start 10:00 AM 5K Athletes may leave parking lot once triathlon/duathlon bike course is closed 11:00 AM - Event concludes - all gear must be removed PARKING Parking is available at South Shores Park in Mission Bay, but is sure to fill up quickly (by 5:45 AM). Additional parking will be available along the San Diego flood channel that parallels Sea World Drive. Vehicles will turn left at the stoplight, instead of right, into the park. At 6:30 AM, Sea World Drive will be closed for the race and participants and spectators will need to park in the dirt lot at the corner of Sea World Dr. and Pacific Hwy., approximately 0.5 miles from the race site. (Athletes cannot leave the parking lot until the bike course closes at 10:00 AM. No exceptions.) SPECTATORS Spectators will be able to view the run course along the run path and welcome athletes back outside the finish line chute in the venue at South Shores Park. GENERAL RACE INFORMATION Triathlon and Duathlon athletes will be racing on the same course for the Bike and Run portions of the course.
PERSONAL BELONGINGS Please make sure that anything carried onto the course remains in your possession. No garbage, clothing, etc. shall be thrown on the course. Please respect the course and the city that permits the event to utilize city parks, streets and pools which allow this event to flourish. LOST AND FOUND Life Time is not responsible for any lost or stolen items. During the Expo, Lost and Found will be located at the Packet Pick- Up tent. On race day, Lost and Found items should be turned in and claimed at the Information Tent, located just west of the Centennial Park Kid s Playground. The Information Tent will be open between 3:30 AM and 12:00 PM on Race Day. Unclaimed items will be relocated to the Life Time warehouse. Items remaining after 30 days will be donated to charity. UNSPORTSMANLIKE CONDUCT Unsportsmanlike conduct during any portion of the race will not be tolerated and will result in an immediate disqualification. HEADPHONES Headphones, ipods or any personal audio devices may not be used at any time during the race. There are no exceptions to this USA Triathlon rule as the 5K athletes will be racing on the same course as the Triathletes and Duathletes. STROLLERS Strollers are not allowed on course due to the fact this is a USAT sanctioned event with triath- lete and duathletes on course. VOLUNTEERS Please remember to thank the Volunteers as the race wouldn t be possible without their help. There are still volunteer opportunities available on Saturday and Sunday of race weekend. COURSE DETAILS AID STATIONS Athletes are supported on race day by several Aid Stations including: Start Area: water will be located outside of Transition as well as the Swim Start and Finish areas. Run Course: There are two aid stations located along the run course. Both water and Generation UCAN will be available at each aid station as well as Body Armor and JUST Water at the finish line. MEDICAL SUPPORT Medical support will be available at all three aid stations on the run course, in Transition and at the finish line in the medical tent. In case of medical emergency please contact the nearest staff member. Participants requiring medical assistance may be transported to one of the nearby hospitals, and will be billed by the hospital and ambulance pro- vider. Participants must give on- scene medical personnel the freedom to determine which facility will be utilized. IMPORTANT! Each participant must complete the medical information form on the back of the race bib. Please take time to complete the medical information including emergency contact information, thus making the information available to health care professionals in the event the athlete is unable to communicate with Medical Staff. RESTROOMS Portable toilets will be located at each aid station and at the finish line.
EVENT ALERT SYSTEM (EAS) This race will utilize the EAS system, encompassing color- coded indicators to reflect current event conditions. Participants will notice flags posted throughout the race venue, as well as at each mile marker and Aid Station on Race Day.

LIFESTYLE MARKET Enjoy the ultimate post- race experience at the Gildan Esprit de She signature Lifestyle Mar- ket! Look forward to sipping, sampling, and enjoying memorable experiences brought to life by event sponsors and community partners. Participants will receive Bubbly Bar wristband during Packet Pick- Up with a valid photo ID. POST RACE BREAKFAST Refuel after crossing the finish line with Konitos burritos, fruit and muffins. BUBBLY BAR Athletes can redeem their two complimentary drink tickets inside the Bubbly Bar (21+ only). Each athlete will be given a wristband at Packet Pick- Up upon checking photo ID. Volunteers at the Bubbly Bar will be accepting donations for the Challenged Athletes Foundation. OFFICIAL APPAREL Gildan Esprit de She apparel and merchandise will be available for purchase all week- end. Shop early for the best selection (bring cash or credit cards to purchase items). TANK EXCHANGE Tank exchange will be available at the Information Tent after all participants have picked up their race materials. We cannot guarantee exchanges, but will do our best to accommodate. RACE RESULTS/AGE GROUP AWARDS All results will be available online and on- site following the race. Please allow 10-15 minutes af- ter crossing the finisher line to ensure that the results are correct. Results will be available via the QR code on race bibs.
AWARDS CEREMONY Awards Ceremony will take place at 10:00 AM on stage and feature a check presentation to Girls on the Run San Diego. Award necklaces will be presented to the top three overall 5K finish- ers as well as the top three finishers in the following age groups: Ages 6-12 Ages 13-19 Ages 20-29 Ages 30-39 Ages 40-49 Ages 50-59 Ages 60-69 Age 70+ RACE PHOTOS ChronoTrack photographers will be onsite to photograph the race. 2016 race photos are availa- ble to download for FREE courtesy of The Vision Council. Visit our event website after the race to view and download your complementary race photos. Photographers will tag photos of par- ticipants whose race bib is clearly visible.
