And timely updates Here s what s in Rev. 6.0.0 SPOT PLAY module:
A new model has been added to the main program. This model is designed to spot a horse who based upon the selected criteria should show significant improvement his/her next time out. Here s how it works 1. You pre-select the racetracks you want to evaluate. You can also save your selection for future use. 2. Determine the logic selection. For example, if you select a few parameters the horse must satisfy and if they all must be satisfied then you would select AND. If any selected parameter must be satisfied then you would select OR. 3. Select the Race Entry Date. For example, if you want to handicap today s races then you would select today s race. 4. Select how many past races must satisfy the criteria 5. Select the Parameter(s) you want the computer to evaluate. Once you select a parameter, you can then give a value, see below:
6. Hit GO. The program will launch a browser and get the selected upcoming race entries depending upon your selected Entry date. It will parse the upcoming races that have been posted on the www.equibase.com website. The idea of this model is to get the early entries for the upcoming races and then perform the Spot Play Analysis for the selected past races (the past performances that have been downloaded utilizing the results program).

The last screen shows you which horses met your criteria for a Spot Play. It will also show you the upcoming track, race #, etc. The second database grid will show the past race that satisfied the criteria and the critical parameters. The third database grid will show you the past performance information after the Entry date, if available. This will allow you to test your criteria. For example, you can put in an entry date that is a few weeks old. Select your tracks, set your criteria, and the computer will look for horses that satisfy your spot play criteria prior to the entry date. It will then show you how your spot play horse did. With this type of information, you could then tune your spot play criteria. What else is in rev. 6.0.0?
A full make over to the Open Screen and the main Handicapping screen. Top menus with pull-down submenus. Never miss/forget to download the full chart results. The program will perform Automatic downloading of the full chart equibase results. For example, set the clock to 11:00pm and check the box for Everyday.Once initially starteed, the program will automatically wakeup and launch the browser and perform the downloading and parsing of the full chart results. It will also perform the database entries unattended by you every night at 11:00pm. With the above feature the program will also perform the track Pars analysis automatically without any prompting by you. Added a new Database Manager feature in the Track Performance and Race Results module. This will give you full control over the results databases. During the full chart results downloading process, Horse PAR values are automatically created and loaded in the databases. Made corrections for Equibase Changes since last release.
