WIDE BAY SCHOOL SPORT BOARD ABN:- 40 982 779 280 North Coast Region Maryborough Office 102 Lennox Street PO Box 142 Maryborough Q 4650 Secretary: Justin Lane Phone: (07) 4122 0874 Fax: (07) 32206454 E-mail: justin.lane@det.qld.gov.au 14 th February 2017 Dear Parent / Guardian Your daughter has been invited to attend the 2017 Wide Bay 11-12 years Girls Rugby League Emerging Talent Camp, to be held in Hervey Bay from 1st April 4th April 2017. Players chosen to participate in this camp have been selected either through their performance at the 2016 Wide Bay 11 12 years School R.L. Trials (Bundaberg), their performance at the State Invitational Carnival (Ipswich), or identified as athletes who may possess the necessary skills, physique, commitment and determination to play future representative rugby league. The aim of this camp is to not only improve and develop your daughter s rugby league skills under the guidance of a number of Wide Bay s leading schoolgirls and club coaches, but also enable various District and WB coaches to identify potential District, WB and Queensland representative players; and give guidance to these players while still at an early period in their rugby league development. The Emerging Talent Camp is seen as the beginning of the early identification of potential representative players and is the initial stage of the further monitoring of these players development and progress throughout their junior rugby league career. It is hoped that all invited players (whether or not they intended to play school or club rugby league), would accept this rare opportunity to participate in this camp, not only to develop their own individual skills, but also aid WB in developing strong and competitive teams for the future. It must be stressed that if your daughter does not accept this invitation, they will not be disadvantaged in their bid for future representative selection. This camp however, has the potential to be a positive and rewarding experience for both the player and the relevant District and Wide Bay coaches. Please note the following information and feel free to contact Michael Hutchinson if you have any further queries. We look forward to your positive response and meeting your daughter on camp. Yours in League.. Rob Messer (Camp Convenor/WB Boys u/11 Coach 2017) Coach 2017) Michael Hutchinson (Camp Convenor / WB Girls RL
