See line-ups. For all teams except 10 Intermediate, if a team s original (local season) roster falls below 6 eligible players, it may substitute one boy or one girl to meet the minimum roster requirement. That substitute must come from the same local league and season and meet all eligibility requirements. For 10 Intermediate teams, if a team s roster falls below 4, it may substitute 2 players to meet the minimum requirement. Substitutes must come from the same local league and season and meet all eligibility requirements. Any subs from Regionals are not considered part of the original roster. A team must have played at least 3 matches in its local season and been certified by the Local League Coordinator, or the Section Manager for Section Wild Card teams Junior Ratings must be turned on for leagues advancing teams to Championships. A team must play a full round robin or a round robin within flights during the local season. A team may advance only in the division which they played during the local season. Player Eligibility Players must have valid USTA memberships and be age-eligible through August 31, 2017. Players must have played in a local season on a team having played on at least 3 different days. Players must have played at least 2 matches on different days with different match numbers. A default does not court as a match played. Players may play for only one team at this championship. Players with a 3.5 Junior Rating or above must play in an Advanced division, regardless of age. Players with a 2.5 rating or above must play in either Intermediate or Advanced divisions, regardless of age. Coaching

Coaches will be identified by wearing a USTA lanyard, given at check-in. Coaches must be listed in TennisLink as a Coach/Co-Coach (aka Team Captain) for that team and have completed the USTA Safe Play process. Coaching is allowed at changeovers only and for no more than 90 seconds. This is inclusive of the time that players may sit, drink, and change ends. Only one Coach is allowed on court for an entire team match, no changing Coaches during the team match. A Coach s privilege may be revoked for reasons such as unsportsmanlike conduct or unallowable coaching. Line-Ups and Defaults Line-ups are due at least 30 mins prior to the scheduled match time. Late line-ups may result in loss of toss and point penalties. For all teams except 10 Intermediate, only one boy and one girl may play twice in a team match and must include Mixed Doubles. (Singles and Mixed, or Doubles and Mixed). For 10 Intermediate, no player may play singles twice within a team match and no player may play doubles twice within a team match. Correct line-ups are the responsibility of the Coach, not the tournament desk. If a Coach plays an illegal line-up, one or more matches may be subject to default if appealed by the opposing Coach. If a team does not have the minimum number of players for its first match of the tournament, it may play but all scores for all team and individual matches will be entered as defaults except for the purposes of tournament points. If a team does not have the minimum number of players after its first match, it must default singles first, doubles second if necessary. Mixed Doubles will not be defaulted. Rain Plan: Both sites have indoor back up. The Rain Plan will be outlined during the Coach s Call, about 3 days before the tournament start. If weather dictates, we will move indoors and matches will most likely be timed. If some matches are timed and others untimed, all teams in a division will have the same number of timed and untimed individual matches such that no team has an advantage of earning more games than any other. Procedures for timed matches will be provided to each Coach prior to the start of the tournament if it appears that they will be needed. Tournament Ranking Points: All players will receive 65 participation points toward their MAS best six. Players in Singles and Doubles, not Mixed, will receive 65 points per win toward their MAS best six. Grievances:

Types include General, Administrative, National, Eligibility, Ratings. Championship Grievances: see the USTA National Championship Track Regulations for grievances at all Section-run Championships. Grievances during Championships must be filed within 30 minutes of the conclusion of the team match in which it occurred. Grievances relating to eligibility of a player or team must be filed within 48 hours of the conclusion of the tournament. Grievance forms will be available at the tournament desk.

Forms Code of Conduct: Players and Parents must sign a Code of Conduct Agreement (found at the end of this packet) indicating that they understand and will abide by the standards of good sportsmanship. Any unsportsmanlike behavior, including that of spectators, may result in warning, point penalty, and/or default. The conduct of players and parents during a match is the responsibility of the Coach/Team Captain. Please review with your team prior to the match about expectations and potential consequences. Waivers: All players must provide a signed Medical Waiver and all teams must provide a Media Waiver prior to the start of their first match. Those are found at the end of this packet.

Code of Conduct (ONE PER PLAYER) Player Portion The Point Penalty System will be applied during this Championship as described in Friend At Court. During the course of a match a player shall not engage in verbal abuse, visible or audible profanity, racket abuse, ball abuse, physical abuse, retaliatory calls, and failure to follow instructions of an official or tournament director, or any other unsportsmanlike conduct. (Adapted from 2016 Friend At Court). In addition to having read and agreeing to refrain from the above behaviors, I agree to abide by the JTT Player s Promise: "I recognize that tennis is a sport that places the responsibility for fair play on me. I promise to abide by the rules of the game, which require me to give the benefit of the doubt to my opponent. At all times I shall strive to compete with the true spirit of sportsmanship, recognizing that my behavior on the court is a direct reflection of my character. Whether this match ends with my victory or defeat, I promise to conduct myself in a way that honors my opponents, my team, those who support me, and the game of tennis." I agree to properly dispose all trash and return the area where I sit and play to the condition in which I found it. Player Signature Team Name Date Parent and Spectator Portion As a spectator at these Championships, I understand that this is an opportunity for these players to have fun, learn, and be part of a team. In that regard, I agree to the following. If do not, I may be asked to leave the premises. Support my player and team in good sportsmanship and the spirit of JTT. Refrain from getting involved in any match, including coaching or helping call lines. Spectate from outside of the court only (i.e., stay outside the playing area). Be courteous at all times, showing respect for players, coaches, tournament staff, volunteers and spectators. In cheering, cheer as if every player were my own for well-played points rather than doubles faults, misses, etc. Know and understand JTT rules and rules of the event. I agree to properly dispose all trash and return the area where I and anyone in my party sit to the condition in which I found it. Parent/Spectator Signature Date
