The FC Durham Academy March Break Festival be will played in keeping with Ontario Soccer's A Guide to Festivals in Ontario and the Long-Term Player Development Matrix will be used. In accordance with the Long-Term Player Development Matrix, all teams will play a minimum/maximum of two games on the day that their respective division is scheduled. The FCD March Break Festival will follow the guidelines that are presented in the LTPD Matrix. As per the LTPD game, scores will not be recorded nor will standings be kept. In addition, no trophies will be presented. As such, no game protests will be accepted by the Festival Committee. Team Eligibility The FCD March Break Festival is open to teams boys and girls in the, U9, U10, U11 and U12. Teams must follow the LTPD Matrix with respect to travel time and traveling outside of their respective district. Teams from outside of the Durham area must submit an Approved Travel Permit (ATP) with their application form. Team entry/acceptance cannot be confirmed until payment has been received. For teams outside of Durham, team acceptance cannot be confirmed until the Approved Travel Permit (ATP) has been received. A squad representative is required to check in at the Festival Desk no less than 45 minutes prior to the squad s first scheduled game. The following documents must be presented at Team Check in. Ontario Soccer Team Officials Books District Authorized Player Pool or Squad Roster Approved Travel Permit (for non Durham teams) please note: this must also be included with the team s application form for the festival. Teams that withdraw before the entry deadline will receive a full refund less a $25 administrative fee. Teams that withdraw after the deadline will forfeit the full amount of the entry fee.

Game Duration The team designated as the home team on the schedule will be responsible for providing the game ball. (U9-U12 Size 4, Size 3) Age Division maximum of 60 minutes playing time per player per festival U9/U10 maximum of 80 minutes playing time per player per festival Maximum of 80 playing time per player per festival Game Length/Substitutions 2 X 20 5-minute half time break Minimum of 20 minutes rest between 2 X 25 2-minute half time break Minimum of 30 minutes rest between 2 X 25 2-minute half time break Minimum of 30 minutes of rest between If either team does not have the stipulated minimum number of players available at the start of the game or at any time during the game, the game shall be shortened to 20 minutes. Referees will be instructed to strictly apply this rule. Coaches are required to give fair playing time to all players, including goalkeepers, and thus ensure that no player exceeds the permitted maximum minutes per day. Game Sheets All teams must submit a completed Festival Game Sheet to the referee prior to the start of the game. ***A player can only play for one team in the Festival***
Throw Ins/Pass Ins The, and U9 will use Pass ins for balls that have crossed the touch line. The U10, U11 and U12 divisions will use Throws Ins, as per the Laws of the Game, for balls that have crossed the touch line. Goal Kicks Retreat Line In all divisions, the defending team must retreat into their defending half of the field for goal kicks. In all divisions, the defending team must retreat into their half of the field when the opposing keeper has control of the ball in his/her hands. Free Kicks All free kicks, except for Penalty Kicks, are indirect. This also includes kickoffs, corner kicks and goal kicks. Corner Kicks Division In the case of the ball crossing the goal line, but not between the goal posts, a goal kick will take place regardless of which team played the ball over the line This is for only. Off side All divisions are played with no off sides. Kick offs Ball does not have to be played forward on a kick off. There will be no coin toss to start the game. The teams facing the spectator area will kick off. Substitutions There is no limit to the number of player substitutions during a game. Substitutions are to be made on the fly meaning when the game is in progress. The referee will not stop the game for substitutions. Registration Deadline: Monday February 26 th 6pm.
