The Sponsor s Rosette is also awarded to the pony receiving the qualification. Membership cards must be presented in the ring to receive the medal and/or the qualification. Excludes Part Bred These classes are judged under the Rules of the NPS. NPS Silver Medal Rosettes are only awarded when the owner of the champion pony is a Qualifying or Life member of the NPS. A valid membership card must be in the rider s/handler s possession on entering the ring and be produced immediately on request by either the judge or the steward. If the owner of the Champion pony is not a member, or the owner s membership card is not immediately produced, the rosette may be awarded to the Reserve Champion provided they have the required membership card. If the Champion pony has previously qualified it is still entitled to the Silver Medal Rosette but the qualification card goes to the Reserve Champion pony, provided the owner of that pony is a member of the NPS. The Silver Medal Rosette and the qualification card can be awarded no lower than first Reserve (third). Foals are not eligible for Silver Medal Championships. Qualification may pass down to third place if the first and second ponies are already qualified. NPS/Rosettes Direct Home Produced Ridden Championship - Riders of Home Produced ponies (see definition in the NPS Rules Book) can wear a white arm band in classes where this is indicated. These ponies, if owned by NPS members, are then eligible to qualify for the final at the NPS Summer Championship Show. The Owner s Membership cards MUST be produced in the ring when requested or the qualification will be forfeit. South West Pony Association Championships Qualifying Rules This show is a qualifier for the South West Pony Association Championships to be held 30 th August -2 nd September 2018,at The David Broome Event Centre, Crick, Gwent.. To qualify for the Championships: 1. Enter one of the qualifying classes. 2. Be one of the two highest placed exhibits not already qualified within the first four and receive a qualification card signed in the ring. 3. Complete the entry form on the qualification card. 4. Return the card to together with any registration fees due within 14 days of this show. Please Note: Registration fee for 2018 is 30 to include all members of the family and equines owned by the family. Show Rules * Please park where instructed * Correctly secured up to latest stand hard hat MUST be worn by riders at all times when mounted. *The committee reserves the right to alter the times of classes or the Judge if necessary. *The judge s decision is final. *Unmannerly behaviour towards officials will not be tolerated, offenders will be asked to leave the showground. *Stallion discs must be worn by all colts over 2 and they must be bitted. *No entry fees will be refunded. *All ridden horses or ponies must be 4 years old or over. *All riders must be 3 years old and over. *NO BOXES TO BE MUCKED OUT ON SHOWGROUND 10 PENALTY BYE LAW. *First aid cover 4 per rider. *Push chairs, wheelchairs, buggies or bikes are not allowed in the horse walks and collecting rings without prior arrangement with the Secretary so that details can be checked with our insurance. *Please respect the show and the venue and tidy around you before leaving eg: litter, hay, muck etc. *The show committee insists that competitors have adequate third party insurance, the show will not accept any responsibility for any issues. Competing with ponies can be dangerous and it is each person responsibility to insure themselves, you accept this by entering the show.
