The Governor Dear Brothers and Co-workers, As 2017 comes to a close, I look back and think what a roller coaster ride this year was. 2017 was a challenging year for the lodge, with the temporary closure of the kitchen. With the kitchen re-opened, things are returning to normal and I believe the year has ended on a high note. I also hope that all members had a good holiday season. As you read through the newsletter, look at all the upcoming events that the lodge and chapter have planned, such as the Valentine s Dinner and Dance. Please come to these events, as they are planned for your enjoyment. Make some new friends, reconnect with some old friends. At the first lodge meeting in April, we will elect the new officers for 2018-2019. Now is the time to start planning if you desire to hold an elected office. The Nominating Committee will be meeting in February and March to nominate those brothers who are seeking a position on the Board of Officers. In February, nominating papers will be placed in the lodge for those brothers to complete for the office they desire. Finally, on behalf of the Lodge Officers and my family, we would like to wish all brothers and co-workers a very happy and healthy New Year. Fraternally yours, Joe Rudner Governor governorloom1539@gmail.com W.O.T.M. Hello, I hope everyone had a happy Thanksgiving with family and friends. From the desk of the Administrator The holidays are over and a fresh new year is upon us. I hope everyone had a joyous holiday. This past year has been an experience that has provided a multitude of opportunities for our lodge. We have finally completed the overhaul of the ladies room. It was certainly needed. I am sure that everyone knows that Jack has retired from the kitchen after serving for many years. Our new chef is Liz and she is certainly fitting into the lodge. People are coming back to the lodge for a good meal. I was quite surprised with the turnout for the sing along, it was a very entertaining night. There are many good things happening in the lodge. One only needs to look around to see them. We welcome any and all ideas to improve our overall performance. Don t forget our Valentines dinner in February. Watch the boards for upcoming events when you are in the lodge. I thank each and every one of you for the support you have given to Amy and myself, while we transition the lodge in a different direction, to make it a better place for all of us.
