Welcome to the Members Online Booking User Guide This guide is to help you understand and take you through the process of booking tee times through a computer be it from home, the office or in the clubhouse.

1. Registering: Go to the Club s website www.clontarfgolfclub.ie and click on Members Online Booking on the homepage. This takes you to a new screen where you can Register or Book your tee times. Click on the Click here to Register button to register your details on the system. This will bring up the Members Registration Form, which should be completed. On this form, please enter the Clontarf G.C. 8-digit number on the back of your GUI or ILGU swipe-card, as the username. If you do not have this number, please contact the office. NB: Do not use a GUI or ILGU number from any other Club that you may be a member of. The password is a password of your choice, but you will need this password in the future so please remember it or keep a record of it as we do not have access to your password. Without your registered password you will not be able to use the booking system. 2

Once all your details have been filled in, just click on the Register button and the following screen will show up. Your details will have been sent to the club s office and when your account is enabled, you will be sent an email to the email address you provided on the Members Registration Form, informing you that your account is active. Accounts will only be activated during office hours. If you do not receive the confirmation email within 2 working days, please contact the office. Once the system goes live and you have received this email you can start booking times for designated competitions online. 2. Booking Tee Times Online: NB: Please ensure you are registered and your account is enabled before trying to book times. To book your tee times online go to the Club s website www.clontarfgolfclub.ie and click on Members Online Booking on the homepage. This takes you to a new screen where you can Book your tee times. On that screen, click on the Book a tee time button which will bring you to the Login screen. Type in your username, (8-digit swipe-card no.) and your password (created when you registered on the system). 3

Click Login after you have completed both fields above. Once you click the Login button the next screen will bring you to the timesheets. For Competition Golf Bookings, click on the timesheet that you wish to enter. You can choose any of the timesheets in GREEN are these have been released and are available to members for booking. If a time sheet has not yet been released, it will appear on the screen in PINK and you will not be able to book a time for it until the release time. Times and dates of when timesheets will be released are given under the Competition title. Please note that the exact time the timesheet becomes available is determined by the time on the BRS server. 4

Clicking on the competition that you want brings you into a more detailed screen, as shown below, allowing you to book a particular tee time that you want. White spaces indicate that the tee time is available on the timesheet. Grey spaces indicate that the tee time has already been booked. Scroll along the list to find an available time you wish to play at, click on the Book Now button and the Player Details screen should appear. N.B. Please note that you have three minutes to complete your booking. If you take longer, then the tee time becomes available for other members to book. On timesheets, each member may book 4 slots for Four-balls, 3 slots for Singles and 1 Guest for Semi-Opens. On the Player Details Screen, click the dropdown arrows to choose your players. Player 1 must always be the name of the person logged in and making the booking. Your own name should appear in the first dropdown window. 5

You can also enter a second, third or fourth name, to play with you, depending on the competition format i.e. three ball or four ball. Clicking on the arrows in the other dropdown windows will bring up the list of members in the Club. After using the system a few times, for convenience and speed, your own Buddy List will appear on the top of the list. For Invitations or Semi-Opens you can enter visitors under the Guest title found at the top of the list. Once all names have been entered, click on the Confirm Booking button, this should then bring up the following confirmation screen. A confirmation email will also be sent to your registered email address. After reviewing all the information you can click the button and it will display your booking on the timesheet, highlighted in ORANGE as below. If you do not receive the confirmation email, check with the office as you may have registered it incorrectly when you first registered on the system. 6

3. Cancelling or Changing a booked tee time: To cancel or change your times online go to the Club s website www.clontarfgolfclub.ie and click on Members Online Booking on the homepage. This takes you to a new screen where you can Cancel or Change your tee times. On that screen, click on the Book a tee time button. Type in your username, (8-digit swipe-card no.) and your password (created when you registered on the system). Click Login after you have completed both fields above. Once you click the Login button the next screen will bring you to the timesheets Select and open the timesheet that you wish to alter your booking on. Scroll to the time you had booked, and click on the Edit button beside the line. This should bring up the screen from which you can cancel or change the names on your booking. It should have your name and your players names in each of the boxes. 7

To cancel the line, just tick the boxes beside all the names and click on Confirm Booking. This will remove all the players from the timesheet. The following confirmation screen should then appear. Once done, you will receive an email to your registered email address confirming the line has been cancelled. The time slot on the timesheet should now be available again for other members to book. If you wish, you can book an alternate tee time, providing one is available. To change one name or more, just tick the boxes beside the name/names you wish to change and click on Confirm Booking. This will remove the unwanted name/names from the timesheet. You can then enter other members into that timeslot, if you so wish. To do this you simply click the button to go back into the timesheet and enter the names through the button. 8

When you are finished with the timesheets and are happy with your entry simply click on the button. Please note: The member who books the line can remove players or cancel the full line. Members whose names have been booked by another member can ONLY remove their OWN name from a line; they CANNOT remove anyone else s name. We hope that this user guide has been of help to you. Should you have any difficulty with the Online Tee Booking System please contact Arthur who will be only too happy to assist you. This system, which was launched some six years ago, is currently being used extensively by other golf clubs throughout Ireland. It has been well tried and tested and is technically excellent. We request that you embrace this technology and thereby ensure the success of its introduction in our Club. A dedicated Clubhouse Touch Screen has been set up in the concourse to facilitate those members who do not have a computer available to them. Members must use their swipe cards to login to the system and book their tee times. Please note that fingers must be used when using the touch screen. Please follow instructions shown and do not interfere with screen settings. Be sure to Logout after completing your booking. The User Guide for Clubhouse Touch Screen is shown on next page. Any problems with system should be referred to the General Manager, Brian Johnston or Maureen Fowler. January 2008 CGC Home Page 9
