Our Football Training We are dedicated to provide the best coaching for the students involved in our football programme. With our links in the football world which are continually growing we are gaining access to some of the best coaching programmes and coaches. Unlike other programmes which may have general sports coaches, our coaches will have to be a UEFA qualified football coach. Our coaches will have specialised in house training and be mentored by exprofessionals who have progressed up the coaching ladder to the professional game. Where will you train? Training will take place at the clubs training ground and will either be on the grass pitch or the new 3G AstroTurf depending on the weather. How many days will you train? You will train for four days a week, usually Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday. Who will be the coach? Currently the three coaches who are working with our students are Warren Gladdy (FA Affiliate tutor with Herts FA and UEFA B qualified coach) Jesse Smith (Harrow Borough assistant manager) and Alex Cattini (Foundation Phase Coach at Tottenham Hotspur and UEFA B qualified coach) What will training involve? Throughout the programme you will work on technical ability, taking part in sessions designed to improve your technique. You will also take part in a fitness programme to increase your overall fitness. To prepare for the games programme you will work on team shape and tactics. What kit do I wear? You will be required to wear a personalised training kit, this will be available to purchase similar to other football and education programmes although we guarantee this is at a cheaper cost than any other programme.
Liam Sole was a previous scholar with us and signed for MK Dons in the summer of 2017 Games Our games programme is exciting and provides an experience on a regular basis, not provided by any other programme, in league and cup competitions. Can I continue to play with the club I am at? Of course you can, we actively encourage you to continue to play for your junior side at the weekend and hopefully our coaching improve your performances What competitions will I play in? The Tactic League (playing games against other semi-professional club academies such as Borehamwood and Wingate and Finchley FC), the Tactic league cup and the FA Colleges league. There is a chance for our highest achievers tom play in the FA Youth Cup for one of our affiliated sides and for our best players there is the chance to play in one of the senior sides at a semiprofessional level. Where will the games take place? All games are played on the home pitch which has one of the best surfaces in the county opposed to a college/park pitch. When do the games take place? The majority of games will take place on a Wednesday afternoon; however some games may take place in the evening under floodlights creating a new experience for many of the students.
